Location
Thr food was lovely, and the location was a little out of the way, the local bus service is highly recommended.
The staff were helpful, and very eager to take your plate away when finished eating, this became slighlty annoying by the end.
The only bad thing I can say about the hotel was the entertainment, not very 4 star.

Our room was clean but old, cleaners did their best with regular linen and towel changes.
The fridge came in very handy as did the air conditioning - temperatures rocketed into the high 30's.
The food was fantastic - the one bad point being the staff made you feel as if you needed to gulp it down as the moment the plate was empty it was whisked away, apart from that it was fine.
No kids in the dining room meant the cakes etc were always neat, the trifle didn't look as if a bomb had hit it and the queues for food were non existant. Top class.
Drinks were ok - nothing amazing, just the usual weak local stuff.
Entertainment - Oh dear...!
The unfriendly staff didn't spoil my holiday - to be quite honest I ignored them.
The sun bathing area was top class, the gardens , pool and surrounding area are a sun worshippers paradise. at no point did I struggle for a sunbed or parasol, there were at least 40 spare every day. A quiet corner could always be found. A massive bonus was the adult only theme ... peace and tranquility at all times.
No need to take towels for sunbathing - the maids gave us two very large orange towels each.

The lobby area on arrival was clean, but as soon as we took the lift to our floor (1st)and alighted, we were greeted by badly stained, dirty carpets. We arrived at our room, to find that it smelled strongly of smoke, the floor was filthy, and the patio doors had not been cleaned.
The food was of a reasonable standard but very repetitive, not a great choice.
The outside pool area was clean and in good order, the pool clean throughout our stay of 14 days.
The staff, in our and others opinions were miserable, had no time for their customers, and in some instances were downright ignorant and abrasive, totally different to Cyprots that we've met before.
The entertainment team, consisting of two girls did their best, but unfortunately as a 4 star hotel, it should have been better. If you like bingo, you'd love the entertainment, as it was on every night.
If you didn't want to drink the local brews and opted for a branded name, the prices were extortionate.
All in all, we had a pleasant stay, but we had to be satisfied with, in our opinion a below standard hotel.
The hotel also boasts a no children below the age of 16, whilst we were there, we saw a number of young children, both in the pool and in the restaurants. They may well of been guests, but the fact that there were children in and around the hotel negates the hotels claims of adults only.

Although there was no sandy beach, water sports were available down heart attack hill, this being were the annex is situated (don't stay there if poss, unless you are a keep fit fanatic). The hotel staff were a little miserable to say the least, however it soon came to light why!!! There were a couple of Slovakian(?) drinks waiters who were really friendly and got on with the guests really well. Unfortunately two days before we were due to leave they were sacked for talking to the guests. So we are convinced that the locals are miserable due to not wanting to put their jobs on the line.
The entertainment - what can we say!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Give Grace and Jess their due, they did their best under the circumstances - but unfortunately the highlight was Bingo, or other guests performances.
We wouldn't visit this hotel again as we have now been twice and to be honest would expect a little more in the way of entertainment for a 4 star hotel.

However if you are lucky enough to stay in "Lawson Towers" room 369 you get a megga sized room with an over sized balcony - our fortunate friends were lucky
enough to get this room (the best in the hotel).
Lastly we would like to say how nice Andreas the pool barman was - a definate gentleman who knows his job inside out.
Lastly but not least the highlight of our stay - no kids - absolutely wonderful!!!!!!

The entertainment was rubbish! The room was adequate but needed tidying up.
The best bit was no kids and the weather was superb.
Also, the village was 10 minutes walk away and we found 2 really good restaurants and ate at them on the nights that the Dinner menu did not appeal.

The staff at the restaurant were pleasant, but the bar staff were not they were miserable as if they didnt want to be there. But thought the older gentlemen at the pool bar during the day was very polite.
Its great that no children were allowed at this hotel certain time of the year which made it more enjoyable.
The evening entertainment was very bad although we enjoyed the bingo, (even though we are in our 30's) that should be improved for the rating of the hotel!!
Our rooms were ok, nothing exciting but comfortable and loved the air con!! Maids not very generous with the coffee, and milk when they cleaned room, only kept leaving loads of sugar and no milk and maybe the odd sachet of coffee! Thank goodness our friends didnt drink coffee we pinched theirs.
The reception staff were very polite and friendly, but we really enjoyed our stay would go again!!

Entertainment staff were very friendly and entertainment was great during the day, but although they did their best to entertain us in the evening the Hotel should have employed more suitable entertainment for a 4* hotel. The highlight of the evenings was Bingo!
Staff were very efficient and apart from the reception staff, Andreas on the pool bar and one or two others, they had miserable faces and looked thoroughly fed up and found it difficult to raise a smile. They failed to adhere to the universal language ie: "a smile".
FOOD WAS EXCELLENT - so much choice and superb quality.
