Limassol is not a particularly prepossessing area, being the Industrial centre of the area. However, with a car or coach trips, there are some lovely places to visit and see.
If possible, fly to Egypt for a day trip. This is a wonderful day out and packs almost a week's holiday into 15 hours!!

We love Cyprus and go there regularly. We tried Limassol as a change from Protaras. Unfortunately Limassol did not match up. A combination of the extremely busy road, restaurant touts and the poor beaches were not up to the satndards we enjoyed on the eastern coast of Cyprus.

Excellent choice of bars shops and restaurants within a few minutes level walking
as always the only drawback is the rather busy main road

The pool as very clean and water crystal clear. The entertainment was good with english and cypriot venues. The nearby beach has dark sand which wasn't that good but a bus takes you to Governor's beach with white sand and clear water. The resort was clean and i never saw any rubbish littering the pavements. The waterpark is nearby which a bus takes you to and you can get tickets from McDonalds to get discounts there. I reccomend going to the waterpark for a day out.

Take care guy's don't let the girls go shopping alone with your credit card the jewellery shops are astounding
The reastaurants are all very much alike from a quality and price point of view along with the bars but you always feel safe what ever time of day or night

Limassol has become rather seedy with lots of topless bars and stripclubs.
Beaches are dark sand and not very clean.
Shopping good.

My family have been to Limissol 4 times and we like this resort.
Good water sports, has 2 aqua parks (wet and wild we liked)1 English cinema, 1 new 10 pin bowling centre and lots of great resturants, shops and bars.
Beach is spread out and not too busy.
They also drive on the right so car hire is a must.
Roads are good with Lots of places to visit.
We call cyprus a mini England with lots of sun.

I really liked the resort where I stayed. I only saw the hotel entertainment once and I didn't think much of it so I tried out the bars and the clubs. They definitely made up for the disappointment.
I tried out all of the clubs, Triangle which was 60's, 70's and 80's music, Whispers Cub, Equinox bar/club and Basement. Basement was the best club; it was always packed and played really good clubbing music. I went there practically every night.
There was also an alley full of bars which was packed on Friday and Saturday nights. They had a lot of offers on cocktails so the drinks weren't that expensive. I loved the vibe; there were lots of people of all ages so I made a lot of friends throughout my stay there.
I also went to the water park (Wet'n'Wild), it was really good, but I preferred the other water park (Fasouri). It was more expensive and we had to get the bus there, but it was worth it.
I loved the resort and I would definitely want to go back.
