Try to get a sea view room overlooking the lovely gardens and sea.
The buffet is excellent and we did not get sick.
Amazing place.

You must upgrade to the best rooms, as all rooms in need of new furniture and decor etc. must have a seaborne or pool view room too.
Charging for wifi in this day and age is disgusting hotels just making money out of you for all extras.

Staff very helpful, good food, rooms very clean. The staff go out of their way to help you day or night. Try the Italian restaurant, it has good steak and you will go back again.

Deluxe & Superior rooms in the main hotel.
Room 1210, spacious and quiet over looking the swimming pool.
Onions is a good restaurant to try, but being on the all inclusive, we did not try, but a lot of guests did.

Even number rooms face the sun, odd number rooms are on the dark side and never see the sun.

Beaches

I loved the resort, very clean, lots to do in Naama bay, get there either by taxi (£2 but check price before you get in), the beaches were lovely, we liked Turquoise beach the best. We found a very small tour operater, just down from the hotel, turn right, walk down, cross road, opposite brothers dive college, next door to the supermarket and silver shop. All the tours were very competitively priced, and we couldn't fault them at all for service, the guy who ran the shop (I think his name was Mody Sugary) was very helpful, and couldn't do enough to help us, I would certainly use them again when I return to Sharm.

The beach was lovely, you had to walk up the Jetti to getinot the sea as the Egyptians are very caring about the coral and the fish, the snorkelling off the end of the hotels jetti was the best in Sharm, we went on excersions to go snorkelling and it was not as good as the coral by our hotel! Saw stingrays and nemos Jellyfish all very exciting for free!
unfortunately there is always someone tryin g to sell you something, but just be polite and tell them you arnt interested, this is similar to poolside as hotel staff have to try to sell their speciality themed nights.
Hotel have minibus to tak you to main town, very intereseting, always something to do, cheap ben and jerrys ice cream! Pacha club and sheesa pipes in most bars.Excersions worth gonig on, we went on a deser safari camel riding and to cleo park and on snorkelling trip - very interesting to see how egyptians live and how they earn mney in the poorer egypt.
Beautiful beach and surroundings perfect for Honeymoon or Couples holiday but not really lively unless in main town.
All in all, i loved the hotel and the holiday overall

Everyone friendly, lots of come into my shop, haggling a must, start at half the offered price expect to pay approx 70%.
Beaches not soft sand, but this is offset by the coral.
A must is snorkelling - especially the Ras Mohammed trip what an exceptional excursion. We also tried the quad bikes, great.
The hotel offered us a tour of Sharm by bus with a guide and drinks about 3 hours for 50 Egyptian pounds PP (all of £5) well worth it.
Great holiday

Sonesta Beach is across the road about 5 mins walk. Or a free bus operates every half hour. The beach gets very busy, but the snorkeling in the sea is fantastic with hundreds of fish to see. Naama bay is very busy and comes to life at night shopping is more up market than the old market area. You still get hassled though but not quite as much.

Naama Bay is an experience when you arrive in the taxi many men will be waiting to help you across the road show you the crossing sell you cigarettes but beware they will do absoloutely nothing without asking for a tip. So just be confident in saying no thank you. Walk in the middle of the pedestrian roadway as you will be continually pestered to go inside various restaurants, shops etc., Browsing is not a good idea unless you are assertive in saying no they continue to pester in an aggressive way if you dont give tips etc., The restaurants are very cheap between £6-8 per person unfortunately most do not sell alcohol only soft drinks so you have to go to the supermarkets purchase your drinks and they will happily open and provide glasses. If you need the toilet this is another story they usually rent a toilet off one of the local shops so you are escorted by a member of staff to the toilet this can become quite a pain as they are usually a short walk and not very clean so take hand cleanser with you. If you require a toilet when you are not in the restaurant and ask someone they will expect a tip I went to the toilet and a security guard (who I thought was safe to ask) waited outside for a tip I of course say no tip and walked away. I would advise staying in the main areas not the side streets and never go into the perfumery type shops alone as they will become quite intimidating. At the taxi rank there are many taxi touts offering to find you a taxi with commission on top ie £70 - £7.00 instead of £50 - £5.00 walk away and find your own remembering to always agree the price. I feel the intimation is something the egyptian tourism will have to address in the future as to some people this could spoil their holiday as I know some elderly people preferred to stay at the hotel rather than venture into naama bay and of course this costs more money to eat and drink at the hotel. I would have no hesitation returning to the hotel it really is beautiful and very relaxing with no pestering although I would not want to go back to naama bay.

The Hotel Was Spotless And Not A Problem.
The Resort Entertainment Very Poor.
Beach Was A Good Standard.
I Would Only Consider Returning To This Resort If The Catering Is Brought Up The The 5 Star That It Is Rated At.

Beach - quite busy but the sea is lovely. It is sectioned off into hotel owned areas but you just choose a bit you like and then rent a bed.
Resort - loads of restaurants (also KFC, Mac d's, TGI and Pizza Hut if you are less adventerous)
