I know what you mean, we got 2 bags within 10minutes last week. My concern on holiday is if the bag isn't pushed through the letterbox. I am very lucky as I have great neighbours and they make sure for me but it's annoying. I don't think you can stop them same applies to pizza flyers!!!!

Saves buying bin liners I suppose. We give all ours to some accountant friends. Ideal for all the shredded paper they generate.
Our outdated clothes and such are donated to CART - http://www.cartyorkshire.co.uk/ - a charity founded by someone in the village. Nobody working for them gets paid a salary.

I put a note on my letterbox saying,No plastic bags or catalogues, but no one took any notice.
Just today while talking to my neighbour a bloke came up the drive with leaflets and we both told him No Thank you,but it fell on deaf ears. :que
Maybe a picture of a Rottweiler on the letterbox may work. :rofl

We find that the worst problem now is the piles of bumph which the postie delivers ~ twice a week - offers from Sky,BT,Insurance cos. etc etc..... asked the Post Office to stop and was told "its not possible even if you are registered with MPS"!!! :duh

My hubby works for Royal Mail and delivers the 'households' as that is how the mail is referred to.
No way of stopping individual deliveries. Think hubby would appreciate if they didn't have to deliver the 'households' especially for the amount they deliver and the amount they are paid to do so.

I make a point of "recycling" it via the local Council bin - maybe if enuf people did that then Councils would try to put pressure on the PO to stop delivering the c**p!!

How about putting 'Return to sender' on them and put in post box!!! :tup

Unfortunately most of the stuff the postie delivers isn't in envelopes - its just a wadge of glossy advertising bumph

very annoying ( but then we use them as bin bags lol )
we get at least 4 a week !

the "households" just get put straight into the paper recycling box !

what a waste of trees !

Commented post them back.
.
That is what I do, everytime I receive something with a sae, I
always send them back.
Another thing is put the leaflets that have no envelope, in one that
has a envelope & mix em up.
Send a double glazing one to insurance company, credit application form
to double glazing, then insurance form to credit company.
This will have them studying, they will think they had a customer, & the
customer has put the wrong form in their envelope. :whoops :think :duh .
In fact just done it put a tesco mobile phone leaflet in homeserve membership
ltd envelope, put a window sellers card in a insurance envelope. :rofl

My hubby draws a funny picture on the return letter, of a bald man with big teeth peeping over a wall - I suppose it'll raise a laugh in the offices (they could probably do with one) :tup
