Albena, the time just flies by when I am there, even after twelve visits, I have still not found the time to go to rooftop Cafe at the Drobruja Hotel.
I find it so safe to walk about, do not atagonise the locals by wearing all your gold, if you do you ask for trouble, the same if you go to Varna, if you take Cameras, take from England some good plain carrier bags, put your goods in them.
The Beach is wonderful, have walked almost to Balchik one way and to Golden Sands the other. Although a non drinker I can still find plenty of entertainment and that does not mean the ladies of leisure.
I am going back again June and Sept this year see you there

Albena resort is like a bad copy of Butlins it tries to cater for everyone but falls short, for a chilled night out go to the market find a little bar over looking the main drag and people watch for an hour.
Watching the horror on men’s faces as the prostitutes approach is priceless.
Overall for a week in the sun for the same price as a weekend in Skeggy, not bad.

The Road Train was very convenient and fun. I took myself off for an hour for a round trip of the town. Very interesting. I didn't walk around the resort though.

A compact resort with a number of excellent bars and restaurants. The beach is Blue Flag, with all the benefits that implies, and offers a number of water sports. The resort also offers 10 pin bowling, horse riding, bungee catapults and a small funfair. It's well placed for getting out into the surrounding area if you want that.
This is an excellent resort for families with children up to about 14 or 15.

The resort of Albena is rather small with very little to offer apart from the main street, bars resturants and shope, ( be warned you will be hassled in these shops,if they think for one minute that you may actually buy something). If we were to go back then we would only go for one week, maybe the bad weather had alot to do with our feelings about the resort, although Bulgaria is a very green country and this in its self should tell you something about the climate. If you do take a taxi anywhere then ensure that you agree a price before hand as they will just charge what they want.

The resort of Albena itself is very nice. I wasn't too impressed with the beach myself as I found it too busy. The market street was excellent, everything was so cheap! I would definately recommend taking a photograph with you and getting a portrait done. It's well worth the money! - in particular the black and white drawings

Albena is quiet and small, it maybe OK for a week but there isn't enough there to keep you entertained for two weeks. Bars shut early and prostitutes roam the streets. Also beware of pickpockets and thieves in the crowd.
People on the whole are friendly and most restaurants serve decent (and cheap!) food. Poco Loo is a must for anyine stopping in Albena.

The resort was very clean i didn't see any litter anywhere. There were people cleaning the streets early in the morning everyday.
As for resort Entertainment i didn't go out much at night time as i had a small child but on the occasions we did go out all the bars make children welcome and there are people acting as statues in the centre as well as singers in the bars and the shops are open till 12 if not later.
The beach is lovely, however when we went down we got bitten by mosquitos, and there were jelly fish in the sea. Plenty of watersports available at reasonable prices.
I would visit this resort again but not to stay only on a day visit.

Albena itself is very nice, very clean and nice beach but not much going on entertainment wise.Lacking nightlife. Very freindly people but not nice seeing all the prostitutes hanging around at night!!Watch out for pick pockets though, I had my bag slashed but luckily they didnt get anything.Shops very repetitive but staff very nice, dont hassle you too much, need more shops!!!
