Try to get a sea view room overlooking the lovely gardens and sea.
The buffet is excellent and we did not get sick.
Amazing place.

You must upgrade to the best rooms, as all rooms in need of new furniture and decor etc. must have a seaborne or pool view room too.
Charging for wifi in this day and age is disgusting hotels just making money out of you for all extras.

Staff very helpful, good food, rooms very clean. The staff go out of their way to help you day or night. Try the Italian restaurant, it has good steak and you will go back again.

Deluxe & Superior rooms in the main hotel.
Room 1210, spacious and quiet over looking the swimming pool.
Onions is a good restaurant to try, but being on the all inclusive, we did not try, but a lot of guests did.

Even number rooms face the sun, odd number rooms are on the dark side and never see the sun.

Lots of building work going on all around Sharm, so br prepared for that. We found an area called "Fantasia" which is open air and you can have a meal and watch a show and do some shopping - Sat night is the English night, we found it too late so will visit there next time. Not much to do in Sharm itself if you like lots of entertainment, but if you want a nice quiet walk and good food, then it's fine. There is a couple of casino's but we didn't go. Lots of people in the hotel went to Naama Bay, they say it's better in the evening, as during the day you get hassled alot, but then that can happen anywhere.
Have a great holiday, hope this info helps.

The only fault I have (apart from too many rude Russians) is that the hotel is slightly out of the way; Naama Bay is about ½ hour in a taxi or the hotel bus and must nights we went there as the hotel entertainment is not too good. I met a lot of English people who would come again to this hotel, including myself and my husband.

First impressions scruffy. Not so much with litter as unfinished buildings and piles of rubble.
Beach is more like rock and so called private beach was very tiny and not particularly clean. Beach promenade though is fine and nobody bothers you to buy anything.
Being older we didn't venture out in the evenings so can't comment, but other guests appeared to enjoy it.
New shopping complex in Naama Bay is very nice.

Although there isn't anything at this resort (Although there are lots of hotels being built) the hotel had everything you needed.
We didn't really go on the beach as we were quite content with the pools (and also being right on top of the beach we felt you were there anyway) but we did take a walk along it one day. The sand was very grity and someone told us to beware of the big ants in the sand. Our daughter went on the beach with the kids club and had a good time though.
There is a jetty to take you out to the deep water.
We are hopefully going back next year as we throughly enjoyed it.

I have been really impressed with Sharm as a resort. The people are really helpful and friendly, they remember you name and make you feel really welcome.
It can be a bit full on shopping as people want you go to and buy in their shops but once you learn how to say no your ok.
For winter sun without the longhaul flight you could pick a better spot.

We normally go to the Canaries for some winter sun but have found Na'ama bay to be better value for money. The weather is better and it is a lot cheaper to eat out. There is quite a good selection of restaurants from Hard Rock Cafe (which we visited three times) to thai, italian and local cuisine. Be warned though that alcohol is not available everywhere, the bedouin tent cafes only serve shisha pipes and soft drinks.
The resort is very clean and safe, the only down side is people constantly hassling you for taxis. We learnt the phrase 'La shukran' meaning no thankyou very quickly!
The best bar I would recommend is the camel bar, they show sports and music in one bar and on the rooftop there is soft lighting and sofas for relaxing.
Would definately recommend this resort for a week away in the sun as the weather is fantastic and it is good value for money. We went for two weeks but probably one is enough if you are not diving.
If you get the chance fly to Cairo. It costs about £100 for a full day to see the pyramids and National museum, and a shopping trip to the market centre. This was one of the best experiences, bit of a culture shock but well worth the money

The resort is clean and the beaches are excellant. Eating out is reasinable and good quality recommend the Mexican.Go for a cruise the sites are breath taking.Snorkling trips are good even if you have not done it before the guides will help you and not leave your side all the time in the water.

the resort is up and coming and a trip into naama bay is ok but i gaurantee you would not go back because of the constant hassle, this is at night but seem a little more relaxed in the day.there are some nice bars to have a drink and relax and is nice at night all lit up.snorkeling is a must and scuba diving which im addicted to now, also the quads into the dessert is great but put some old gear on because you ruin your clothes and footwear, also go in late afternoon when not has hot.
