The hotel is spotless and if there is any dirt/rubbish it is quickly sorted by the very attentive hotel staff. The pools at the hotel are stunning but as it was January they were far to cold to entertain the possibility of entering, however the indoor heated pool is fantastic, you just need to time it right when it is a bit quieter.
The food was great, buffet style with plenty of choice, we loved the Which Way restaurant the best, as it was quieter than the main restaurant and the staff there are even more friendlier if that was possible. And as for Ahmed (Wicked Man) at the Which Way bar, well there is a character.... a lovely man who could not do enough for us, and where we spent most of our drinking time.
With regards to the entertainment, in our view there was none for the british within the hotel, which suited us perfectly as we were more than happy chatting with the staff and other guests, with the exception of the Russians who do not seem to appreciate anyone or anything interupting their drinking!
The only problem we had and that was due to our lack of info about the country - in Jan and Feb there is a very strong wind that is not necessarily warm, the sun is strong enough for a good tan but you do need to find a shelted position for any sun bathing.

Good Points: Staff are very friendly and will help you in any way they can. Beautiful hotel and surroundings and room is very clean.
Bad Points: The food was awful and very repetitive. They cater for Italians and Russians, but I'm sure even they got sick and tired of the food. After the second day, we were running to the toilet after every meal. Went to the chemist over the road from the Laguna Vista who gave us some very strong antibiotics, cramp medication and sick pills as the Antinal that everyone had mentioned on the forums didnt work after 3 days. The first week, we ended up eating soup and bread, or pasta but that was about it.
All inclusive is a load of rubbish. The main restaurant and Which Way Restaurant is all inclusive hence the awful food. We went to the Dua Dua once but the food there was awful too. Pasta again.
Entertainment Staff: These people are everywhere around the main pools and wont leave you alone. They hassle you constantly asking you to come and do 'stretching' 'yoga' or 'dancing' you tell them no, but they're not interested. Really annoying.
Pool beds are gone by 7am so make sure you get up early if you want a bed.
The worst part: Please dont book this hotel if you are coming to snorkle in the red sea. This is why we went and we were so dissapointed. First of all, its a long walk to the beach from the hotel. Then its knee deep for ages into the sea and you really do have to search around for Coral and fish once you get out there. Most of the people at this hotel are russian or italian and they are usually found standing all over the coral and it was awful.
TRIPS:
We did the Luxor trip, which was excellent, you definitely have to do this trip, we went through the Thomas Cook Rep and enjoyed every minute of it although it was a long day, but well worth it.
Ras Mohammed - Excellent coral and fish, loved it. Brilliant trip and well worth it.
Tiran - Waste of money! Nothing to see and the stops that we went too, there were hundreds of boats there, with nothing to see, not sure why our boat stopped where it did?!
NAAMA BAY:
Brilliant, really enjoyed going there, eating in TGI Fridays was lovely. Really nice food and cheap too.
Hard rock cafe was rubbish, and took 2 hours to cook a steak?! wouldnt go there again.

The food. Bearing in mind they are catering for alot of people the food was fine. My 10 year old fussy eater ate and enjoyed a good meal every night. The Dua Dua was fantastic. The pizzas were georgeous and they also do take away. I had the seafood risotto which was the best I have ever tasted, my partner had the ravioli and was yummy. When I last checked Italian food is alot of pasta and pizza so struggle to see why a previous posting moaned about this??? I admit I did have the fab delli belly but dont think this had anything to do with the food. I had upset tum most days but just got on with it and still ate etc.
The hotel is on the beach and yes the sea is probaly knee hight for quite a while but if you walk out along the Jetty and get in the sea here the fish and coral are amazing and well worth the walk out. WE swam/walked out most days and always saw something different.
The only thing that did let this hotel down was the lack of entertainment. But to be honest we made our own and did enjoyed ourselves.
The staff are fantastic and friendly the grounds are beautiful. The rooms are kept very clean and tidy.

The cleanliness of this hotel is amazing, the grounds and inside the hotel is spotless.
The location is beautiful and the view from the balcony takes your breath away.
Hotel staff are amazing, very friendly and eager to please.
The entertainment was aimed very much at the Italians but we weren't too bothered.
We would visit this hotel again. The only downside was the magnificant reception and bar area (which is stunning) had not air conditioning, very hot to sit of an evening in June and enjoy a drink in the evening.

The only problem was the entertainment. Also everyone who stayed the the resort at the same time as we did we all ended up having stomach bugs could be the sun but some people was saying it was the food.
However, other than that we all had a great time, and also the cleaners do a fantastic job.

The people buy the pool would bend over backwards to help you but so would all the staff... the bar staff are brilliant and every body out there are willing to help you.
The only down bit to the hotel is the entertainment there is none for children as the animation team is itlian and speak Italian.
the hotel has alot of Italian people in it and they can be funny and rude at times but other than the entertainment that was what the doctor ordered brilliant holiday brilliant hotel and excllent people.

The cleaning staff work very hard - the rooms and the resort are spotless!
The food is fantastic although a week was fine i think that two weeks would have driven me mad. The range and variety is good and the service is fantastic. Wouldn't advise drinking the wine though unless you like vinegar :)If you miss breakfast which would be a shame as you have such a vast choice from the "omlette Chef" to pastries and French toast and fruit you can always have a snack at the pool bar the serve burgers and chips or sausages in rolls until 1pm if you don't fancy that you can wait 1pm and the Which Way Restaurant opens up at the beach or the main hall till 3pm. You can also have as much ice as you like in your drinks as the hotel only uses bottled water.
If you get a bit bored of eating in the hotel then your holiday rep will give you a discount card for the Hard Rock Cafe in Naama Bay - a good night out, great food, cheap, lots of it and great entertainment for adults and kids.
The hotel is located about 20 mins from the airport which for me was fantastic as the last thing you want after a 5 hour flight is a 2 hour transfer to the hotel.
Laguna Vista has its own private beach which is a 5-10 minute walk through the resort. You don't need to worry about trudging down with towels and cold drinks and snacks as you are given a towel card for your stay and hand them in to the attendant who will give you fresh towels. There is a bar at the beach which provides cold drinks, beer, local spirits, tea and coffee and crisps. There are also trampolines for the kids, bike hire and a supermarket (there is one at the front of the resort along with a small shopping complex and Chemist.
Would strongly recommend that you take with you the strongest dose of Immodium that you can get and stock up on crackers or digestive biscuits, as hard as you try you will get "Deli Belli" and probably come home with it as we just have. Be very careful if you go to the chemist and they offer you there diohrea tablets as we brought some and checked them out on the internet when we got home and some of them are actually banned apart from Eygpt...
The staff are friendly and helpful. The cleaners do a fantastic job and make wonderful animals and flowers from the towels and leave them on your bed. I would advise not to tip them until the end of the holiday some of them will then expect a tip every time you see them. Ours kept coming back daily and knocking on the door with toilet rolls (which are provided every day anyway) and air freshener (which is sprayed daily along with bug spray) after the second time no tip was offered!
The hotel does lack in evening entertainment especially for the children. There is a pianist in the lobby and a pool table in the cave bar - but once the kids get on it you have no chance. Although you do have a fair choice of TV channels in your room,Discovery Channel, Cartoon Network for the kids (and adults) and a 24hr Movie Channel and CNN News. I would recommend a packet of playing cards or travel games and a good book for the evenings.
Despite the tummy upsets and lack of evening entertainment we would definitely consider returning there for a family holiday next year.

The maid came every day clean sheets etc. The staff are great very friendly. But two main things we all had very bad tummy upset and sickness which took up 4 days of our holiday not nice. Many people there had it too the chemist was helpful but cost 15 to 20 pound a time for tablets.
Not cheap there but quad bikes worth every penny ... not a place for kids not enough to do Oliver was very bored ..the hotel catered mainly for Italian people we felt alien also the Italians were not very friendly and do not like to mix with the English.
The hotel entertainment put you to sleep piano most nights or bingo on sat night. Overall nice hotel nice food nice staff the few English couples we met were great thank god they spoke to us other wise we would have had to learn to speak Italian.
No we would not go back as the evenings were dull.
