I'm staying put. With five grown up children and seven grandchildren living fairly locally one of them always invites me for Christmas Day and I see the others over the holiday period as well, so I can't really bunk off. I've always said if I thought they were saying "who's got to have Mum this year?" I'd go abroad, but so far I don't think it's come to that.

Weather permitting I'll take the dog to the fields by the high point of town & watch all the fireworks going off. It would be lovely to have a white new year though, like lots & lots of snow :D

We are off to Benidorm on 23 December, staying at the Madeira Centro hotel. We've never been away at Xmas before, but often at New Year.

I would have preferred to go at New Year, but the flight prices were £100 each more so Xmas it is.

Went to Torremolinos last year from 26 December till 31 December so was away for neither!
