Try to get a sea view room overlooking the lovely gardens and sea.
The buffet is excellent and we did not get sick.
Amazing place.

You must upgrade to the best rooms, as all rooms in need of new furniture and decor etc. must have a seaborne or pool view room too.
Charging for wifi in this day and age is disgusting hotels just making money out of you for all extras.

Staff very helpful, good food, rooms very clean. The staff go out of their way to help you day or night. Try the Italian restaurant, it has good steak and you will go back again.

Deluxe & Superior rooms in the main hotel.
Room 1210, spacious and quiet over looking the swimming pool.
Onions is a good restaurant to try, but being on the all inclusive, we did not try, but a lot of guests did.

Even number rooms face the sun, odd number rooms are on the dark side and never see the sun.

This area is an area that is still being developed. Alot of shops and hotels are still being built. Overall though it is a fantastic area and not to much hussle and bussle and one place you can truly relax and unwinde.
The trip to Cairo is a definate and the day boating also well worth just to see more fish and coral
Yes, you do get hassle from some shop keepers trying to get you into there shops, but all you have to say is No Thank you or Just looking then they are fine. You can also haggle to get some real bargains.
Would I go again???? 100% YES.

SHARM ITSELF SEEMED A CLEAN RESORT FROM WHAT WE SAW. THERE IS A LOT OF BUILDING WORK STILL BEING CARRIED OUT.
THERE DOES NOT SEEM TO BE A LOT OF ENTERTAINMENT, THERE IS THE STRIP AT NAAMA BAY BUT THERE IS NOTHING FANTASTIC, THERE IS THE NORMAL SOUVENIR SHOPS AND SOME JEWELLERY STORES ALONG WITH A FEW BARS AND RESTAURANTS.
THE BEACH WHERE WE STAYED WAS A MAN MADE BEACH SMALL IN SIZE AND HAD CORSE SAND. THE BEST PART IS WALKING ONTO THE JETTY WATCHING ALL THE FISH SWIMMING AROUND THE REEF AND IDEAL FOR SNORKELING.
WE WOULD VISIT SHARM AGAIN BUT STAY IN A DIFFERENT HOTEL AND AREA TO WHAT WE WERE IN. THIS IS A GREAT COUNTRY FOR SNORKELING.

The entertainment is excellent.
The private beach is kept clean throughout the day.
I am already planning my next visit for next year.

There are quite a few shopping areas under development, when they are up and running this should make for a thriving resort. However being continualy hastled by taxi's and shop keepers is not my thing but id you do not have a problem with this it's a great place. The water park in Naama Bay is fabulous

The beach is a small caged area and is wall to wall sunbeds you must not go out of this area as the next hotels area is next door. You do get a bar service although this is very limited.

Naama bay is even more Blackpool-like than when we went there about 5 years ago. Great if you like an enormous choice of bars and restaurants, mixed with the hassle of loads of shopkeepers trying to sell you Egyptian tat.
Inevitably, the taxi driver tried to rip us off by doubling the agreed (generous) fare on return to our hotel. Such is life in Egypt.

The resort has a high degree of security which sadly these days in necessary, but they keep it relatively inconspicuous. It is a great place to go diving and many diving boats are seen daily just off the coast. The resort is lovely and clean and probably the cleanest place I have seen in Egypt!
A number of people have commented that entertainment is not very good, but frankly it didn't affect our enjoyment at all as there are plenty of things to do. Nama Bay is a nice place to go and has many excellent shops and eateries. However, getting a taxi back from the town to the hotel can be challenging we found.
All in all, its a lovely place to go with excellent weather and not too long a flight from the UK. We are definitely going to return and may make it a bit of a bolt hole to visit regularly.

Old Sharm and Naama Bay must be my least favourite towns I have ever visited anywhere in the world. We could not get any shopping or even browsing because of the constant hassle from both the shopkeepers and taxi drivers. We couldn't even stop to talk to each other without being literally surrounded by taxi drivers and shopkeepers touting for business and they were extremely rude and insistent. We were not able to buy one solitary item because of this. They must lose millions on sales due to this fact.
