Got a friend who's coming with us this time but she told me that she has a wheat allergy, so wants to know if she can get stuff there.
I know that the mainland Spain supermarkets (Mercadona do since they went to Benadorm last year) is okay, but wasn't sure about the ones at Tenerife?
Any resteraunts that are good with Allergies? We'll be in Costa Adeje but as I always have a car and will be taking them to various spots, all recomendations welcome.
thanks
At HIPER TREBOL in Los Cristianos, as you walk towards the entrance, on the left hand side, there is a health food shop that can accommodate with all your friends needs
Yes mercadonna in Tenerife also has Wheat free stuff.
here's a link to the old topic...
thanks did a search but didn't see that thread
The Bistro, Los Cristianos, is a highly recommended restaurant. You can pre-book and there is a section to enter any dietary requirements.
The co-owner said he could cope wth gluten-free diets.
Good luck,
Margaretta
You will be able to buy rye/pumpernickel bread in the supermarkets, as they cater for the German tourists. Also ryvitas. .
allmen
Oh thanks Allmen, that explains it.

Avoid the British eating places, they do tend to mislead you (not tell the truth). The Local places were fantastic and honest. Sorry to anyone who owns such a place. Any place I tried told me no problem, we can cater for you, then plonk a bowl of bread in front of us. We do the same at home............... Walk Out.
If you need any other pointers or that link doesn't work im me.
We have 3 in our family we have to eat Gluten/Wheat Free.
