Try to get a sea view room overlooking the lovely gardens and sea.
The buffet is excellent and we did not get sick.
Amazing place.

You must upgrade to the best rooms, as all rooms in need of new furniture and decor etc. must have a seaborne or pool view room too.
Charging for wifi in this day and age is disgusting hotels just making money out of you for all extras.

Staff very helpful, good food, rooms very clean. The staff go out of their way to help you day or night. Try the Italian restaurant, it has good steak and you will go back again.

Deluxe & Superior rooms in the main hotel.
Room 1210, spacious and quiet over looking the swimming pool.
Onions is a good restaurant to try, but being on the all inclusive, we did not try, but a lot of guests did.

Even number rooms face the sun, odd number rooms are on the dark side and never see the sun.

Naama Bay was very hot and busy lots of looky-looky boys touting for business, wanting to give you their business cards or wanting you to sign their visitors book. Both ploys to get you in the shops.
A walk down the Prom is well worth it as it is cooler with restaurants and a couple of souks where you can partake of the use of the shiska (hubbly-bubbly pipe). Hard Rock Cafe was worth a visit as is Panarama(not recommended to infirm as it is up a large flight of stairs)
Would recommend flying to Cairo to see Museum and Pyramids(touts will not take no for an answer). Giza is like something like Dodge City with horses and camels roaming the street Flight= £175 through reps. £100 pound in Namma Bay.
Would recommend visitng Sharm when it is cooler quite a few cases of sunstroke.

The hotel is a few kilometers from Naama Bay resort. You could take a blue and white taxi but they are all mad drivers to the extreem. and you get dropped off at the gate, being left to make your own way back to the hotel.
We chose one hotel taxi driver, Mohammed who was a good driver and very quickly knew where we wanted to be. Hotel taxis are a bit more expensive at LE50 (Approx £5) to Naama Bay but worth it for piece of mind and dropped off at the door.
You will be accosted good naturedly every inch of the way in Naama Bay. Tell them "La shukaran" (No thank you) and mean it and they will usually honour your request. In spite of trying to deprive you of as much money as possible they are all friendly and respond to a laugh or a friendly reply.
We went swimming with dolphins in Delta Sharm a short distance from Naama Bay and I would recommend it to anyone. The experience with these highjly intelligent mammels was beyond description.
Sharm is far removed from the old egypt that we have visited twice before. It is solely a tourist centre with all the tourist trappings but we will go back to face them next year.

The Beach was brilliant especially the snorkling best used off the Jettee, the beach itself was mostly pebbles so take some footwear if your walking about. Naama Bay was very lively but shops tend to repeat themselves as they had a jewellery store then, sports then, clothes all of them. Sharm itself was lovely and the views are beautiful and don't mind the people just say 'No thanks' ('La Shukran' in egyptian) and they would leave you alone.

great resort with everything close to hand,5 minute taxi ride to namaa bay an expierance in itself.entertainment is good and you have to join in,the beach is outstanding and we spent hours in the sea just looking at the fish and coral.need to go back very soon, feel a little home sick.this place is 10*+.

Naama Bay was close by and very busy. Lots of shops and bubble pipes and busy in the evenings.

Resort clean but very quiet nothing to do outside of hotel but Naama Bay very lively only ten minutes away in taxi or free shuttle bus.
The St George beach is a good standard were drinks and food are also all inclusive, but not to many fish to be seen here.

We visited Naama Bay briefly but were impressed by its array of shops and restaurants. Very very cheap jewellery dont forget to haggle or you will be ripped off. Half original price then come to an agreement. All very very cheap and great.

The resort is somewhat "under construction" but don't be put off. There are new htels and shops being built and within the next 12 months the resort will be buzzing. I just hope they don't go to far and turn it into Benedorm.

Although the hotel was great it cannot be said for the beach in general.
Very crowded and the music was in competion with the 3 diggers rock drilling at the new hotel. We had to endure 10 hours of drilling for 14 days so could not relax at all.
This was most distressing as we too got a letter from First Choice stating that there would be some noise and was sent 2 weeks before we flew out. We would have arranged a alternative holiday if we had been told much earlier. They had known of the work since March 2006 as advsd by the the rep so waiting for reply from them - so be warned and do check with your booking agent

The beach is just a few mins walk away, loads of sunbeds clean tidy and very well looked after. Beach bar with food. Scuba diving, swimming its a lovely place.
