We were originaly booked in for half board but upgraded to all inclusive as we thought it to be good value for money.
We found the hotel very clean I would like to say that the hotel shows signs of being a bit'tired' making good cleaning results difficult.
We found the food of a good quality with a fairly varied menu, yes there was chips at every meal(if you wanted them)but I've not been to an all inclusive hotel in Spain, Greece thats any different.
5 star is'nt enough for the staff they would go out of their way to do anything for you. "Joey"at the poolside bar worked especialy hard but always had time for a chat,a fantasic ambassador for the hotel.
The 2 entertainment lads are as good as any we've come across anywhere, working very hard to keep the place alive.
A tip is, use the taxis outside the hotel, they are cheap, and very reliable not like the'flying coffins'out on the streets.
We certainly plan to go back.
2 weeks next time!!!!!!

The food was of a high standard the only off putting thing being the odd fly around the bread and pastry counter, watch out for the sparrows sneaking in the dining room at breakfast.
The rooms are tired & dated but clean enough don't expect to hold a party on the balcony only enough room for 2 small people. The staff where always helpful and must work 20 hours a day, alex, oscar and DJ the entertainment staff especially must be mentioned.
The pool was very clean, cleaned every day and sampled but it was flipping freezing it should be warmer in the summer.
We used the hotel taxis and found them good value arrange to be picked up by them and they'll be there and pay on return.
We used a beach about 10/15 mins walk away you pay for the sunbeds there

I was certainly glad that we did not upgrade, the hotel was great, the staff were very helpful and informative, the pool clean, the food was fresh and although we only had breakfasts we found there was a good variety.
Also the hotel had its own taxi system into town or wherever, and the prices seemed to be fixed at a good rate. The other guests we spoke to in the evenings (most all inclusive) all seemed to have good words about the place. In all the the bad reviews seemed to be totaly unfounded especially as the hotel advertises itself as a 3+star and not a 5+star.(what do these people expect?).
All of us who stayed agreed we would return.

The staff were great and very funny had us doing silly things in the pool!!
I would go in a couple of years. All good, had a brilliant time. the pool was clean and i didn't smell any horrid smells. other comments before i went really concerned me. but i found that these were totally unfounded when i went. It's basic but for a relaxing week and hot sun i couldn't have asked for more.

The food is over priced and I did not find much of it edible.
Trust me its worth paying a bit extra to stay somewhere else!
Avoid booking with MEDHOTELS and OnTheBeach!

Food was just OK seemed same morning noon and night chips with everything even at breakfast! Charges incurred on lots of drinks even though all inclusive.
Also rule about not being able to bring bottles of water or cola etc into hotel from outside ridiculous, we had it confiscated on entering hotel!
Bar staff very friendly especially Joe, reception staff moody and not greeting at all!

We were initially booked into room 166 which turned out to be basic but very noisy due to the proximity to to the pool which played euro-noise (music?) well into the early hours of the morning. I requested an immediate move and was reallocated room 253 which is at the rear of the complex.
The morning arrived and I threw open the curtains to be greeted by the Sinai mountains, desert and a very active building site. The balconies of all of the rooms on the same aspect were all unusable due to the builders leering in through the French windows. At times (especially when concrete was being delivered or pumped) was unbearable so we had no other alternative but to leave the room for a bit of peace and quiet. This incidentally was directly following the explosion of 4 car bombs, so most of the local populace were in a very sombre mood.
The pool was so murky that I really didn't want our young son to enter it, but kids being what they are, he was soon in and swimming. He managed to lose a flipper in the pool and this was lost for about 2 days until someone accidentally stood on it. The flipper is HiVis green and could not be seen in 1.5m of water. I have taken a sample to be analysed and will publish the findings to Thomson's and Tsokkos Hotels.
Not very happy at all with the health and safety arrangements which apparently were inspected by Thomson's. I raised several of my concerns with the rep and was told that all was fine, (I may add at this point that I am employed by a global facilities management company as a full time health and safety professional dealing with construction and buildings).
The day after the bombs had gone off, the rep suddenly left with no warning and flew back to the UK. We had no rep for 2 days until a deputy had been brought in from Luxor.
Most of the people I spoke with were desperately unhappy with the food. All very bland, overcooked, we weren't actually sure of what some of the food was! Even the fresh fruit was suspect. We were on a bed and breakfast basis, and I felt fortunate that we had not booked fully inclusive. The only food I had at breakfast were eggs. Mainly because you have to be pretty incompetent to mess up an egg. The cereals were all served with long life UHT milk that had stood in room temperature for a few hours and had taken the ambient heat in the room. I was advised by my lad that it was disgusting and I had to concur.
Being frequent travellers, we were not expecting the Hilton. Thomson had awarded the hotel 2 T (2 stars) and the locals had awarded it 3. I have stayed in basic 2 star accommodation before but it was always up to a standard that would be acceptable to Western European tourists.
The price of the food was also questionable especially when we discovered that we could all dine very well outside the hotel for under

The rooms although basic had everything you needed, fridge and air con great. The beds are also really comfortable. Rooms looked after very well.Needed more pillows, asked at the front desk delivered very quickly. Ate at the pool bar and had great food at resonable prices, the greek salad was super.
Now for the down side - the entertainment - music from 10 in the morning to midnight. Bingo, Karoke etc. Not our cup of tea at all, so did not use the pool at all. Although on the possitive the animation team were very nice but how loud.
This would be the only reason we would not use this hotel again

Breakfast was pretty good - plenty of bread, pastries, fruit and someone making fresh omelette's/eggs to your request. We didn't eat in the hotel much because of the breadth of options for food in Sharm, however what we did have was good and fresh. The menu isn't very extensive though.
The pool was great, although as mentioned in other reports, the loud music takes some getting used to.
The beach is a 5-10 min walk down the road and costs a quid for a lounger - excellent snorkeling but not a beach as such, more of a jetty into deep (crystal clear) water.
Taxis into Naama Bay were only a couple of quid each way and took about 10/15 mins - prepare yourself for knackered cars and crazy drivers!
Tons to do in the evenings in Naama Bay and every possible kind of food on offer.
Cleopatra's location was not a bother for us at all as it was near enough to the beach and only a short ride from all the action in the evenings. Lovely staff...
Great for the price.
