We gave a few tips as the beginning of the holiday only to be told they were happy to serve us without extra payment.
The lobby & surrounding gardens are magnificent as were the pools & beach.
Food was very good apart from the beach bar which only offered burgers/hotdogs & chips.
Italian animation team were great. join in & have fun or sit back & relax. The won't annoy you.
Security is second to none & visits to Naama Bay are equally safe as the hotel shuttle bus gets a police escort (daunting but reassuring)
This is undoubtedly the best hotel in Nabq bay & offers the best sandy/shingly beach. (beach at sounding hotels is very rocky)
Can't really fault this hotel, but money changing facilities would be advantageous.

The hotel is clean beyond belief, the food is excellant something for everyone. One example the omlette chef at breakfast, is quite happy to cook you fried egg or scrambled egg you only have to ask, people saw me with it and ask where i got it from.
It is not nessersary to tip staff on arrival to be looked after they don't exspect it, but at the end of the holiday when you see how well they have looked after you and how hard they work, you will want to tip them just to show your appreciation and they do appreciate it.
The lobby is magnificent something straight out of an Indianna Jones movie, we popped into a few other hotels and they do not come anywhere near the standards of Laguna Vista.
The housemaids are excellent and we went back to our room each day not only to find it spotless but also the time spent by the maid making animals from the towels, one day we had a 4ft crocodile made with legs, eyes holding the remote for the tv in it's mouth.
Thanks to Ahmed in the pool bar, Mohammed in the terrace bar, and our old friend Oddjob and the rest of the staff.

We stayed in the Presidential suite for the first week and it was fantastic, room clean and extremely large, pool huge and overall great. The second week it was in the superior rooms, this again was just as good with the exception of we could now just open our room door into our own pool- great!
The air conditioning was spot on as we have stayed in hotels before in Sharm and if the air conditioning is poor it can make your holiday miserable with lack of sleep due to the intense heat. The maids were very good and always on time, nothing was too much trouble.
The food was good and always fresh, the waiters never stopped getting you drinks or clearing your table. You could never go hungry as there is so much to choose from morning until late at night, anyone who says that the food is poor has not stayed at this hotel.
We arrived at around 11.30 pm and the hotel kept the waiters behind to make sure that all the arrivals had something to eat and drink, this gave us a great start to out holiday and it just kept getting better with the service and getting to know the staff.
The only negative point was the entertainment was very poor or rather didn

The maids came in every other day and made swans out of our towels with petals from the bush outside.
The food was ok, could have had a bit more variety.
It is good if you are a lover of meat.
Located on the beach, with clear blue sea.
Hotel staff are extremely friendly and will go out of their way to help you.
We did not find the entertainment area until 3 days before coming home so could not comment on this.
I would definitely go back to this hotel but not in June, way too hot.

I think that the entertainment was quite good the animation staff were the best.
I would go back there into the near future

The food was fabulous with that many choices that we couldn't possibly have tried everything if we'd stayed for a month (although we did try)
The beer and booze offered to all inclusive guests was as good as any you'd find in an English pub, just lots more of it at no extra cost.
The hotel staff were the nicest and friendliest people we have met, they made our stay at Laguna Vista something we will never forget, many thanks to Sabhir, Saleem, Achmed, Akram and all the other staff, not forgetting Alex in the corner shop over the road (boy! could he barter.) See you all next year.
Entertainment for us was provided by the staff, for slightly more energetic people there was a disco and a few things going on during the day, for a wild night out I would suggest travelling to Naama bay.
We will definitely be going back, we are planning on Jan 2007 and we can't wait!

The food is very good.
The service in the Laguna vista is of a very high standard.
All The staff were excellent.
We enjoyed the entertainment provided by our Italian friends!!
We chose the Laguna vista for a relaxing week with the added bonus of snorkelling off the beach. They did us proud. The setting of the hotel is wonderful and the weather was sunny and warm.
We went out once to Naam bay for shopping, this was ok but be prepared to be ripped off in the Hard Rock cafe where 4 drinks will set you back

The bed was at least 8ft by 8ft and the kids had a double upstairs. Food was great plenty of cakes and buns, I think they do seem to cater more for the Italians more than the English, I am very suprised since the Italians were always rude to the hotel staff. Never did I once witness a please or thankyou.
The entertainment was nothing to write home about. It was the only thing I think let the place down. They had bingo in the cave bar at 10pm and they had dancing/shows in the disco this also started at 10pm. In these bars you have to pay for your drinks, no problem, at first we thought so we all had a drink in the cave bar the price was ten English pounds. One coke, one lemonade one vodka/coke and one half of lager. I wasnt very happy, I paid all inclusive this means I have already paid for the entertainment so where ever the entertainment is I should be able to get a drink, like I stated earlier I don't mind paying but I'm not a bank.
The Disco is very loud but just leave the air-con in your room on you don't hear the music then.
The staff in this hotel are great they all deserve a gold medal. Ramario (odd job) he calls himself is great. (Hello to the computer man) he was great I also introduced him to holiday truths.
I always wanted a room with a pool outside I'm glad I didn't go in one they have lots of mozzies keep your doors closed if your staying in one.
The bathrooms have Lux shampoo, shower gel, and hand wash so when I go again I will not bother taking any. When you stay hear get your clothes washed/dry cleaned by the hotel not bad for one pound fifty per item (in English) mini fridge also hairdryer.
The lazy river is brill when the pumps are working you don't need to swim it just take you round.
While you're here you must take a trip - go for the sun seekers it's worth every penny great for the kids to.
The kids club is great for the kids they loved it.
When you go here you will not want to stay anywhere else again.

Salah, Kiko and Emad were fantastic, certainly 5 Star treatment from them all. Hassan our waiter in the Italian Restaurant was great too.
Food was ok, something for you to choose from, got a bit hectic at times. We ate in the Italian Restaurant a lot. We went into Naama Bay and ate at the Hard Rock Cafe, Mexican and Thai, all meals 5 Star, sevice 5 Star too.
Looking forward to our next visit next year.
Take plenty of sun lotion, it is very hot and a hat is a must.

1. The hotel is very clean, there was always someone around cleaning the floors emptying ashtrays etc.
2.The hotel looks like a dream, it has a very nice outlook, the rooms (in the hotel, I cannot comment on the bungalows) are large and very nicely furnished. If you really want to spoil yourself get a superior room with a pool right outside your balcony which you will share with only 4 other rooms.
3. The beach is very nice (if you can avoid the animination team) and the sea was about 30 degrees when we were there.
4. There is a coral reef some way out but you can almost walk out to it. (The piers are a bit hairy!)
5. The food was good with a good variety. I never came across anyone who had any health problems assosicated with the food.
The bad points:
1. The hotel is quite a way from the resort and so once you are in the hotel you either have to get a taxi or a bus to the nearest resort.
2. There is not a lot to do at night
3. Whilst I note some of the comments on this site about the staff and the service we found the service to be very bad. My view was that unless you gave the staff money at the outset they would not be nice to you. My view is that to get a tip you should first of all work for it, so we got the worst service. You must decide for yourself how you want to play it with the staff there.
4. The one thing that let our holiday down was the restaurant. It was like eating in a train station so loud and so many people all fighting for tables. The tables were not cleaned quick enough and quite often we found ourselves cleaning the tables ourselves from the previous occupants left overs.
5. The sunbeds were all taken by 7.30am. I know that most of you will think that it was the Germans. I am English my Husband is German and neither of us wanted to get up early to occupy a sunbed. It turned out however that no-one had to - if you paid the pool boy he would do it for you. Again I didn't want to involve myself in this.
Overall it was a good holiday- not one of my best and I would not go back again. If you are prepared to buy the service (which I happen to belive you should have already paid for in the cost of the holiday) then you will be treated like a King or Queen, however if you are not prepared to do this then the staff are just, in my opinion, arrogant and this runined our holiday, that and trying to have a relaxing evening meal which was almost impossible.
Good Luck!
