This hotel was fantastic. Straight out of Indiana Jones.

A large complex with private beach 8 pools, 4 diners, poolside bars, clean, and very oriental.

No building over two stories high and very open.

We've given the food a 4 due to the lack of Brit food, mostly it's Italian and continental.

We've given 1 for entertainment due to the lack of it and when it's there, it is strictly Italian and a touch of German.

All hotel staff were fantastic and English was spoken everywhere. Special thanks to Mr Heesham the night manager, whom sorted everything out on the 24hr bar!! Our friends Ahmed, Hamaan, Hamdy and Mohamed at the beach bar were the kindest polite and smiley hotel staff we have ever met in our 20yrs travelling the world.

If you don't mind Italians everywhere I would rate this hotel to you.

TIP: Learn some Arabic and you will be treated like Kings + Queens. They are simply not used to it.

This hotel was very clean and the gardens were amazing.

The food was great the best All Inclusive I have stayed at. They had a great Italian which made wonderful Pizzas as you waited.

The All Inclusive drink was great and I can recommend the local beer Stella. I would recommend to tip the barmen as I did not need to go to the bar all night he would come to our table.

The swimmimg pools and beach were great, but sometimes we found there were not enough sunbeds for everyone. Tip: we tipped the staff and we had two sunbeds everyday.

The hotel staff were amazing, they could not do enough for us and if you took time to talk to them they became a friend for life.

Entertainment in English is limited. We went to Colombo bar pool during the day and they did water areobics and volleyball and the animation team all spoke English. I even did belly dancing one day which was great fun.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone couples or a family and will return one day soon.

My wife and I travelled to Egypt on an allocated on arrival B+B deal from airtours, on arrival we were quite happy to be told that we had been upgraded from B+B to all inclusive at the Reef Oasis resort (sharm el sheik).

The hotel is almost a resort in itself, very big grounds and gardens, its own private beach and many pools and bars. The apartments were nice, and most were single floor building, the double bed was massive, the room was very nice.

Now onto the bad news. The majority of holidaymakers here were Italian, maybe 80%, with Austrians and Russians making up the rest. During our first week there were few other English people here.
No big problem really, but the whole hotel and its staff were totally geared towards Italians, all of the information boards for the beach and the mini-theatre were in Italian only. We found the Italians rude and arrogant.

By the way my wife is Russian and I've spent a lot of time travelling and living abroad so I'm used to people from other cultures and countries.

There are 2 entertainment "animation" teams (one Italian and the other Russian). On the beach the Italian team refused to speak to anybody who wasn't Italian, they were very rude. The Russian team were more friendly and put on a little dance show every night in the main bar.

The food was reasonable but not great, meal times were like an Olympic race to get a good seat, at times the restaurant could get very busy.
Almost all the other English people I met reported dodgy stomachs.

The hotel staff were mostly useless and ignorant and didn't know what day it was.
One day they advertised a free trip to Cairo for the next day.
We decided to ask about it and we were given an itinerary, told to pack and leave our room early the next morning, and told that we would be informed of any changes to the trip.
The next morning we packed up and left the room, waited around for the Cairo bus, and nobody was there !
On enquiring at reception nobody had even heard of the Cairo trip !
Eventually after many phone calls to the manager we were told that the trip had been cancelled. We were not best pleased to get up early and waste a whole morning packing and unpacking.

We were told to ask the hotels "guest relation" rep about the trip.
The guest relation rep was a snotty Italian women who told me that her services were "only for italian people".
At this point we had had enough of the hotel, I would never wish to go back. 2 weeks was too long there, 1 week would have been enough.

As with most all-inclusive resorts you are given a coloured wristband on arrival that you are supposed to wear all the time during your stay.
English people got blue, russians red, austrians green, and italians cream.

This colour coding allows the staff to quickly identify which country you are from.

Some other english people told me that their kids were almost ignored when they went to play at the kids clubs once the staff saw that they were English.

The hotel had a lot of entertainment in the daytime such as beach aerobics, volleyball, tennis, archery, but trying to find an information about these in English was difficult as the animation team would only help Italians.

The weather was great, the beach was a little small but ok, with a nice coral reef. We had a nice time, but no thanks to the hotel staff.

I wouldnt recommend this hotel and I wouldn't like to ever go back.

On my previous review of this hotel I forgot to say that during our second week the hotel decided to start building work right behind our apartment , about 10 foot from our door !

They were pulling a stone wall down, there was dust everywhere, stones and rubble on the floor, and bare electric cables exposed on the floor, definitely not safe. If I had had children with me then I would have been very worried about them playing out amongst this rubble.

I have recently returned from the Reef Oasis with my husband and two daughters aged 14 and 17 years.

The hotel, rooms and resort were very clean, I did not see any rubbish around and there were plenty of bins to put the rubbish in.

Clean towels every day and bed linen changed regulary.

The food was fine plenty of variety, some could have been a little warmer but maybe the fact that other holidaymakers left the containers open.

At the bar the barmen would have the time to serve and have a laugh or two with you.

Entertainment was mainly Italian but that didn't stop you joining in.

The hotel resort has a lovely beach fantastic for snorkelling.

The weather was very good when we were there in April.

Just reurned from a fantastic week at the Reef Oasis.

Food, cleanliness and staff were excellent.

Only complaint - too many loud and rude Italians.

48 hours before were due to leave for the resort, I spent a day trying to alter our hotel having read the reviews on this site. It was fine. The hotel is nicely situated right on the beach, is reasonably attractive in terms of architecture and with lovely grounds.

The whole site is metciulously manitained by pleasant staff. We had an upgraded room which was adequate but not luxurious. It was cleaned every day and we had no complaints with the standard of hygiene manitained.

We did not enter the large dining room near reception after reading reports on this site, preferring to use the Grill and Italian restaurants. These were both fine and the standard of produce used was good, e.g chicken dishes were made with breast meat and not cheaper cuts. The variety was good and if the food was occasionally cool, it was due to people not reclosing the lids after inspection.

The locally produced wine was obviously not New World quality, but was drinkable without too much grief! We drank only water from bottles that we opened ourselves and kept away from ice in drinks and fruit that was unpeeled.

Neither of us suffered from D&V as a result.
The selection at breakfast was first class and good pizzas are available for lunch as well as a full meat at the restaurants.

Staff are couteous and good humoured, and try hard to please.
We thought the entertainment in the evenings was fine, although the resorts all cater to the huge number of Italians.

We did not find the Italians rude at any time and they were quick to respond to greetings of good morning etc.
