Hi there.
Something just occured to me when I came across this discussion.
It IS all ladies that have posted here..................isn't it? LOL
Regardless of what you wear, as long as you are comfy and enjoy your hols.
David
I hope not or somethings gone missing in the last few weeks
Sorry "wiz"
I wear my "travelling pants" - my comfy linen wide leg trousers that I've had for years and (depending on time of year) either a Tshirt or long sleeved top. I have a thin jacket that goes with my trousers that I can use for layering and I stick a pashmina in my hand luggage as mu shoulders often get cold on a plane. I also take a pair of fleecy socks if travelling long haul as my feet get cold. Flat shoes are a must - I could never wear heels to travel.
loose fitting t-shirt or polo, and loose fiiting pants of some description.. which basically allow my to do my best to be comfortable while being wedged into the seating (over 6 foot tall with long legs so I don't have much room to move about..)
i went on my hols with the whole family back in 1987,and i mean the whole brood, i was only 7, my auntie, who shall remain nameless for her own shames sake, rocked up to manchester airport in a pink and lime green shell suit, with the words ''summer breeze'' emblazened down the arm and leg, with an ultravox t-shirt underneath with a pair of 6 inch white stiletto heels on... it was the first time i had ever seen my dad drink an alcoholic beverage before a flight...he was dying of embarressment, we still have the photos and this story is still discussed every year over the christmas table.
oh my oh my... lol
I always think of that film alive when they crashed over the andes they wouldnt have got very far in a mini skirt and heels!
Also you should stick to loose clothing to prevent the risk of DVT.
Dave Lee Travis is prevented by loose clothing?
No bad thing not having the Hairy Monster around
You lot are mad!!!
when i went on holiday last theyir their was a young girl well she would be in her 30,s she wore a belly top with 3 quater jeans and a pair of 4 inch boots on the plane rm no thanx lol
bet you can't remember what your wife was wearing though....
anywear let alone to fly! I think the funniest though is those that come back to Britain desperate to show off their tans in tiny shorts/vests/flip flops when it's about 10 degrees here.
belly top and four inch heels? I wouldn't wear that Your auntie wasn't all that bad.She must've had a bit of taste if she had an Ultravox T-shirt! I had the pleasure of seeing them twice (when I was a lot younger) LOL.

i think it was more the mega-watt coloured shell suit coupled with the totally inappropriate sky scraping heals that finished my dad off, the irony of wearing a full track suit, whether the height of 80's chic or not, which made her look like a member of the olympic team with a pair of what can only be described as the least sporty footwear you have ever seen, was priceless, and the theme continued throughout the 2 week holiday...
You really brightened my day. As long as there are shops like Matalan and Primark, these sights don't have to be a thing of the past! I should know, I shop there regularly! LOL.
Take care.
David
Must admit when I come back I'm the one in shorts and t-shirt but its not to show off the tan its because I'm melting and I wear them all most all year around anyway....
I remember coming back from Italy with the family some years ago. It was hot when we left and absolutely freezing when we got to the UK. The mini-bus turned up over an hour late and we all had to open our cases to find warm trousers, jumpers etc.
Depends on weather. The last few times I've flown has been betwen Dublin and Stansted. I've worn clothes for the weather but I usually wear tracksuit bottoms, long sleeve top or a t shirt depending on weather and then my flece hooded top but keep hood down unles it's being used as a pillow. Shoes are usually trainers as they're easy to take off and put on again if needed by security. Neither Dublin or Stansted asked me to remove them back in may though. I noticed that people with trainers didn't need to take them off a lot of the time.
