last time i was in tsilivi the beach was terrible

i think you are being unfair on the beach, ok at the side of fig tree bay it is way behind but i have seen many worse and certainly should not put people off

Unfortunately, Argo Holidays have gone bust now. We went to Tsilivi with them in 2006 and 2007. Shame, but sign of the times at the mo!

Myself & my wife fancy trying Zante this year but are unsure which hotel to stay in, we have 2 kids aged 12 & 5 so a good pool scene is essential. Also decent day/night entertainment is essential too, as although we do like to go out and about, when we stay in the hotel we dont like to be bored!!

We're looking at 10 nights at the end of July ish, HB or AI....anybody have any suggestions that dont cost the earth?

Still showing the winter timetables i'm afraid but, keep looking i'm sure they will be updated.

I have had a mega search and i'm pretty good at digging up all and any information but, can't find any photos for the whitehouse apart from the one on the Olympic brochure. What doesn't make things easy is that their is also a whitehouse in Alykanas and photos of "white houses" are pretty common around the Med

I'm not sure if I am posting in the correct thread or not. I was hoping to Travel to Zakynthos at the end of August with my other half, this is were I'm hoping someone can help as I can't seem to find any flights from Belfast.

I have booked to go to Kalamaki in June and want to do a spot of island hopping to Kefalonia. I know there is a car ferry which operates only in the season and goes from Ag Nikolaos in the north. The question is, does anyone know if this operates daily or wether it only goes on certain days of the week! It would be helpful to know so I can get some rooms sorted on Kef!

Was last in Zante in 2007 and they had just opened the new terminal for arrivals and were working on departures - so much better. Still long queues for departures but I imagine that has changed now. They have shaded the outside area for the queues so it is not too bad. It is a lovely island so would be a shame not to go because of this. Tsilivi is a wonderful family and couples resort - not loud and brash so not so good for teens and twentys. Wonderful beach with warm shallow water going out for a very long way, ideal for little ones. We stay in the Anetis Hotel which is right on the beach and is a very small family run hotel (the first in Tsilivi). It is basic but spotlessly clean and the family cannot do enough for you. Most people return time and time again. Very relaxing and very central hotel in a lovely little resort with plenty of wonderful places to eat and drink. Basically split in two with up a small rise there are more lively bars and a couple of nightclubs and on beach level the original village with mostly restaurants and small bars and tavernas - so everyone is happy. Cannot reccommend Tsilivi enough so a bit of a wait at the airport is not too high a price to pay - remember all Greek airports are not quite up to scratch as say The Costas

Hi Kath..

As Wizard state it operates daily during the summer season.
Twice daily and again weather permitting the channel between the islands
can get pretty rough. I think the times below are carved in stone and haven't
changed for several years.

Check with you car hire that you can take the car off the island.

That is just the info I wanted - and yes our regular car hire company that we use has confirmed we can take the car off the island. We did previously from Lefkada to Fiscardo and Meganissi. Do we book the tickets at Ag Nikolaos or will a local tour agent book it in advance for us. We plan to stay either 2 or 3 nights.

It might be worth looking for a Zakynthos - Kyllini - Kefalonia Ferry. depending where your destination is on Cephalonia.

I was looking on the Marine Traffic site and this Ferry is running between Zakynthos - Kyllini - Poros ports.

Longer route but, could save you time if your nearer to Zakynthos port and your destination is further south on Cephalonia like Skala..

Hi, have just booked these studios for myself, hubby and son (17) for July. Has anyone been to these studios, cant seem to find any reviews on here. Also has anyone any info on Alinkana - are there many ATM's, is there a large supermarket in the town, are the buses frequent and oh yes - hubby said what is the greek beer called and is it any good? Sorry for all the questions. The info I have found so far has all been good. Thanks Di.
