Where are you going joolz? I expect you have said it somewhere but I can't see it.
I am probably wearing that colour when I go soon too. Love a bit of turquoise - too old for that colour or silver nail polish though!
Just a little tip about your feet - a while ago I bought an electric pedicure kit from Argos and it has done wonders for our toenails.
We are to Es Cana. You are nevvvvvver to old for silver nail polish!!!! Just been to Boots and got my travelling lippy - coral!!
my daughter would go in tutu fairy wings and those cheap plastic dress up shoes that are about 6 sizes to big, if i gave her a chance!!
Bet your little girl would look so cute - I would like to try wearing that but I lost my fairy wings years ago!!
yea i have my outfit for holiday i dont even have booked yet let the hunt commence!
combats, vest top and my comfy sandals. or maybe my turquoise tracksuit and my comfy sandals.comfy sandals definitely as they are quite heavy. I'm staying the night before at birmingham airport etap hotel so will decide when I get there
i dont know what to wear , going the last week of October so will need something warm for while we are this end , as i always find it cold on planes, but dont know what to expect weather wise the other end , going to Tunisia .
llindy. I am in the same boat as you. End October. I think I'll have to leave the decision until maybe the last week, check up on the forecast for the next 2 wks and then decide whether to wear a cardigan or a fleece! According to the holiday brochures temp should be 27, but now after reading all the reports on HT, could be cold at night. So much for my holiday dresses I usually wear at night
I'm going away to Majorca next week and have just been having this discussion via email with my mate - travelling early hours of the morning so will be cold this end but land in Spain around 10am so will be reasonably hot over there. Decided on leggings with a long vest top, flip flops and a cardi. Will then pack some thick socks for the plane as my feet always freeze and a pashmina to use as a blanket!
its the people with coats on that amuse me, travelling to Las Vegas, how many had tracksuits and coats on?? and then they get there and say - heck its hot!
good for you nikki
It's going to be difficult this year to decide what to wear, as we don't fly until the 19th October. I find it very strange and cold to go summery at that time of year, but don't want to end up looking stupid the other side. I'll have to have a think about it.
The reason so many of us wear coats at the airport is that we may need them when we get back, if not in the resort, and it saves weight in the suitcase. I remember leaving Tunisia in bright sunshine one February and getting back to freezing rain, which wasn't much fun whilst waiting for my lift. Also remember having to half unpack our suitcases at Gatwick to find some warm clothes when our transport was an hour late picking us up from a holiday in Italy.
Going Greece mid October, went June very hot, just thinking what to pack for evenings. Cropped jeans and tops I think, no strappy tops
Well bought my outfit for travelling in yesterday ..going to look a right chav .....black velour bottoms and matching jacket from primark £4.50 each item .

That doesn't make you a chav, it just makes you comfortable - I wish I was slim enough to wear velour - now if I wear velour I look like a chav
i only said that about looking like a chav ..because i'm at the crossroads of my life with age , too old for this and too young for that , have never worn anything like it before , but it felt comfy and hubby said it looked ok , perhaps i shouldn't use my HT luggage labels now cos you will all be looking for the chav in black velour at bristol airport
Don't be daft - you should be comfortable, I like to wear casual trousers or smartish jeans, but if I could wear a trck suit then I would - I would draw the line at shell suits though
Oh the very thought of it makes me shudder , its all about comfort these days
Absolutely, as long as I am smart, have comfortable shoes and a good handbag (love my bags) then the rest is unimportant
