The phone in the room did not work and the light in our lobby was broken. I fumbled in the dark and pressed the fire alarm point which incidently did not set off the fire alarm I was told this was normal!!
Watch out for ants in the room, there everywhere although, smaller than there British cousins.
It did improve from there on in, the food was quite good and we did receive a complementary bottle of wine for our troubles from the Head Waiter who was a top man.
The location is nice, right on the beach.
Most of the staff are friendly.
We gave most of the enterainmaint a miss, a bit naff.

Hotel was pretty clean but a bit tired considering how new it is.
Food was the only real high point, the staff restaurant side are superb the rest should take a look at themslves especially the miserable bar staff, who seemed put out to serve you and the lager was flat almost every day.
The Elvis night was class, the rest was ok.
Overall the holiday was over priced.

The food was good, if not always as hot as we would have liked, but we could always find someting nice, and look out for the puds... apple pie, bread and butter pudding !!
The Hotel is in a quiet area 15mins or so out of Pathos, but we knew that when we booked so no worries there. A short inexpensive bus ride easily gets you around.
The Hotel staff were lovely. They could not do any more for you. They smiled and made the Holiday very relaxed.
So, to the entertainment. Billy and Helen were just brilliant !! Best I have ever encountered. The days and evenings were full of laughter and the week seemed like one long party. Thankyou both. Anyone going to the Elini in the next 6 month are in for a real treat.
Finally, our Holiday was made very special by the really great bunch of other holiday makers we met. Everyone got on so well. Those from Scotland, those from the Manchester flight (ok, and those from tut Barnsley!! ) and those from the west country.
(You know who you are) Thanks from me and Wendy (Jean-Claude and mingeur) for making this a great holiday .

If you have kids you will love this place if you don't, and you don't enjoy doing silly things then this hotel is not for you.
Apartments very clean, didn't get any sun on our balcony but had a great sea view which was amazing.
Surrounding gardens quite pretty, and well maintained.
The food was good, plenty choice although after the first week I started to get sick of it, but you do abroad. The kids menu wasn't as good chips with everything so you have to give them off the adult buffet to give them a good variety. Also the alcohol not great as you can't get drunk on it! If you wanted any decent lager or spirits you had to pay. The wine wasn't bad though.
Location was fine I thought. If your lazy you won't like it but the bus is hardly far away which takes you straight down to the harbour. The re is also a range of supermarkets and shops surrounding the hotel.
Most of the staff were miserable looking with the exception of about 2.
Kids entertainment excellent and the little ones love the mini disco time. Kids clubs reps also great and work flat out.
We enjoyed our stay here and it was much better than we expected from reading reviews, but wouldn't go back purely because we don't return anywhere as we like to visit different places.

Cleanliness..... Our room was cleaned out most days and the cutlery in the room was spotless. Around the pool was fine as there were plenty of bins for people to put there rubbish in. Ash trays were changed on a regular basis at the bar and no sooner you had finished your drink or meal your glass or plate was collected.
Food....... Although I heard one or two people complaining about the food I thought it was excellent. Every night had a theme eg. Bar-b-que night, chiness night, calvery night, Cypruss night the list goes on. There was always plenty to select from and our son was inpressed with the kids selection, as he offen has alittle from there and a little from the adults buffet. The snack bar was great too a good selection of meals to choose from Burgers, Hot Dogs, Omellet, Jacket Potatoes Plus others. Sometimes the drinks where a little inconsistant in strenght and with the cocktails taste, but on the whole we didnt mind, after all being all inclusive if you really didnt like it you just go and get another one.
Location ...... Abit out of resort but we already knew that on booking. There is a shop and afew bars about 5 minutes walk, but to go any where you need the bus or the car, the bus is 70c for adults and 40c for children and it will take you to Coral bay, Paphos, Tomb of the kings, and the Market basically anywhere along the main drag. But to see the island at its best you need to hire a car.
Hotel Staff..... most of them were really nice, and the first choice kids reps where a god send.
Entertainment....... If I was to complain about anything this is probably it. The entertainment was not great, maybe 1 or 2 shows that were worth watching but on the whole pretty boring stuff. Although the kids loved the kiddy disco and they seemed to like the entertainment as they all put there chairs at the front every night and most times didnt move until the show was over. I suppose you cant expect broadway every night.
On the whole I think this is a great hotel, it had stunning views over the Med, a lovely atmospher and I would certainly go again in a few years time. A big thumbs up for the Eleini. It was a great hol.

We were all inclusive and could not fault the food in the main restaraunt, a great choice of dishes for all the meals, something for everyone.
The food in the pool bar was not of the same standard. We had a few of our lunches there but were not impressed. The food was quite greasy and the chips were so overheated they had dried up to nothing.
The hotel was very clean could not fault this at all although the public areas were cleaner than the rooms. A maid came in nearly every day but it only got the basics.
We knew that the location was not perfect before we went but it was on a bus route although they were so busy that quite a lot of the time you had to stand.
The staff were all really friendly and helpful with the exception of the Paris Bar staff, who if you were lucky might give you a grunt.I don't think they knew what a smile was!! Hats off to Craig and Hannah for trying to get people involved in both day and night activities. They really did try. The kids club girls Silly Steph, Crazy Charelle and Groovy Gemma were also great with the kids. Our daughter liked going to the club and doing the crazy dances at the mini disco in the evenings.
The only negative thing we have to say is that there was always a smell of drains/sewage round the pool area. All in all we had a really great holiday, met loads of people, kids were never short of friends or things to do.
Although we have put no to visiting this hotel again it is by no means a reflection of the hotel it is purely the fact that we like to be situated in a town where there is a bit more variety on what to do each day.

Yes the place is a bit out of the way but it's always baking hot and if you love the pool and sea views it's the right place. George who runs the poolside bar told my 6 year old he loved her and had the crack and a good laugh with everyone.
Entertainment is a bit basic (sorry Craig/Hanna no offence) at night but overall the food is good. Drink is good more or less unlimited.
Staff are fantastic always chirpy and make you feel welcome. Only thing I didn't like was the do's and don'ts signs everywhere saying if your all inclusive and offer someone a drink you are obliged to pay for it at regular bar prices, that's life nothings that perfect!
Definitely return here.
