Sunrise Island View hotel for 2 weeks all inclusive was an absolute joy. the hotel was so clean and the staff were so friendly. they couldn't do enough for the guests. Food was extremely varied with choices for even the fussiest guests and food prepared to a very high standard, and presented exquisitely. the carved fruits and statues made from butter to decorate and present dishes was stunning. resturant manager constantly checking that all was to our satisfaction. we were made to feel so welcome and had such a relaxing and pampered holiday that we would certainly visit again. entertainment was the only aspect that let the resort down. they could do with a house band or similar.

We were really impressed with the hotel. It was 92% capacity even in November but everywhere was relaxed and had no queues at lunch or dinner and always found a table we liked. Heated pool was fantastic and children loved the flumes. Staff always curtious and friendly. We had great games of pool with the children. Swimming in the sea was out of this world.

All inclusive could not be beaten with four hungry children. Parents had the most relazing holiday possible.

We will definately return!!

After much worrying with reading other comments we had best holiday ever. The hotel is excellent in every way.

There was plenty of food to choose from and yes some unusual dishes but they have to cover many different countries so understandable. You could eat outside or inside with a non smoking area.

The staff could not do enough for you and were very pleasant at all times.

The rooms were very spacious and comfortable, yes a few ants but not like a horror film, and I hate all creepy crawlies. Some of the bathrooms are being upgraded now but will be awhile until they are completed with the amount of rooms they have.

The beach was excellent and getting over my fear of fish and going in the sea with them was out of this world. the pools and slides were excellent too, we situated ourselves so we were close to the bar, restuarant and our room without walking for miles.

The singers were entertaining in all the wrong ways but the nightly entertainment at the ampitheatre was great 8/10 from 9:30-11pm and there was a bar just beside it.

We went to nama bay a few times and loved it, just stay determined if you don't want to buy and keep walking and they get the hint.

I would recommend anyone to this hotel apart from wheelchair users as there is no lifts and quite a few stairs.

can't wait to go back

We could not have asked for better the rooms were very spacious and kept to a high standard of clenliness with the rooms been cleaned every day and clean towels, the food in this hotel was plentifull and well presented could not fault it, the staff were very helpful plesant and courtious at all times, a little tipping goes a long way, entertainment was somewhat limited around the main pool area at night but if you took a short walk to the ampitheatre it was much better. we met the mcgowan family who also had a little boy slightly younger than our own and all in all had a wonderfull time, i would have no hesitation in reccomending this hotel to anybody.

Hotel reception staff very polite and helpful.

Rooms clean but bathroom seen better days and needed replacing.

Pool not clean. 3 of our party contracted ear and eye infections. Many other guests with same complaints. Pool guy told us that there had been a change of staff and there had problems with dosing. This was sorted by the time we left.

Pool bar hygiene/cleanliness levels non existent. Dishwashers in place but hardly used. Plastic glasses just waved under running tap and then re-used. All of our party ended up with diarrhoea and two of us are still ill 4 days after returning. I spoke to at least 22 other people round the pool who were also suffering with the same complaint.Staff were spoken to by hotel management, but I still saw glasses being washed in the same manner on the last day of my holiday.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and would never return.

we thought the hotel was very good. it was cleaned on a regular basis. the food was quite varied, i am a fussey eater but always found something to eat. the hotel is outside naama bay but easily accesible. the hotel staff in general are very friendly and approachable. the evening entertainment was a bit dull (2 singers, the same songs for 2 weeks) but at least it was something , but there is a disco which the teenagers went to unitl 3am, although i wouldn't really recommend this hotel for 14 year olds. although we knew before we travelled it wouldnt be a teenagers paradise! the snorkelling was a bit of a disappointment compared to the hotel we stayed in last year in Naama Bay, i missed being able to paddle into the sea, the only way was to walk onto the jetty, no good if you are not a particularly good swimmer. 3 of us suffered with diarrhoea but i recommed going straight to the hotel doctor, dont bother with immodium etc. all in all we have enjoyed ourselves and would think of returning, but would rather try different locations!

Arrived at Sharm at the same time as three planes no organisation in the passport control area no orderly queue just going around the large arrival area no instructions eventually after 1hr went through to get our cases. had booked a mini bus fron select egypt excellent 20 euros with 2 guides very helpful. Took us directly to the hotel checked us in and sorted problems with the rooms children in opposite direction. Airport close but not a problem journey time 15min.

Rooms excellent three rooms all with twin beds plus a sofa bed two balconys.cleaned everyday with fresh towels some nights towels arrived after we had showered.

hotel ground vast but you soon get to know your way around.very helpfull staff if you get lost guards walking around ground through out the day.

I suggest you wait till after 8pm to go down for your evening meal and sit outside it will be alot quieter, even though the double doors do course a few problems no one holds them open or says thank you.the inside tables are like a cafe noisey and smokey, foreign and english children running around when they have finished. Plenty of food always somthing to try, but you will always get the usual holiday maker moaning.

Negative side to hotel bar staff do not wash the glasses properly so we used to wssh the in the hot water from the tea urn or use the plastic through away cups.as it got hotter so did there facial expressions when the children went up for a drink .I would not let the children or even Teenagers go to the bars with out you they will be ignored. or you asked for fresh lemonade not flat drinks. They seem to only like the people who tip continually, but you still get the same drink.

Beds around pool are saved by the staff for guests who are paying them and then they dont appear till after lunch. In the end we joined the majority of people and set are alarms for 6am to beat the pool staff especially around pool 2 to get beds, by 7am there were no beds. The staff were annoyed this ws happening because the guests who stayed in bed arrived at 10 and 11am walked over to him expecting to be shown to there beds.this was quite amusing to see ther faces as they then had no beds and no umberella. On numerous occasions towels were removed by staff and bed appeared from no were for certain people.the good tipper but we have all paid to go on holiday and should be treated fairly.

The beach was excellent with plenty of sunbeds through out the day with enough umberellas which you need the temperature reached 54c most days.

The entertainment tried during the day 2nd week was alot better as more people joined in but it was very hot for some of the activites not in the shade.

Evening entertainment was poor started at 21.40pm finished at 10.30pm with 1 club dance.you could use the disco which ws empty, loud and hot. you also had to pay for your drinks.2 singers by pool 1 were terrible same songs each night, should have carried the dancing on in the ampitheatre till midnight. Not enough for teenages at night but there was never any trouble or noise they all just sat and talked or played snooker.

I would return to this hotel after all that but probably with out teenages, for a relaxing break on the beach.

food was fine, loads to choose from.
kids enjoyed most of the entertainment but it cost a small fortune for the snooker/pool as there wasn`t much for them to do.
there was no breeze for the first 10 days so it was very hot.
staff were brill(we did a lot of tipping).
there is nowhere to go to get out of the sun. they also have alluminium tables and chairs around pool 1 in the blazing sun which is just plain crazy.
all in all i don`t think much of this hotel, it is a nice place but they don`t seem to have things in the right place and for this reason i would never go back to this hotel again

well we travelled on the 21st june 2007 we flew with monarch from manchester. When we arrived at the hotel check in took about 10 mins, then went o our room. The rooms are a good size and ours had a seperate double bedroom and pullout bed bathroom very spacious. the pool 1 is great swim up bar and a slide. the life guards were great we allways pushed them in lol they didnt mind. All staff friendly and polite and a tip goes a long way. the food was ok alright for first week or so then we ordered MACdonalds and kfc from the free phone nr reception area. Also the cleanliness was imaculate. overall had a great holiday and would go back again !!!!!!!!

Stayed in hotels over the May day Bank Holiday.

Hotel generally kept clean although now starting to look tired in places especially the bathrooms.

Food was not good, all the food seemed to be covered in some sauces ( ie beef in sauce, turkey in sauce and very salty) in the main restaurant. Sparrows where constantly flying around and eating off the tables, I only once saw one deficate once on the food and the item was removed.
The area out side the main restaurant also serving food for the kids was OK and we generally ate here (pizza was very good).
We used the Fatima restaurant (near the beach) which was good and would recommend that you try it. There was always something you could find to eat but I would not have liked to have been here for 14 days.

Bar areas need attention. Glass cleaning was a quick wash under running water and then put to one side ready to serve again. Beer good but the spirits do not taste quite right. We paid for a Baileys in the Victoria bar and was charge
