First time to the West Coast in Cyprus. Coral Bay is Lovely. We had a great time at the Ascos, met quite a few pepole there many of whom had been coming to the Ascos for many years. Food was really good especially the evening meals. The drinks from the All Inclusive were good (Plenty of Keo drunk during the week!). The staff were friendly enough especially Andreas who worked on the pool bar. The swimming pool is out of this world really big. The only complaint about this hotel is that the rooms could do with decorating, apart from that we hope to go back to the Ascos next year. If you want a relaxing holiday I would advise you to visit this hotel.

We stayed at the Ascos Beach Hotel at the beginning of June 2005.

Our first impression of Hotel was good and we were pleasantly welcomed at reception although it was 3.30 a.m.! We were dealt with swiftly and on our way to our room within 5 minutes, the room was of a standard expected in a 4 *

Hotel with fridge,T.V. hairdryer, tea and coffee facilities and a large balcony.During our week's stay we found the room, dining areas, pool area, and all the hotel were kept clean and tidy.

The food was of a high standard with plenty of choice and variety - catering especially for the British palate! Yet at lunchtime you could have the option of a Greek salad! We found that the staff on the whole were friendly and eager to please and contrary to other comments we have seen about staff taking plates away too quickly, we found they were very discreet and careful to only ask if they could clear plates when it was obvious you'd finished and we felt this kept the restuarant uncluttered, clean and tidy.

The bar staff in the evenings were very quick and efficient and never kept you waiting for a drink and you could also help yourself to beer and wine on tap.

The entertainment team Julie,Robbie,Fay and Gemma worked extremely hard throughout the day and evening and were extremely talented, full of fun and energy !Their evening shows were very professional and all were talented singers.

The Hotel had a good sized pool and plenty of sunbeds, however, the beach in front of the hotel was only a strip of shingle, the nearest sandy beach being twenty minutes walk away. The hotel also had an Annexe buillding down by the beach which was reached by some steps and a steep pathway, maybe not everybody would like to stay here as it is some way from the hotel.

We found that people that had requested a sea view were sometimes allocated these rooms. We had a thoroughly enjoyable week at this hotel and will certainly return.

Just got back from holiday. The hotel is lovely, very quiet and no trouble getting in the pool or with the sunbeds.

Food was excellent hence my expanding waistline. The hotel staff were helpful on the whole. The first night we were on the third floor and had to ask to be moved as the noise from the air conditioning generator was horrendous. Once moved very quiet room and good size with two beds, table two chairs, television fridge and balcony. Bathroom very nice and clean. The only thing that let this holiday down was the entertainment.

There was a daytime quiz, killer pool, and boules, and one game of bingo. Then the two entertainment staff had to do what they could. The only night we had proper entertainment was Thursday this was a Cyprus night, similar to a Greek night.
For a four star hotel I would expect a mix of professional acts, unfortunately the two young lads had to do the best they could. There were two girls working with them at the beginning of the week, but they walked out, so the boys had to get on with it, which I thought was very unfair on them. I hope they improve the entertainment in this hotel and if so would visit again.

4 Star Hotel? How I laughed! Try 2! The decor was shabby, the gardens unkept, the pool filthy (or though it was thoroughly cleaned the day after we arrived and then much better), the sunbeds ancient and falling apart, dangerous umbrella holders sticking up around the pool which were a safety hazard, staff miserable and complained about their pay, lifts not working on a regular basis, nightly entertainment appauling...it was cringe-making, food average, changed room twice due to a poor standard and the beds were rock hard, towels etc were changed once in a week, restaurant did not enforce a dress code in the restaurant in the evenings and had to endure vest tops, shorts and tattoos (and that was just the women!!)

Some other guest there had been coming to the hotel for years but had not been back for a while. They were horrified with how much the standard had gone down and would not be returning.

If you get a really cheap deal and expect 2 star standards then you will be happy with your holiday, but anything more then forget it.

Just got back from a week all inclusive at the Ascos. Had a great time. When me and my friend first arrived at the hotel, being only 18 we were a little worried as the majority of the guests were much older than us, but as we found out straight away that everyone was really friendly! Met lots of people. In my opinion the entertainment was good! quiz nights, caberet, sing along, etc!people complained while we were there that it was too noisy, immature, etc, but I just thought it was great fun. The team were brill (Mark, Laura and Andy)They work really hard. The pool was nice and big, but was absolutly freezing! Weather was better than expected. mostly overcast, but still warm, we had no rain at all. Food was good, there was always plenty to choose from and lots of it. Rooms are big. We had 2 balconys!Could only get BBC world on the t.v,but who goes on holiday to watch t.v?!! Gym and sauna was nice. The only downside was that there were a lot of stray cats about, but would still go back tomorrow if I could!!

We went all inclusive at the hotel, we picked this hotel because even tho im only 19 i didnt want loads of kids around.
I wanted a peaceful holiday even though we went in the season when kids are allowed in it was still quiet only one little girl was there and she was well behaved you didnt no she was there.
There were a few people who were in they 20s who we got on with really well with and still do. we went clubbing and drinking together.

The first night the food was horrible so we went up the road when we found two lovely restaurants. But in the middle of the week we went in the restaurant in the hotel again and the food was much better.

Every morning the maid cleaned our room and changed our towels a few times in the week she was very good the hotel was clean and tidy . The locations of the hotel was great only a ten minute walk you was in the local town and it was about a 20 minute walk to the lovely coral beech .

Some of the staff at the reception were unhelpful and rude but one lady at the reception was more that helpful she called us taxi's and all so told us a good restaurant for us and she even booked us a table and got us a discount has her friend works there.
The entertainers were from airtours and they were great especialy ANDY he was so funny he kept picking on me to come on the stage to dance to silly songs and do little games with him and everyday we had different things to do we had darts knockout, kill pool, bingo, and more.

Also our travel reps offered days out we went on the sarfari which was great we went with other people from different hotels and the tour guide was great and funny we went everywhere it was a bit scary as we went up the mountains as it was so high and the road were so small it looked like we was going to go down them.i would visit the hotel again as i found it great and i didnt want to come home.

We stayed in the annex which was down a slope towards the sea, the rooms were lovely and the view from the balcony was beautiful. The pool was big and we had no trouble getting sunbeds considering it was August and the place was full. Just down the road there is a little strip with bars and resturants which wasn't bad, about a five to ten minute walk. Entertainment was on the whole not bad but sometimes could be a bit childish, all depends how drunk you are, and some of the staff could be miserable but it could just be thier way. Food was good we had no complaints at all in the week that we were there. So on the whole I would say this hotel is worth a visit.

We had a wonderful time at this hotel, I was very surprised to find some quite bad reviews on this site!

We had a corner room right at the end of the hotel so it was twice as big as the room next door, just lucky I guess! It was very clean and tidy although the food welcome pack we received was not great!

The entertainment was good on the whole, the reps work so hard at what they do! The staff were ok, the lady in the gift shop was great!

The only small gripe I would have is that the food was very repetitive, nice though! If I wasn't the kind of person that wants to see different countries etc, I would definitley go back.

We stayed in The Ascos Coral Beach in August for our honeymoon. I have to say it was fantastic. We wanted a nice peaceful holiday and that is exactly what we got. The rooms were fantasic, being large and airy and we had a fantasic view by the sea! The pool was really big and there was enough entertainment during the day to keep you going. The only down side was that we had to get up at 7am to get a sun bed with a parasol because there wasn't enough for everyone. The food was nice, plenty to choose from especially the BBQ on a Friday night. This is one hotel that I will definatly be returning too.

We had a fab holiday here - the pool and sun lounge area was fantastic. "No kids" policy was great as pool area was quiet and relaxing.
Food was lovely - enjoyed every meal. Could even have afternoon tea at 3pm!
Greek night was also good - outdoor barbeque and traditional dancing.
Bingo and evening entertainment v. good. Sometimes difficult to get drinks as only one or two serving.
Would definitely recommend this hotel and would return again.
