I stayed in the Super Breezes for 2weeks. They were very good getting us into our rooms when we first arrived. Rooms basic but ok I would have thought they'd have been better, but still ok. Toilet kept on blocking but cleaner sorted this out everyday.

Pool big and lots of room, the beach fantastic! 2mins away from rooms.

Food 24hrs when one food room closes then another one opens. Good options of food ie; BBQ, pizza,Dom Rep food. The main food room at night changes themes like Dom rep style, Chinese, American. Was good but sick of repeated same food types. Restaurants excellent, Chinese fantastic!!! Must try.

My friend got married here and the wedding was fantastic on the beach.

Only downfall to this hotel was the entertainment, they had a show on 8pm till 10.30pm dancing shows that was good but afterwards nothing. A club opened downstairs but wasn't very good. Need more entertainment around pool and night! Apart from that good!!

When we arrived the hotel from the outside kooked amazing we checked in quick and it was clean when we got to the room it wasn't ready and we had to sit on balcony till it was finished. The room was clean but basic.

The food at the hotel wasn't up to much and the same most days. A la cartes were ok but nothing special the staff were very friendly and the best thing about the hotel.

The entertainment was very poor and we were bored at night there wasn't enough to do.

All in all I wouldn't return to this hotel.

Not too bad for children with many facilities. As with many such large complexes they appeared to be understaffed, with the few trying their hardest to clean and maintain. Maintenance was a bit hap hazard.

Food was as expected-do try the Japanese and French restaurants. Do avoid where possible the loud and pushy Americans who push in and flaunt the rules on tipping!

Good dive school and watersports facilities.

Not too much reason to leave the resort really during the holiday! If in one of the sea view/pool rooms you may find it a bit noisy.

Overall, they are trying their best.

Hey! My name is Chrissy and I just got home from my vacation at Breezes Punta Cana, and I had the time of my life! I enjoyed my week so much that I won't return for just a week. Next time I go, I will for sure stay for two weeks.

I was very hesitant about going there because I had read many horrible reviews for this resort, so that made me a bit worried; just don't let a few minor faults ruin your vacation at all.

The people who work there try their absolute best to make everyone happy, and I don't find it very nice when people yell at them for making mistakes. I heard a few people complaining all the time to the front desk about how unhappy they were, and that bothered me so much. Last year I went to Puerto Plata for my first time, and it was alright except the beach wasn't nice at all. So this year, my mom, dad, and I went to this resort. We stayed February 25th until March 4th.

The ROOMS: I just thought I would start with the only bad news first, because everything else about the hotel was good. When we arrived at the hotel at 2 in the morning on Sunday February 26th, we were sent to a room on the bottom level. It didn't smell the greatest, and I think that was only because it was on the bottom floor. I'm being completely honest, and I am not one of those people who complain about everything. So we just stayed in the room for the night, and asked if we were able to move to a higher level the next morning. They said we weren't able to, until the next day. Then we went back the next day, and they said the same thing as the day before. So finally after 3 nights in that room, my dad went to the Transat person there and explained our situation. After all of that, we were moved to a beautiful room on one of the top floors, and it was amazing. The view of the pool and the ocean was just great!

The BEACH: is the most beautiful beach that I have ever seen in my entire life; there's no question about that. Powder white sand, and clear, warm salt water. It was perfect! If you love staying in the sun all day, we always found chairs to sit at. Also, if you would rather sit in the shade, there are little hut thingys to sit under and that will keep the sun off of you. Surprisingly, there weren't as many vendors on the beach as I thought there would be. It was a great place to relax. Although, a couple guys come around every so often to take your picture with either an iguana, parrots, or a little monkey.

The POOL: was amazing! It is a huge, well maintained, free-formed pool with a swim-up bar and everything! I spent a lot of my time around the pool area because I enjoyed participating in the games. It is busy near the pool area, so I had to wake up early enough to put my towel on one of the chairs. The games by the pool were really fun, but sometimes a little embarrassing!

The ENTERTAINMENT: as I just finished saying, there were many games all day by the pool. Also, they have games of volleyball on the beach, a trapeze, trampoline, rock climbing and many others. My favourite thing to do was the trapeze! I was too scared to go on it at first, so unfortunately, I waited till one of my last days to try it. But when I did try it, I had so much fun! You have to be brave, but I suggest you try it! The shows at night were great too! Each night, they had a different theme for their show, and every one that I went to was very good. The dancers are seriously amazing! They have a huge stage, and perform on it every night, and sometimes they get people from the audience to come up and play a game or something.

The STAFF: I loved them all. They are SO friendly and fun to talk to; and the happiest people I have ever met. Participating in the games by the pool, or the trapeze is a great way to get to know them a little more.

The FOOD: again, I will be honest; it wasn't the best, but it was alright. There were many different places to eat, but some of them were A La Carte Restaurants and you needed reservations. When we arrived at the hotel, we got 3 dinner reservations, but we only went to one of them because the other 2 had times that weren't good for us. Almost every night we went for supper at the main buffet restaurant. It was pretty good, except if you eat from there night after night, you may get tired of it.

To finish, I just want to say again that I had the best time I have ever had in my life. I actually cried when I left, because I had such a great time. Please treat the people who work there with respect; it's a third world country and they do the best they can. Americans sometimes aren't very fair with them. I was in line next to a family and they were yelling at the people at the front desk, and it just made me feel so bad. If you are a teenager, like me, I suggest participating in the games; it is the best way to make a few friends!

Overall I found the resort to be very clean and well maintained. The only area I found to be lacking in cleanliness was the buffet restarant at breakfast. The linens on the table were often stained and dirty and cutlery, coffee cups etc, were a bit difficult to come by.

This wasn't to the extent that I felt at all disgusted by it, or felt like I couldn't eat there....just an observation. Still enjoyed my meals immensely. Breakfast was by far the best meal of the day at the buffet. Wonderful fresh made to order omelettes (if you don't mind standing in a short line to get them!)

Overall the food was fine...nothing to write home about, but definitely edible and I could always find something to eat. When in doubt, there is ALWAYS bread and pasta, both always very good.

There are also a-la-carte restarants...the Italian was my favorite. I found eating at them took at least 1 1/2 hours of your time though as the service was often slow.
The location of Breezes is to die for.

Beautiful beach...the best I've ever seen and probably ever will see. Large, wide, clean, powdery white sand and beautiful blue water. Big waves for playing in too!
Although the resort is big, everything seems to be only a few steps away....laid out very nicely.

Staff was friendly but can't say that I really connected with any particular staff member like I have at other resorts.....I think this place is too big for that type of personal interaction.

Entertainment is what you make of it. Shows at night are typical of any all-inclusive. Some good, some bad but there's other stuff to do as well. Lots of sitting area by the lobby bar for just relaxing and chatting with friends. There is a disco which we found fun on the nights where we had our fair share of alcohol!

During the day, lots of games and activities....don't see how anyone could get bored here.

This resort is quite a way from the airport so be prepared for a hot, sticky and bumpy ride to the hotel, you'll notice on the way how deprived the islanders are.

The hotel itself was very clean throughout and checking in was efficient although a little slow.

Our room was basic but more than adequate, beds were comfy, plenty of hot water, TV, bar fridge, safe, plenty of hanging space and drawers, the room was cleaned every day and the maids went that little bit extra by ensuring clean towels daily and fresh flowers in the bathroom.
We had a brief storm and being on the top floor the rain ran down one inside wall creating a minor flood, not a disaster. Thank goodness they are on low voltage! The staff were very quick to deal with this and cleaned us up in no time at all.

Overall, the staff are brilliant, very friendly and do their very best to look after you. There is a lot of competition for the few jobs that are going on this island so the staff do not want to be complained about. Anyway, I found them all naturally friendly people and very patient and composed when unfairly chastised by drunken guests and some of the sober ones too.

The food was a lot better than I had expected with so many mouths to feed at the same time and full marks to the catering staff. Breakfast was a real pleasure, I could have eaten it all day long! Again, the restaurant staff were good and eager to please and smiling!
There are seven themed restaurants on site, my favourites being the Japanese and Italian but I will agree with previous comments about slow service and the food not being any more special than that in the general restaurant.

The entertainment was rather 1950's holiday camp style but was enjoyed by most people. There is plenty for the children to do during the day and early evening.

The beach was just like a postcard, excellent! The sea creates some great waves for mini surfing but has an extraordinarily strong return undercurrent which took me under more than once and I am a 16 stone fit male, so mums and dads beware, keep your eyes on the kids!

The pool is just off the beach and again we had no problem with the cleanliness of it and we all enjoyed the organised water sports. Its a great way to make friends with other guests most of whom seemed to be either Canadian or English. There is a pool bar, a poolside restaurant, BBQ, showers etc.

Beware of the shop, it's well stocked but expensive, the staff are surly and unhelpful and they love to confuse you with exchanging dollars to local currency, I can guess why!

We avoided the expensive tour operator organised trips and opted to go by taxi to the towns, quad biking, karting, dolphins and all the other attractions.
For just a few dollars the taxi drivers will escort you and are happy to show you around. They also are very good at getting rid of the annoying street sellers! We did not feel threatened at all by the locals. I think our tour operator tried to scare us. There seemed to be as many Police around as tourists.

I would return to this resort again, no question about it.

If you do go, when you leave, the maids would appreciate any clothes you may care to leave behind.
As I said earlier, this is an island of very poor people and I don't think we appreciate how well off we are compared to them.

This hotel is never 4 star +, We have stayed in lower rated accomadation in Dom. Rep that has been far better.

The Guest help desk was a joke and the chap who mainly worked it when we stayed should really work for as a script writer for Little Britain. The computer says no.

We had some special requests for a low floor and was initially allocated the 3rd floor infront of the theatre. Not great if we or the kids wanted an early night. The rooms were really "tired" and our so called ocean view "suite" for 4 people meant two singles pushed together and 1 large sofa.

The food was ok to good but I feel they made an extra effort as it was Xmas week. The saving grace of the hotel is its location and access to the beach. WARNING, the staff in the shop will try to rob you blind with over charging and wrong change as a matter of course.

Overall we had a good time and met some great British people. The hotel will try to do things for you but you do have to speak to management to get what you deserve.

Hi All,
I would like to write this review on my stay at SuperClubs Breezes, Punta Cana.

Firstly I would like to say I am a travel agent, I have visited many hotel 4 & 5* in the Caribbean (including sandals & beaches)I feel I can therefore give an honest comparison & I got married at this hotel. Seven adults travelled out.

I was dubious about visiting this hotel as there were such mixed reviews. The programme that was aired just weeks before I travelled really slated this hotel & had me wondering what to expect. Well I would like to say I think the programme was all set up to entertain the viewers - I mean you wouldn't watch the show if it was boring would you?

The hotel was so clean the staff never stopped cleaning up. The maids spent an average of one hour per day cleaning my room - it was exceptionally clean.

Food - A real big effort was made at mealtimes Fruit carvings, sweet trolley, kids section, salad, seafood, hot meats. You could not complain. A wide choice of food available including specialities such as Rabbit & Lobster!! At no extra cost.

We ate in every restaurant during our stay. The French & Italian were my particular favourites & the steak was fantastic here. The Japanese restaurant was very entertaining & we were served by 'Job' he was one of the staff & he was very informative!

The location of the hotel is at the end of Bavaro beach. The sea is beautiful, very little seaweed. We had great fun boogie boarding, banana boats etc - all free of charge from watersports centre.

Entertainment staff worked hard entertaining kids through the day, setting up pool games & competitions & each night there was a show at the amphitheatre.

We had a go in the casino - which was a total rip off & rules were very different from most casinos (Ive been to Vegas) & found this casino was the biggest rip off I've ever been in.

We went to Hurricanes night club a few times to, took part in Karaoke etc. Early on they seem to play all the Spanish music & after about 10pm they start to play English tunes.

Weather was not so good during our stay down to the fact that there were hurricanes either side of the Dom Rep during that time (not the hotels fault) but they did everything they could to make it enjoyable indoors when we had rain etc.

My wedding day - Me & my Mum were booked into the Spa to have our hair done at 1.30pm for my 4pm wedding. However the Spa had double booked & there were 15 people waiting to have their hair done at 1.30pm & only 3 hair dressers, this was my only complaint of the holiday. My hair was finished for 3pm My Mum was very rushed & only left the Spa at 3.45pm giving her no time to do make-up, help me into my dress or even get changed herself - I was fuming!!

Due to the bad weather my wedding was slightly delayed anyway giving them time to set up inside. This extra time allowed us to get ready. The groom had no idea what was going on & I arrived for my 4pm wedding at 5pm!!

I have to say it was decorated very nice with rose petals in heart shapes on the floor, palm trees making our arch, champagne, a Dominican trio playing - it really was nice.
The staff at the hotel I found to be very friendly. The hotel operates a No-tipping policy, the reason for this is because they don't want their staff to offer preferential treatment to any of their guests.

Sometimes bottles of Cava were opened & served at the bar, but it was made obvious it wasn't available to everyone, each time we asked we got the same reply "bottles empty" or "finished" or "gone". We eventually asked one of the bar girls to get us a bottle & tipped her $10 there was 7 of us & she gladly came back with a bottle & another & another & another. Going totally against their tipping policy but it goes to show.

I also left a $10 tip for the maids because they worked so hard.

All in all we had a fabulous time the drinks, restaurants, pool area, entertainment was great & anyone wanting to book this hotel I would recommend it.

This hotel exceeded our expectations and we are really glad we did not read the reviews before we went. The service was top class and all the staff were so friendly and attentive.

The food was of high quality in all the resturants. We loved the fact that it was literally on the beach front with a fantastic beach area with plenty of sun beds to go around. The pool and surrounding area was also fantastic, the kids loved every minute in it.

The daily entertainment programme suited the whole party with a variety of things on offer and again the staff were very friendly.

We are just looking to book next years holidays and are finding that we cannot locate a hotel that matches up to this one. A fantastic holiday in an brilliant hotel.

I thought the hotel overall was ok! However I would like to think more of a 4 star plus! I was not impressed with the pool at all, I felt it was not cleaned properly,It was the same story with the rooms, just not cleaned properly.

The entertainment was ok for the kids! The food was average most of the time, but appeared to taste the same whatever it was!

The staff were mostly really friendly. However if it had'nt been for the beautiful beach, I feel it would have been a nightmare! Also beware of the shop!
