Hi, gaza. Sorry, have never been to any of these hotels, but I was in Tunisia last year and stayed in the sister hotel of the Riu Belleview. Our hotel was exactly next door, also a Riu and all reports we heard from the Belleview were absolutely excellent. The food in our hotel was amazing, something for every taste and it was all inclusive too. The Belleview looks super but then maybe someone may be of more help. One thing about the Belleview is that it takes about 45mns to stroll from there to the centre, which may put you off. Hope you get info about the other hotels on your list, but I believe the Iberostar hotels have a really good reputation.

Hi,

I personally much prefer Hammamet to PEK so would choose one from your Hammamet list. However, there are many on this forum who would say exactly the opposite! It may be worth picking your resort first, based on what you want to do on your holiday etc.

I stayed at the Phenicia in Jan '04 and really enjoyed it. The food was excellent, and the staff friendly without being intrusive. At that point the hotel had recently been refurbished so everything is up to date and modern. It's about a 10 - 15 minute walk (turn right out of the hotel's main drive, walk along the road, past a row of shops and turn right down the road directing you to a handful of other hotels), to some decent restaurants and a few souvenir shops and mini markets.

The hotels in Yasmine Hammamet are newer and grander. I've not stayed in them, but have visited and doubt you'd be disappointed.

One thing to note is that out of season Yasmine is very quiet - when we went to have a look around mid October, in the evening, (we definitely visited the Bellisaire though don't now remember if we also went to the Averroes) we saw only a handful of other guests. Of course, this may be exactly what you want, but if you prefer somewhere a little more lively you may be better off in a different hotel. However, wherever you stay, taxis are cheap so you can always go elsewhere for the evening.

Re all inclusive - all the hotels you've listed are likely to have good or excellent food, however eating out in Tunisia is comparatively cheap and there are some lovely restaurants in both resorts.

A.
