Try to get a sea view room overlooking the lovely gardens and sea.
The buffet is excellent and we did not get sick.
Amazing place.

You must upgrade to the best rooms, as all rooms in need of new furniture and decor etc. must have a seaborne or pool view room too.
Charging for wifi in this day and age is disgusting hotels just making money out of you for all extras.

Staff very helpful, good food, rooms very clean. The staff go out of their way to help you day or night. Try the Italian restaurant, it has good steak and you will go back again.

Deluxe & Superior rooms in the main hotel.
Room 1210, spacious and quiet over looking the swimming pool.
Onions is a good restaurant to try, but being on the all inclusive, we did not try, but a lot of guests did.

Even number rooms face the sun, odd number rooms are on the dark side and never see the sun.

This is a Quiet - away from it all Resort. It has a few shops outside of the Hotel - Go-Karts up the road, Supermakets and Pharmacy.
T2 Bar for Sky Sports etc. Within Ten Years I think this will have more outside facilites to cope with all the Holiday makers.
This suited my Family - but not for everyone.

Naama Bay has loads of shops, bars etc and if you can in during the evening you get very little hassle as it is quite busy (even at this time of year)

The hotel was remote - nothing else there unless you caught bus into town. Shop owners were pushy - infact it was easier to buy a stuffed camel and a magic carpet to get out of the shop and be left alone to walk around.
The beach by the hotel was good - dive shoes recommended for non-divers - to protect your feet from the coral.

The resort was ok , but there wasn't very good shopping centers and the sand on the beach was gritty. But we had fun staying in the hotel and by the pool because there was not much else to do, but there was a fabulous water park, Cleo Park i think, it was the best water park i have been to.

We went camel trekking - this was fantastic. But the most amazing experience had to be snorkelling at the Ras Mohammed National Park, the dive staff were so friendly and helpful. The Bedouin Tent experience was terrific as well, it gave you a real taste for true Egypt. In Naama Bay there is loads of choice of places to dine as well as a fantastic night life.

This resort is growing fast - new buildings going up all the way from the airport. We didn't actually go outside the hotel at night - as others said you got hassled a lot by the locals and as we were only there for a week, we just wanted to chill. A must for snorkle fans - is the boat trip to Tiran Island - we went with the guys on the beach Aquarius - the guides spoke great English and were fantastic with the kids - staying with them and showing them the fish while we were with the main group. We could have done that trip every day - worth the money. This resort is wonderful - just like a tropical paradise - would we recommend this hotel and resort to people - ABSOLUTELY, we are looking to book again for next year (and it can't come round soon enough - for 2 weeks this time!)

I'm sure there is a lot written in this category about Sharm so I will not repeat it. I will instead write about something that has annoyed me each time I have been. I have now been to Sharm 3 times and each time the travel operators have failed to give pertinent information with regards to the Visa requirement, resulting in people automatically assuming that they need one and shelling out. If you intend to stay within the area and not travel (for example to Dahab, Cairo, Luxor, St Catherines) then you do not need to purchase a Visa and on your immigration card just write 'Sinai only'. If you do intend to travel out of the area to these places then you need to purchase a Visa at the airport. Face value on the Visa is 15 dollars - be careful how much you pay as on the bus I was on the people were paying varying amounts in sterling, euros and egyptian pounds (with the current exchange rate you are much better off if you can pay in dollars). Be warned that if you decide that you dont need a visa and then change your mind, the only place you can buy them from is the airport.
