The hotel was A/I and I could not fault it. My favorite spot was on the beach and eating in the beach reasturant.

The food was ok, plenty to eat and drink.

The hotel is immaculate there appears to be more staff than guests and nothing is too much trouble.

We had a junior suite which had a seperate living room and bedroom and two balconys pletny of rooms and a huge bathroom the room was cleaned every day that we were there.

The location was fine. A few shops across the road including a bank chemist and supermarket Namma Bay is only 10 mins drive.

The hotel staff are really nice and friendly tipping is a way of life and will get you a better service. I did not watch the entertainment but my son did and he enjoyed it.

I would definitely come back. Thinkling of doing so in August.

My son who is 13 loved it and made many friends I was perfectly safe to leave him to play on his own while Irelaxed on the beach or snorkled.

Great place!

On our 2nd visit to this hotel, as one of the family had a medical restriction mobility the hotel reception staff were very helpful and they were able to provide us with a room allocated near to all the amenities (room 119).

After arriving 4.5 hours late our check in at the hotel was very quick and we was shown to our room by the hotel porter straight away.

Once in the room within 10 minutes we had our luggage brought to our room and the beds were all made up. As it was our 2nd visit there was a basket of fruit waiting for us.

The room itself which was a Junior Suite was very clean. The safes are free of charge at this hotel, the fridge is stocked with Water, 7up and Coke on your arrival.

The food at the hotel has lots of variety for everybody's need and also for vegetarians as our daughter is a vegetarian.

The hotel staff are very friendly and very helpful as a tip goes a long way and is well appreciated. Thank you to Mahmoud (pool bar), Magad (BBQ Bar Area),Sayed (main restaurant), and Mahmood (Terrace Bar). When we went for a drink at these particularly areas we got service straight away and drinks brought directly to our table. We recommend the beer as it is Egyptian stella. The sunshine non alcoholic drink is ideal for children as our daughter had nothing else but this drink.

The entertainment has improved from last year as there is a British Entertainment Team (Thomas Cook) which started this year. Jodie, Simon and Natia did a good job entertaining the children. There was a different show each evening including, Fire Show, Oriental Show and a Variety show. All in all there were very good shows. All the animation team worked very hard day and night.

If you would like to go on a couple of trips whilst out there we would recommend Star Gazing and the Almira2 Yacht trip on the red sea, to see the dolphins and to have a swim and do some snorkelling.

Had a fantastic 2 weeks at this hotel and would recommend it for families, we would return to this hotel.

Absolutely fantastic holiday - you must go !!

Hotel and grounds were absolutely stunning. Choice, quality and abundance of food and drinks was amazing, with snack stops and drinks available all the time. Whatever your eating or drinking tastes there will always be something for you.

The staff were amazing - they made us feel really welcome and looked after us 24/7. our room cleaner even made a swan from the towel !! The staff at the health club were particularly friendly and helpful.

The staff are not paid particularly well in Egypt so are truly grateful for any tips you give them. We gave tips as a thank you for the great job they were doing and they thanked us for doing it by giving even better service !!

Fairly good entertainment during day and evening, with lots of pool games and shows etc, slides were great round the pool too! There was a show on every night, which was always different. There is a Disco upstairs every night too.

All in all a fantastic place to go and would reccomend to anybody.

So Pleased to see that someone else has posted a report on this hotel. We find this site so helpful.

A truely wonderful holiday. The weather was almost too hot being on the coast of the Sinai Desert. 37o daily. The hotel was lovely, spacious and excellently maintained. The staff are very helpful - they like english people and you arent surprised when you see the way they are treated by other nationalities. A little curtesy goes a long way with the Egyptians. The tipping is excessive outside the resort but inside a very well deserved end of holiday tip is welcomed. The exchange rate is

Just returned from a fantastic holiday in the Sunrise Island View in Sharks Bay, Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.

Firstly Sunrise chain has two hotels here, The Sunrise Island View and the Sunrise Gardens. The better of the two is the Sunrise Island View as it has more facilities + the added advantage of it's own beach.

I will break the review up in sections.

Getting there:-
We booked the holiday through Teletext holidays who in hindsight gave us an honest description of this hotel. They also advised on transfer to hotel etc... We flew from Luton Airport with Thomsons, although the holiday was actually with Imperial Holidays.

When we arrived at Sharm Airport, we did not bother getting a Visa as we did not plan to travel outside Sinai. We went straight through. We were advised to book a taxi from within the airport. It cost us

We arrived August, it was very hot 40 degrees. Hotel was very nice, needed a bit of a cleanup in bathroom areas.

Food was good, a good variety. Hygiene at main pool bar very poor, did not wash plastic glasses in dishwasher just swilled under running water, thus half of hotel came down with sickness and diarrhea and i am not joking! All my 4 children had it, 2 very bad the hotel tried to tell us it was the heat.

The staff were very friendly, some a bit to much!

Beach was a bit of a trek in heat, excellent for adults and older kids, no good for toddlers as no excess to water other than pontoon, wonderful for snorkeling fish amazing.

Personally wouldn't go again. Been to better.
