Try to get a sea view room overlooking the lovely gardens and sea.
The buffet is excellent and we did not get sick.
Amazing place.

You must upgrade to the best rooms, as all rooms in need of new furniture and decor etc. must have a seaborne or pool view room too.
Charging for wifi in this day and age is disgusting hotels just making money out of you for all extras.

Staff very helpful, good food, rooms very clean. The staff go out of their way to help you day or night. Try the Italian restaurant, it has good steak and you will go back again.

Deluxe & Superior rooms in the main hotel.
Room 1210, spacious and quiet over looking the swimming pool.
Onions is a good restaurant to try, but being on the all inclusive, we did not try, but a lot of guests did.

Even number rooms face the sun, odd number rooms are on the dark side and never see the sun.

Shark's Bay is a 20 minute taxi ride to Naama Bay, which is a large, garish and fairly bustling resort with a great beach. You will need to go here for any entertainment you require because apart from other hotels and a supermarket or two there is nothing else in Shark's Bay.

The resort was fine. Plenty to do at night. Beach was really clean.

Sharm el Sheik - desert
hotels
road (filled with manic but fun drivers)
hotels
path
beach
sea
coral (filled with lots of fish)
Our hotel was lovely but you'll not sea Egypt unless you go on excursions, this is a tourist inspired resort, old sharm's not bad, Namma Bay was pushy and plastic - add 100'heat to blackpool with sleaze balls interested in your teenage girls and your money in equal measure and you've got the picture. The snorkling was superb - what an experience, sea sooooo shallow for such a long way out and as soon as you're at the water edge there's tiny fish for the kids to play with - very very salty though, so take lip balm. Our family of 19 did the quad biking, seascope, beduin experience, Old Sharm, Namma Bay and day flight to pyramids, and beach camels between us and only Namma Bay was a dissapointment. Lot's of building going on but not intrusive - quite interesting really the building methods look so slap dash but then they don't have to cope with rain do they and don't think health and safety regs have reached Sharm yet !! The hotel gardens are all awe inspiring every hotel frontage better than our lawn in rainy scotland and gardeners along with all the other staff seem to be constantly on the job. No shortage of taxis, manically driven but by polite and entertaining guys, who are obviously working on their tip from the second you get in the car! Be prepared to tip, wages are low (talk to your taxi driver) and tips are appreciated. Haggling is expected and we were prepared for it but didn't find all shopkeepers were particularly good natured about it - if in doubt politely walk away. lots of men with guns but made us feel quite safe as they're obviously there to protect the tourists not hassel them and they're not shy about keeping the locals in line either ! Great place - don't feel I really saw Egypt, but think we'd go back without the kids to do the whole history and spectacle thing. Couldn't fault the cleanliness of the actual building etc, the streets and surroundings were a bit ropey and where do people go to pee ? Finding a loo is challenging - take anti bacterial hand gel or wipes when out and about. Give it another few years to smooth out the few little kinks there are and this is going to be a fantastic place although possibly huge if all the empty sites are built on !!

Sharm el Sheik is a lovely resort. We stayed within walking distance of Naama Bay and it was nice to be able stroll along the promenade in the evening and sit in one of the cafe bars and people watch.
There isn't much in the way of entertainment but we didn't miss it. It's great for snorkel ling, there are plenty of places to eat and have a quiet drink, and lots of trips to go if you want.
You did get hassled to go into restaurants and shops but a firm no tended to do the trick and people were generally very friendly.

Entertainment is low key but this was fine for us.
You can go over the road to use the sister hotel and disco so you can pick and choose how much you want to do or not do.This is also where the beach is.
You also have use of the hotel courtesy bus to take you into Na'ama bay if you want something a bit more lively.
