The resort of Albena is spotless, we saw people cleaning every day. It has beautiful gardens which were also worked on all day.

There are plenty of pubs and places to eat but as we were all inc. we didnt use these. There is a small amusement area for kids and believe it or not an ice rink!

The beach is within walking distance from all hotels and is beautiful with plenty to do i.e. banana boats, waterskis, paragliding etc. We went out on a half hour boat trip for 8 lev which took you from one end of the beach to the other and back, this was the only time I saw any jellyfish as it was away out in the sea!

Would definately visit the resort again!

The resort of Albena is nice, the beach is lovely and nice to walk along. The restaurant just down the road from the Albena Beach club is fantastic and the best meal of the holiday.
There is a little noddy train that goes to the centre which is not too far away. We went there a few times to buy a few gifts.

The resort was very clean and we thought it was a lovely place, the entertainment in the resort was ok there was afew good pubs but we rally enjoyed the bowling alley which had kareoke and stayed open till 6am. The beach was very nice, very clean and good food places on the beach front. We would never visit the resort again and wouldnt advise others.

Albena is not a hectic resort, but saying that there was plenty to do. There were a variety of stalls which sold the normal tourist souvenirs/items. Everything was inexpensive, bordering on cheap. Pancakes could be bought for 1 lev (37p): Candyfloss for 3 lev. Our kids went on a banana boat ride for 10 lev and a trampoline/bungee jump for 8 lev.
It was a lovely walk along the beach into the centre of Albena from our hotel (the Albena Beach club) or you could take a road train for 2 lev per person.
The beach was beautiful, not crowded, and not many hawkers. The sea was warm, if a little choppy at times; we really enjoyed playing in the surf. There were no stones nor rocks. The sea was shallow for a good distance out and there were lifeguards in attendance.
It was a lovely place and I would recommend Bulgaria as a holiday destination.

Albena is very much a family resort, but as it is all owned by one family the prices tend to be higher here than anywhere else. However it is a lovely place to stay and in our opinion much nicer than Golden Sands down the road.

There is plenty going on for the children, the beach is lovely and there are a good variety of restaurants etc

The resort was nice and clean with plenty of shops. At night there didn't seem to be much entertainment or atmosphere in any of the bars. The drinks and food were very cheap. The beach was clean and the sea was clear. If you are going to this resort the best place to stay was the Flamingo Hotel which was brand new and looked lovely. It was also right in the centre and about 5 minutes walk to the beach.

We can't fault the cleanliness of the resort. Everywhere you looked, women were brushing the paths. There was no litter at all. Plenty of pubs/restaurants in resort, all of which had live entertainment on. Beach was packed with sunloungers so, if you don't want one, you have to look for a space to spread out your towel. But, again, very clean.

Albena is a fantastic resort. From Albena Beach Hotel you can jump in a road train (great fun)right from the door to Albena for 2 Leva (about 80p). Nobody bothers with the taxis, they are only used for going further afield if you want. You can slow walk to Albena in 20 minutes easily, half on safe paths the rest on a promenade.

Lots of shops and resaurants/ pubs/ hotels. Great for getting Ye Olde Photo's taken or Portraits painted. There are dogems, bungee jumps, Paint ball, Go Karting etc and lots of kids rides.

Dont bother with the horses and carts. Look ok from a distance but once on them you cant see anything and uncomfortable. Also I asked how much for 1/2 an hour, he clearly stated 30 Lev but at the end after handing him the money he pulled out a large card showing 40 Lev (playing on the language barrier). (They have different cards on board, showing different prices and will try to get as much out of you as possible.)

Overall though Albena is a great resort!
