If you visit Albena make sure you visit Poco Loco dance restaurant right on Hotel Malibus doorstep we spent most nights there the kids loved it and we grew fond of it too. They get you all up on the stage to dance and they love kids good job as we had five between us.

The foods good too the garlic bread is a must its worth going back just for that! A visit to Varna is a must a 40 min taxi ride to Varna was £3.50 but make sure you agree the fare before you set off. 2 pints of largar& 5cokes cost us £1.80 in varna a huge slice of pizza 33pence beware lots of poverty in varna!

Albena is fantastic, not too big not too small.
It is very clean and well maintained.
There are numerous shops, resturants and bars.
Our favorite is the Poco Loco, the food is excellent and the staff are very friendly and only to willing to help.
The dancing is fantastic and we never saw them without a smile on there face.
The beach is excellent and shelves gently into the sea making it perfect for children.
There are plenty of watersports to try if you want.
All in all Albena is a great resort and we would not hesitate to visit again.
We have booked for Turkey next year (1st time)and looking forward to somewhere different

Albena is a small resort compared to sunny beach and golden sands. If your elderly or have small children then this is the place for you.

If your looking for loads of clubs and bars then I would suggest sunny beach. The beach is safe and clean. With different activities going on. Such as banana boats, jets skies, doughnut rings and many more.

Along the the beach there are many restuarants and even take aways such as kebabs, burgers, hotdogs, doughnuts, panckes, ice creams etc.

There are many different resturants along the main street. One restaurant called Cocos is outside and there staff do dancing, they have a chinese, and ship which also has entertainment.

There isn't much nightlife but if you look you will find it. The Tropical cafe is a karoke bar and they have a live band every night. It is also a resturant. Same answer I would go back here in a heart beat.

We went to Bulgaria believing it would be a cheap family holiday, with drinks approx 30p per glass, McDonald burgers 15p etc but we were proved wrong when we arrived. Everything in our resort was more expensive than previously thought, with drinks equalling £1.10 each, which left us rather disappointed, when you think you are multiplying this by 3 children it works out pretty expensive. However, everything else made up for it!

Also beware of the taxi drivers! Many rip you off ‘because you’re English,’ so take the local buses (which are in fact simply Mini buses) to take you places. These are much more reliable and the driver often spoke to us happily all the way about life in England! We visited Varna, which is a fantastic place to shop for designer clothes, and here the prices are as we had hoped for Albena! 15p for drinks, burgers and ice cream from McDonalds!! Fantastic for the kiddies!

The beach was stunning in Albena! Very clean, but very hot, so I would defiantly recommend you take flip-flops to walk around (unless you want burnt tootsies!) There were lots of water sports taking place, including Para-gliding for one or two people (I think that’s what it was called – where you fly up in a parachute whilst a speed boat drags you along) these were very safe, you are told exactly what to do, and nothing can go wrong. I would definitely recommend this, as it is only about £15 for two people, if I remember correctly.

I would like to say that if you were expecting good quality clothing, you would sadly be left disappointed. It is of very poor quality which didn’t last two minutes (Literally) but as I say, it is a poor country and they need to make a living some how!

There is a little market at the back of our hotel that sells, homemade jewellery, kiddie’s games, henna tattoos, hair braiding etc. But the one thing you will find hundreds of, are painters (So if you want a good quality painting of you and your family, pet etc. then I would recommend taking a photo with you and he will do a great job for such a cheap price!) Another common stall here is a photo booth thingy. This is where a photographer will dress you up in old-fashioned outfits, do your hair and makeup set you a great backdrop and give you props and you pose in a photograph! All for an unbelievable £10!!! I would strongly recommend you and / or your children have this done. They look so professional friends of ours couldn’t believe the cost of them!

The resort was ok but was very basic. The beach was the best part of it because it was very clean and a nice breeze. The enterainment was very good, the bars had nights where they did bingo and karaoke and comedians.
