The Vangelis Apartments was everything I expected and more.

The room was cleaned daily to a good standard and nothing was too much trouble.

Their was a food and drink bar near the pool. The food was really nice although the dinks were a little expensive.

The location of the hotel was perfect! It is situated up a side road off of the main protaros strip. So we were very near to the restaurants and shops. Its also only a 4 minute walk to Fig Tree Bay.

The hotel staff were friendly and the man on reception would always have a joke with us!

We went out of the hotel every night so didnt really get to see much of the entertainment but their were alweays some sort of entertainment happening when leaving the hotel on the evening.

Their were also lots of entertainment for the kids in the day such as tennis, water polo and football etc.

Hotel was very clean maids come every day, must say
they were very friendly too.

Food was lovely we had all our meals here as they were that good.

Location was very good handy for beach and every where else.

We found the staff in all areas of the hotel very helpful and friendly.

Entertainment was ok my daughter enjoyed everyone that was on. Yes I would definately return to this hotel.

Arrived and were allocated the dreaded B block. This block is across a road from main hotel entrance. In our opinion this should never be allocated to people with children because of side road up to hotel main entrance is dangerous because of traffic going up and down.

It should have a traffic barrier like other hotels. Complained to manager got no where with her. Contacted rep Lee Evans got no where with her unless you get your wallet out then she will move you.

Drinks expensive i.e. half pump coke

We stayed at the Vangelis as a large group for sis in laws wedding ( 23 of us all together ).

We were in block A and had rooms all next door to each other.

The apt its self was OK and although nothing to big to complain about these do need an update ( i find it hard to believe they are only 5 yrs old ).

The bathroom is in the most need for update and extra storage would be great. Our apt was big enough for four of us but the balcony was small and only had a small table and two chairs ? Not good for four people.

The pool area was large but too many beds which dont leave much space in between. There are no tables around the pool or beside the sun loungers so all you bags books etc have to go on the ground and will get wet.

Again this isn't a complaint just worth a mention as we have always had small tables around the pool for bags drinks etc etc.

The entertainment is worthy of 3 / 10 although after 3 bottles of Othello I have to confess to enjoying it lol.
Bar staff are OK but please check your change as i know I'm not the only guest to be given change from a ten when I paid with a twenty.

Indoor pool OK and very small play area for young children.

Lifts can be dodgy as the buttons were constantly getting stuck.

Overall I would give this 7 out of 10 and would advise if poss to stay at the Rising Star which is far nicer ( well it was 2 yrs ago ).

You can book Self catering as we did and then if you want to eat at the hotel.

Breakfast was buffet style and is 3 pounds for adults and children half price, Evening meal is 7 pounds for adults and again half price for children. We had brecki twice at the hotel and it was OK although not great.

The evening buffet looked nice and other members of our group stayed for the evening meal a couple of times and enjoyed it.

Beach OK but could be cleaner. Beds were a bargain at one pound 25 per day.

Water park was forty Cypriot pound for the four of us and although 21 of us went as a group no further discount was given although we had been told we would get group discount !

We stayed for Sept 23rd for 2wks and weather was overall very good although slight rain twice and a couple of very windy days.

Please don't let any of this put you off the resort is fab for families and the hotel was OK just we have stayed in better x

Myself and my family stayed at the Vangellis as myself and my partner were due to get married on the 4th of October and the Vangellis hotel was at a great location on the main street.

As a large group we all stayed all inclusive was great for the kids and especially the night.

Found the hotel to be spotlessly clean and the cleaning staff are great. All staff are great big thanks for making the reception brilliant.

The entertainment staff Claire and Chris are great good laugh you just got to join in its such a laugh.

Would definitely visit hotel again.

The Vangelis is a fab place to stay in Protoras. Centrally located in the main strip of Protoras and 5 min walk from Fig Tree Bay.

We were in the dreaded 'B' block but it was not a problem as we had a sea view and it was really quiet we did not hear any noise from the main street, however if you were at the back of the B block you might not be happy with the view. The apartments were cleaned very day and you would always see a cleaner about.

The reception staff are lovely, The manager is really nice and most of the bar staff were fine. The 2 entertainers Chris and Claire are great at keeping the kids and the adults entertained all day.

The food is fantastic. We had some great lunches while here and even though we did not eat much at the apartments at night the food we did have was very nice.

You def need the air conditioning which is only 10cyp deposit.

Overall we loved the Vangelis and is perfect for families. We liked it so much we are going to book here for next year.

We had a lovely holiday however this accommodation is not ideal for couples, it is great for families and there are lots of children.

The rooms were spacious and maids were great, cleaned thoroughly daily and had plenty of clean towels left.

Entertainment staff did try to keep everyone happy and there seemed to be plenty going on! One problem we found was that everybody reserved sun beds, there were signs saying that the towels would be removed but this never happened! We decided to go the beach for a few days because of this!

It was the best holiday we have ever had. We arrived early hours of the morning and there was a lovely man on reception and he had a joke with us every time we saw him. When we went to our room, we were absolutely amazed by the size of it. It was massive. It has#d everything you could think of in it too. The maid kept it very clean and even though we were getting up quite late she would always come back after we were out to clean it and make the beds.

We were Self Catering but we ate there at lunch time and won 2 breakfasts and 1 dinner on bingo! We were very lucky! All the food was great. We found ourselves eating even though we weren't hungry!

The location couldn't have been any better, We actually went for the cheapest hotel out of 2 and i think we definately made the right choice. It was fantastic. The beach was opposite and the bars were outside and we had a pool view from ur room. There were 4 lots of people that went there who had been to the Vangelis 5 years in a row!


Hotel staff were lovely. The bar men loved the ladies but they couldn't have been more helpful and they made a really special effort with our drinks and made them look pretty.

Entertainment was absolutely fantastic. We spent everynight there, we just couldn't resist. The4 games they played were just great and got everyone involved. During the day you would have all the sports which my boyfriend loved especially when he 7 balled Chris(entertainer) in the pull match! We felt like we had known the entertainers all our life as they made us feel so welcome. They made the whole place a lively environment for kids and adults but they were not in your face. If you didn't want to join in they didn't make you but if you did the option was there.

It was such a great holiday we have recommened it to all our friends.

We have just returned from the Vangelis. The apartment was a good size and had plenty of wardrobe space for our family 2 adults , 1 child. The air con was brill you definitely need it. The plates and cutlery were spotless. They have a kettle, toaster and mini oven.

We were in block B right on the strip, at first we thought it would be too noisy but have to say we were not bothered by the noise, once the balcony door was closed it was fine. We had a lovely sea view. The maids were excellent and were in every day apart from Sunday. Clean sheets and towels every other day.

The reception staff were always friendly but the older guy in the bar was a bit grumpy.

We never stayed in for meals or entertainment but what we did see wasn't too good but they were trying their best. We always managed to get a sunbed and there is quite a strong breeze round the pool in the afternoon (lovely).

Overall we found the Vangelis of a good standard with a brilliant location.

This hotel is superb,nice and clean,staff are great,we were right near the pool the kids loved it.Food was great,evening entertainment was superb !!
