I have used wintersunshineholidays a few times. And i have recently booked rooms for my family to stay in Salou. When reading through the posts at first i though 'oh no, don't tell me that they have gone bust' especially after i reccommended them to my aunty. I rang them and left a e-mail but got no reply. But i only contacted them because i thought that they had folded. With so many people not having contact with them. Glad that's not the case though. Also how nice was it of Mr David Clifford to contact this website and put peoples minds at rest.
hi jules and all thanks for sorting out my problem i have been contacted by david clifford and will be paying my balanceon monday
I'm sure that Mr Clifford would have preferred if there had never been any need for this discussion in the first place. But to give you an idea of the urgency with which he treated the matter, after e-mailing him yesterday I immediately returned here to let concerned members know that I would update the topic if and when any information was received. As I was about to post, I could see that Mr Clifford had just registered an account and was in the process of posting his own message to worried members. That all happened literally within a matter of a few minutes of being alerted to the situation.
As well as acknowledging publicly that there was a temporary problem with communication, Mr Clifford took immediate action to help alleviate the situation, and also contacted several members personally to offer his re-assurances. I have no intention of turning this into an advertising topic for Winter Sunshine Holidays but I hope that when it comes to potential customers reading this topic in the future, that as well as taking note of that unfortunate temporary communication problem, they pay particular attention to the immediate attention which was given to rectifying it.
If only we could see more of the travel industry responding so quickly to customer concerns !!
David
And i wish Mr Clifford every success in their forthcomning upgrade of the website. And thank him for taking the time out to come on this message board and re-assure everybody that booked with his company.
Well done.
Received my accomodation voucher by post today, roll on 30th may!!
is it safe to use wintersh then and all its other names find a room .com
WSH are perfectly fine to use, they had a temporary problem with communication which was explained by Mr Clifford himself, the MD of the company, in this thread.
I personally have used them many times, and taken advantage of the loyalty discount they offer. I have never encounted any problems with them, either before travelling or whilst in resort.
In my opinion, they be mustard! (Slang translation = very good)
Jazz.
yes Jazzman I did read it...just asking. Have booked with them now.
I travel to Gran Canaria in June this year and this will be my 6th holiday accommodation booked through Winter Sunshine Holidays. I have never had a problem booking holidays with this company and have built up a good personal relationship with this company. In my experience searching for holidays can become a nightmare - I always read the reviews on holidays uncovered but am usually left none the wiser - one person gives a great review and another person will trash the same! And I dont believe in looking for the very cheapest on offer - companies offering the same accommodation are always going to compete for the business but you have to be conscious of all the aftercare that goes into your booking. This is where Winter Sunshine Holidays have proved themselves to me as a reputable company and I shall continue to use them.

I often find that too if I visit inferior sites.
You can access our hotel reviews via the link in the top left hand corner of the page, but our members often express different opinions too, as personal standards, preferences and expectations can vary widely.

Saucer of milk, table five. hehe
Thanks David. I will certainly have a look (hopefully there wont be loads of 'pop-ups' at the end either!). I am open minded about these reviews and agree that different people have different opinions, its just a shame when some people post totally irrelevant stuff!
Holiday Truths does not have pop ups
I phoned winter sunshine and they said there was probably just a delay in their agents passing the booking to the hotel. What concerns me most is that we are due to arrive around 11pm and if there is a problem we will have nowhere to stay.
Can anybody help please
Michelle
And so in your particular case it may not be that the booking has not been passed to the hotel, it may just be that the names of that day's arrivals have still to be passed.
However, as a result of your post here, I have no doubt that Winter Sunshine Holidays will be in swift contact with you to allay any concerns.
Please keep us updated, and I hope that you have a wonderful holiday.
David
I have had 2 pms from Winter Sunshine Holidays who are now reconfirming my booking with the hotel. I must say I am very impressed with their swift reply to my concerns.
I appreciate that they sometimes don't advise of names until very close to the date and from their replies in this topic before I have every confidence in their service.
I will let you know what the outcome is.
Michelle
I can now relax and look forward to my holiday
Their customer service is excellent and from my experience so far I would definately recommend this company.
Michelle
Following on from my earlier post, I too have received confirmation from WSH that the matter has been resolved. My understanding is that while your reservation was confirmed from the contracted allocation of rooms, it was a case of the names rather than the booking still having to be passed across to the hotel.
But this has now been completed, so get out there and enjoy yourself !!
David
We are staying at the Rialto so I'll do a review when we get back as there doesn't seem to be much feedback on this hotel.
