My husband has just come back from town and told me that i am off back to Sharm in my lovely hotel Sonesta beach Resort on the 5th June for a week. As work was so busy he decided to take a week out, so how exciting is that. Only 7 weeks and counting

Sitting in the Gatwick Hilton , flying tomorrow - can't wait. 6 nights sharm then 8 nights Swisscare Nuweiba

Questions, questions - Do we need Visas? Should I get them before we travel? How much do they cost? Is there duty free at Taba? What are the allowances? Can we take drinks into Egypt with us? What are the local drinks like? Wiil it be hot in July? What about evenings? Should I bring a hat? Is the food good there? Will there be mosquitos? Can I borrow snorkelling gear? Or should I take my own? Are there fridges in the rooms? Are towels provided? Can we swim with dolphins? Are disposable underwater cameras worth taking? Will we be able to get a camel ride? What trips are there? How much? Can I wear a pair of oversize shorts on the beach? How do I say 'hello' in Arabic? And 'thank you'? Does the hotel have internet access? Is there a decent house reef? Any sharks? Are there any dangerous fishes? What's Baksheesh? How much is a reasonable tip? For putting my luggage on the transfer bus? For the person who cleans my room? For the bar staff? Have we made a good choice?
