This hotel is fantastic! I went for 2 weeks with my husband and children, aged 7 & 5.
On arrival the check in was speedy and because we had arrived in the evening and missed dinner, the hotel had provided sandwiches, fruit and drinks in our room.
The rooms are bright and plenty big enough for 4. I was expecting bunk beds for the kids but the room had a king size bed and two single beds. There was plenty of wardrobe space and the maids cleaned the rooms 6 days a week.
The quality of the food and drink was the best I have seen for an all inclusive hotel. The cocktails and Baileys were particularly welcome! The restaurant had plenty of choice with themed nights, such as Chinese, Indian, the good old roast beef and Yorkshire Pudding. These were in addition to the usual good selection of food. The children had their own buffet with limited choices. The snack bar by the pool had a lovely selection of salads and about five different main courses each day.
The Atrium bar, in the reception, is waiter service, the staff are friendly and efficient. Most of them are from Eastern Europe. The pool bar is self service for soft drinks, beer, tea and coffee. If you wanted anything stronger you had to get it from the barman.
The pool was kept clean generally although it was a bit on the cloudy side one day. There are plenty sunbeds for everyone.
The animation staff do a great job organising activities morning, afternoon and evening.
The kids clubs were popular but I didn

Hotel area and room was clean. Pool was always clean. Hotel reception area is very well presented.
Food was plentiful and great, what a choice! I don't think there is an hour anywhere that food isn't being served! The staff in the main restaurant were always polite and at your service.
Nightly entertainment was always available. The staff put on shows of an evening. Not the best I've seen but the kids all seemed to love it! Before the nightly show there is bingo, then after the disco is continued until 12.
During the day there is a wide variety of activities available, however you weren't nagged by staff to get involved. You can be as active as you like!
All in all we had a great time at this hotel and sure enough we have booked to go again this year with 20+ of our friends to celebrate our wedding. The hotel manager there has been great organising loads for us as we are booking the wedding ourselves.
Would, and have, recommended this hotel to any family looking for a hotel were they can all have a good time.

Hotel is situated right opposite a fantastic waterpark which is well worth a visit also 10 minutes walk down the road is a crazy golf course owned by an English family. This is fantastic to visit at night and as it is set over water and the lights look brilliant

The swimming pool is large and very clean with plenty of sunloungers and loads of daytime activities going on. the only complaint i have is the pool area is like an ice rink SO BEWARE.
The rooms are nice not massive but big enough, they have everything you need and are kept spotless. i didnt want to pay the extra for a sea view room, but wanted a pool view and was given this no problem and no charge(emailed before we went)it was on the ground floor but did tend to have a lot of cats/kittens visiting our balcony/patio area.
The restaurant is nice you can eat inside or outside with lovely views over the med. The food is nice, always something for everyone and a large selection for the kids with their own buffet, also a good selection of desserts with a choice of hot or cold, and a fab cheese board. For the evening you can either go downstairs to the nightclub (chariots)where the animation team put on various shows and play bingo, disco etc, or you can stay upstairs in the foyer area where there are comfy chairs inside and a seating area outside, here you get waiter service, so again no waiting at the bar, just sit down and someone will take your order FAB.
You can get a good selection of drinks on the AI , draught or bottled keo or carlsberg.
All the staff were very friendly and polite, infact everyone i met in cyprus in lovely.
The hotel is a fair way from paphos but the bus service is great and will take you straight into paphos in about 5 minutes, or their is always a taxi in the hotel carpark.
The hotel beach is okay if you dont like sand! but if you are taking kiddies im sure you could find a bit for them to dig in.
There is a grassy area in front of the beach with plenty of loungers for everyone. Also a beach hut with plenty of watersports available. Cnoes and pedaloes are free and a jet ski is 20cyp for 20mins, we hired one about 1.00 and saw a turtle in the bay.
For kids this place is smashing and if your not going with kids there are plenty of places to escape them.in general a superb hotel with something for everyone.

The hotel location is a bit far out from Paphos itself but there is a supermarket and bar about ten minutes walk away.
If you're looking for great hotel entertainment - try elsewhere! Apart from that and the incredibly slow bar service we had a great time and would go back - great value for money.

This is my third all inclusive hotel that I have stayed at in Cyprus and so far it is the best.
The bed rooms are a bit on the small side but the have been recently refurbished to a good standard, we hardly spent much time in the bedroom. The hotel is very spacious especialy the atrium.
The food was very good with plenty of choice and the service at the bar was good and the waitresses service is excellent.
The pool area goes right on to the beach.
We had a very good holiday and one day we may go back.

Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly reception staff and a porter, who took the luggage to our room. Whilst the hotel registration was in process a waiter offered us all drinks, which was a really nice touch as we had not asked for them! The reception/foyer area are spacious, cool and clean, with seating provided for many guests.
I was aware that some of the rooms have recently been refurbished and had arranged for one of these to be allocated to us before our arrival. We were not disappointed! We booked a sea view room which I strongly recommend as the garden and pool area make a superb view against a backdrop of azure sea. The room itself was a little on the small side for two adults and a child, as was the balcony. However it was clean (maids visited every day), air conditioned and had plenty of lighting and electrical points. The bathroom too was very clean but getting the correct mix of hot and cold water for a shower was something of an art!
All meals at the Phaethon were nothing short of magnificent. The diversity of food was so great that I could not list them here. Rest assured though, even of you do not like international cuisine, there are enough English dishes to choose from (fry-ups for breakfast, roast beef and pork for evening meals). Children have their own selection of food to choose from, which included all the stuff kids love, such as burgers, chips, pizza, baked beans etc. A really nice touch for them was that this area was elevated, allowing them to reach their food easily. Lunch times were catered for at the poolside restaurant, which opened at 10 am each morning and did not close until 5.30pm. Again, the food here was superb and a shady seating area provided a welcome respite from the afternoon heat.
The pool was pretty large with a separate section for toddlers. The deepest part was around two meters, so you need to keep an eye on the young non-swimmers. It was kept clean by attentive staff who appeared early most mornings to check chlorine levels and remove any debris from it. What I really liked was the freedom children had in terms of using snorkels, dinghy
