Try to get a sea view room overlooking the lovely gardens and sea.
The buffet is excellent and we did not get sick.
Amazing place.

You must upgrade to the best rooms, as all rooms in need of new furniture and decor etc. must have a seaborne or pool view room too.
Charging for wifi in this day and age is disgusting hotels just making money out of you for all extras.

Staff very helpful, good food, rooms very clean. The staff go out of their way to help you day or night. Try the Italian restaurant, it has good steak and you will go back again.

Room 1210, spacious and quiet over looking the swimming pool.
Onions is a good restaurant to try, but being on the all inclusive, we did not try, but a lot of guests did.
Deluxe & Superior rooms in the main hotel.

Even number rooms face the sun, odd number rooms are on the dark side and never see the sun.

Beaches

The resort does have a few shops and bars but entertainment is mainly hotel based. All ares are clean and the beach is well looked after. The sea and life under it are what the resort is all about.

The area we stayed in was Sharks Bay which did not really have anything except a few other hotels around it but our hotel The Sol Sharm was lovely an very clean indeed. The entertainment was also good. The entertainment staff were really freindly and always up to something to keep you amused. There was also entertainment at night time as well. We only went to see the shows twice but we enjoyed those. We only went to the beach a few times but that was nice too because its private and also has a bar where you can get cold drinks which was nice. We will most definately be going back to Egypt next year an will try to book the same hotel.

Sharm is a amazing place to go.....ive been to a few diff places before but this was so different, the beach was wonderful, and i loved snorkelling and looking at all teh different fish, and even if your like my sister (who doesnt like swimming) then it doesnt matter as you can still experience all the different species of fish!!
I could go on and on....
Would i reccommend this place to a friend....most def!!
Would i go back....without a doubt!!

Sharks Bay very quiet (apart from planes) & relaxing, Namma Bay more 'buzzy'
Bedouin trip very 'touristy' (ie special meal barbie in the desert)& be prepared with small notes as kids hands are constantly out.
Also went on short walk to see 'Sunset over Sinai', be warned its a scramble up rocks & scree so wear proper shoes, was worth it & one guy proposed up there so that made it memorable.
Camels are not very comfortable, but to ride one through the Sinai desert is an achievement.
They film you all day & then sell the DVD (20 english) not the best quality but a not bad keepsake as its not easy holdiing on to a camel & trying to take pictures !!!!!!!!!

The entertainment was rubbish, even though the animation team worked very hard during the day, it is in need of more professional entertainment.
Coral Beach was very good and snorkling brilliant. Food there was not very good.
Didn't think much of the Sandy beach, wasn't much to look at and the noise coming over from the other side of the bay very annoying.

This resort is quite isolated and required a taxi (once experienced never to be forgotten) - ensure that you agree price before you get in and double check it is egyptian pounds not english, my husband agreed 40 pounds egyptian (approx 4 english pounds) but taxi driver insisgted he said 40 english pounds, things got a bit heated but as soon as hotel security appeared the taxi driver shot off.
the beach is shingle/sand and due to the coral in the shallow water you have to walk along a floating pontoon before you can swim as the coral is protected but the sea is beautiful and snorkelling is fantasic.
There is a lot of development going on, we weren't affected in any way by this but it is some what of a shame that in a few years this beautiful place will be full of hotel complexes

The resort itself is quite limiting ,not much for young families ,the beach area is clean and the snorkeling jetty is ideal, also snacks on the beach, in the entertainment catogory , everything revolves around what entertainment the Hotel provides if any at all, in the case of the Savoy none apart from the pianist, if you want a lively resort then Naama Bay is ideal,
we have stayed at this hotel three times now, two on half board , and this one all inclusive , we are just about to book again for september ,that says it all . I think.

You have to use a jetty to snorkel and dive from as the beach coral is protected. Beach was swept every evening.

Resort quite sparce, however, 10 minutes away from Nama Bay
No immediate enertainment - unless you travelled.
Beaches excellent and were guarded by life guards.
Would definitely return.

Found Naama Bay to be a great location for a weeks beach holiday.
Town had everything you needed, loads of restaurants, mostly fish & steak. MacDonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut, TGI, Hard Rock. All reasonably priced, cheaper than UK & the drinks.
Didnt see any nightclubs, would say it was better for couples etc..
Plenty of gift shops, Jewellers (Cheap), shopping mall, pharmacies etc.. We managed to find only 1 supermarket that had price stickers, other than that the prices change whoever you ask.
Bartering is the same for gifts & tours. You will get hassled every 5 yards, nightmare, & also trying to choose where to eat you will get get hassle there too. Sort of ruined going into town, my partner preferred to stay at the hotel, he couldnt put up with it.
Beaches were all private, so you had to pay. A little busy but plenty of watersports & boat trips.
Weather was fantastic.
Would go back but choose hotel carefully for location as some you couldnt walk from.
