I'm excited! I'm a bit of a holiday queen in that I have a lot but as I am semi retired and there are no pockets in shrouds I have to pack them in. My girlfriends and I joke that while we can still remember how to get home we will pack them in as often as possible. I returned from one holiday with the girls last week and am due another to Datca, Turkey with my husband at the end of the month. Case has just been emptied but is staying out and gradually getting filled again.

I am excited now and we dont go until September 21st. Since I was not expecting a holiday at all this year, to find that we were having one was a lovely surprise. We are going to Menorca, flying from Donny. I have never been to menorca and it will be an exploring holiday rather than my usual dive holidays....can't wait. So need that time away. best get looking on the forum and asking questions!!

Just in the process of booking a long weekend in New York for a surprise birthday in June. They'll have a shock when they get onboard the large blue aircraft and realise they aren't going to Blackpool (which is where they normaly go!) for their birthday. They've got me organising it this year though and the best bit, I'm going too

I've flown on them, you get too many bugs in your hair and it might not get us from Amsterdam to JFK! The organising is quite good fun, and keeping it secret is going to be fun too. Flights and visas will be sorted this evening, hotel is next on my list (in Time Square) then stretched limo from JFK in to Manhatton. If you're doing it, might as well do it in style :cheers

....cant go on my birthday ...so 11th July instead...then in sept.....I know they say You're only 60 once ...but no rules about how many times you celebrate it...going to try squeeze turkey in next july too...before my excuse runs out...

Going pefkos in july...with 3 of my lads...hubby staying home to mind the animals

Then pefkos in sept....with hubby...so he didnt get missed out of the celebration...lads looking after...animals

Not me that's 60, a long way to go before that, but birthday girl will be 60. You'll have a great time in pefkos, always need a holiday to look forward to don't you.

I suddenly got excited yesterday when they were banging on about the 100 days to the Olympics. I suddenly relaised that it was 97 days to my holidays and that by the time I get back the games will be over! Result!
