Returned on the 9th April 2004 after spending 14 fantastic nights at this hotel on an all inclusive basis, this hotel is rated as a four star and deserves this rating.

The hotel is situated approx 10 minutes transfer time from the airport and is approached via a long road with palm trees on either side, there is very little aircraft noise, on entering the reception you are greeted by staff falling over themselves to help you carry your cases, these are Hilton employees and not looking for any sort of tip. The reception staff are ontop of their jobs and the registration is painless and immediate, you are given your room key, towel cards for the number in your party and are then shown to your room, it should be noted that the safety deposit boxes are in a room behind the reception and are free of charge.

The hotel is made of accommodation blocks two storeys high, there are two blocks in the main area adjoining the reception area/restaurant, the remainder are between the swimming pool and the beach, the hotel provides free electric car/buggy transfers to these rooms and will also assist if you have difficulty in walking during your stay. Rooms are either king size bed or two single beds with balcony, air conditioning/heating with individual controls, large television with 40 channels with programmes on each channel, fridge with free bottled water replenished daily, kettle, tea and coffee making facilities, small lounge area within the room, plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, shower room with walk in shower, wash basin, toilet etc, no bath, daily change of towels and bedding changed every two days, your room is thoroughly cleaned each day by your room boy who is more than helpful.

There are basically two restaurants, The Mansour which is the main restaurant which is open for breakfast and dinner, breakfast is full buffet and there is everything available from your fully cooked English breakfast to just fruit etc. Dinner is also a buffet and is a full spread with choice of carved meats and all the trimmings along with salads etc etc. Coffee etc is available from the coffee lounge which is seperate to the restaurant. There is also the Italian restaurant, which is downstairs and is open for lunch and dinner, again mostly Italian but an excellent selection, then there is the barbeque area which is outside adjoining the Italian restaurant and is open for lunch and dinner serving all the normal barbeques dishes plus some extras. We found the food in all three areas to be of a very high quality with no restrictions on how much you want to eat. The waiters are exceptional, cannot do enough for you and very very polite.

The swimming pool is huge and very well designed with free sunbeds and a free daily towel service with your towel card issued on arrival, there is a pool bar with a swim up area, the pool bar is open from 10.00 and serves drinks together with tea and coffee, drinks are also available in the restaurants during lunch and dinner.
It should be noted that drinks are only available by the glass and wine only when the restaurants are open but this is no problem as they have extended opening hours.

There is a fully established and fitted fitness centre free of charge.

The beach is a gentle walk through the accommodation blocks, passing the beach bar which is open from 10.00 daily, there are plenty of free sun beds available in the areas immediately prior to the beach and also on the beach itself, there is also a free daily towel service just prior to the beach.

The beach belongs to the hotel and is of sand and shingle, there is pontoon which you can view the sea life from. On the beach is a water sports centre providing all types of water sports and next to the beach bar is the dive centre, you also get a free trial dive with all the gear at 12.00 each day in the swimming pool.

There is an entertainments team who work very hard to keep everyone happy, games etc during the day around the pool with special childrens activities in a disignated area, evening entertainment is again put on by the entertainments team with regular visiting acts.

There is a special mention regarding the staff, we found all the staff and we repeat all the staff to be effecient, professional and very very helpful, we cannot praise them enough. If you enjoy a holiday which is relaxing, informal with good food, accommodation and attentive staff then this is the hotel for you. We have been so impressed with this holiday we have re-booked for another 14 nights in October of this year.

Absolutely fantastic.We went to celebrate my husbands 6oth. birthday. We wanted somethig a little different and it was our first encounter with AI we weren't disapointed everything was beyond our expectations.I couldn't wait to see the sculptures made from our towels that adorned the beds everyday.The snorkeling was unbelievable and disposable underwater cameras from Boots are brill.
The airport is "the pits" it is under militery rule so I will say no more about that.
We didn't feel we had an option over the visa. Our tickets and passport were handed in at a desk and we were told they would be returned to us on the coach.A little un-nerving but it was returned to us on the coach and we had to pay

went to hilton sharks bay for a romantic break and was not disaponited couldn't have had a better setting. lots of choice for food and all was excellent. the pool bar was my fav part could of sat there all day and drunk those cocktails!my partner did some diving and he had a fantastic time i went with him on the boats and had a great time too. all staff couldn't do enough for you. would go back tomorrow if i could.

We had a brilliant time at this hotel and would not hesitate to return.

It is literally 10 minutes from the airport, but does not suffer from excessive aircraft noise due to the direction of the flight path.

First, the one complaint we would have about the hotel. The entertainment is dire!

As an all inclusive hotel it offers fantastic value for money, it cost me and my husband

very highly recommended, could not find a fault with the place or the staff, well worth a visit. Goes down as one of the best holidays ever!!!

The hotel is great, fantastic, and joyful. The staff are great fun and friendly.

The hotel was excellent. You couldn't ask for more. The location is great, not right in the middle but just a free bus ride away. The entertainment was ok but town has good entertainment and shopping. You can esily get a bargain and pay in US dollars.

I am visiting the hotel again in Easter as well because it's fantastic!
