You sound a well travelled guy!, so bearing in mind what there is to do in Olu, would you suggest anywhere else to go? Crete, Portugal and Cyprus have all been mentioned to us, any ideas?

Also, what do you think the weather will be like in September?

Dont know if this will help your decision, but last year we were talking in a bar with a young couple with a baby who were staying at the Karbel Sun. They said it was very quiet, this may or may not suit you depending on what you are interested in. They did say it was nice though, just a bit quiet for them. I think they got to use the facilities at the Karbel anyway, which seems to be much bigger. So probably the best of both worlds.

I had a nosey around the Karbel, it looked nice with a large pool area, with sunbeds etc, the sort of hotel that has music playing round the pool a lot of the day. I think both hotels get good reports.

You would be able to walk to the beach from both hotels.

Holidays4U do holidays to the Karbel and Karbel sun hotels.They are cheaper than other operators.You can book online or through travel agents.Travelcare(co-op) had the brochures last year.As for location to the beach,it is a very compact resort and no where is more than 5-10 minutes walk to the beach.We walked from the end of the lagoon where the Sun City hotel had their private beach,to the main promanade in 15 minutes.

im very well travelled in that area after 16 years a turk fanatic but i have also been to the greek isles and enjoyed it
dont like spain wouldn't go to portugal again, loved northern cyprus
these are just my personell views, i just keep returning to what me and the other half enjoy
we brought a property 6 years ago before it went silly on the prices and have never looked back

Hi, I have stayed at the Montebello Beach and the Karbel, not the Karbel sun but it is next door to the Karbel so saw it. The Montebello Beach is slightly nearer the beach, if you decide on there request a high floor room as some of them were below path level. The Karbel is lovely a lot bigger than the others so a bit noisier but the breakfast was better more choice in the buffet. The pool area is also bigger. We have stayed at many hotels in Olu and find them all very good not a lot to choose between them really. The Karbel beach was good last year and that is nearer to the beach a small quiet hotel again depends what you want. We have booked through Med Hotels, somewheretostay, wintersunshine holidays all are worth looking at for good prices.
