Well ilovecrete I'd like to think I'm not all bad! We certainly share a love of Crete. Enjoy your imminent visit.
We only ate out a couple of times in Hersonissos on the evenings and although it was 'quite lively' it wasn't too bad at all. We did find that Piskopiano was a much better scene for a quiet but enjoyable night out for a meal and drinks so would highly recommend this little village. Also a nice place for a night out (and a liitle more lively than Piskopiano but not as lively as hersonnisos) was a place called Koutouloufari which again was very nice.
Hope this helps,
Justin
So far I have stayed in Plakias (south west), Georgioupolis (north west) and recently Sissi (North east). I can reccommend each one although it is 21 years since I went to Plakias. We like small traditional resorts with lots of lovely authentic tavernas and haven't been disappointed.
