Try to get a sea view room overlooking the lovely gardens and sea.
The buffet is excellent and we did not get sick.
Amazing place.

You must upgrade to the best rooms, as all rooms in need of new furniture and decor etc. must have a seaborne or pool view room too.
Charging for wifi in this day and age is disgusting hotels just making money out of you for all extras.

Staff very helpful, good food, rooms very clean. The staff go out of their way to help you day or night. Try the Italian restaurant, it has good steak and you will go back again.

Deluxe & Superior rooms in the main hotel.
Room 1210, spacious and quiet over looking the swimming pool.
Onions is a good restaurant to try, but being on the all inclusive, we did not try, but a lot of guests did.

Even number rooms face the sun, odd number rooms are on the dark side and never see the sun.

Naama bay is full of shops selling tourist tat and is not very scenic, looks much better at night. There are lots of bars and eating places. The Hard Rock Café is a pleasant place but our meal was only poor. There is some hassle but anyone who has been to Turkey or Morocco will no what to expect.Access to the beach is severly restricted as most of the easily accessible sections are hotel private beaches.
The main road outside the Coral Sea hotel is a building site with hotels and shopping centers being built along its length but nothing can be seen or heard from within the hotel. Turning right out of the hotel there is nothing of interest. Turn left and there are two supermarkets and two shopping centers one with a café outside the LTI Grand Azure.

nama bay has lots to offer with lots of shops and local bars, restuarants. the prices in the shops start of high and you have to haggle with the locals sometimes this can be a pain and you will get hassle from the locals to look in their shops but overall we found people to be very friendly.

like a lot of this area of Sharm there is a lot of building going on and so the area is like a big building site once outside the hotel gates. there is nothing in this area of Sharm (Nabq) apart from a 24hr supermarket. The beach though is not to bad at all apart from the fact that there are no shops anywhere in case you want/need something.

The resort on the whole is very impressive Sharm has very high standard with all its hotels.
The animation staff work very hard day and night, don,t expect 5* entertainment they do try.
There's not really a beach at this hotel, but you can see the coral and the fish from the walkway.
We didn't dive or snorkel, but it was good to see the fish from above.

We went to Naama Bay twice at night.
Found it a bit commercialised.
We also kept in the middle of the road when walking as we got fed up with being hassled by the shisha and restaurant people.
But it was a nice resort and would go again.

We went into naama bay a few times you do get alot of hassle near the taxi rank but once past this bit it does calm down. There are plenty are shops alot selling copys of designers.
Entertainment is based around hard rock cafe, camel bar and pacha im sure there will be more bars in the future.
We found that alot of people from our hotel would go in for a hour or so then return to the hotel.

We stayed in Nabq a short distance from Nama Bay at the Coral Sea resort. In the area there is quite a bit of building work which did not affect us unduly. It is about a 20 minute journey into Nama Bay for those who want more shopping and night life. Although, being all-inclusive we did not use them there are also some very good restaurant and bars there and the Pacha disco. There is a bigger shopping experience in Old Sharm where which has a large shopping and market area where the basrgains are to be really found. If swimming in the sea diving shoes are recommended due to coral and rocks and can be purchased cheaply (approx £3) in Old Sharm. Although Nabq itself is an up and coming resort and a little way out at the moment Nama bay is easily accessible by local courtesy buses run by most hotels or local taxis which both prove reasonably priced. Do agree a price with the taxi driver before you go. The courtesy bus from our hotel was just £1 per person each way and could be booked in reception in advance.
We are planning to return to this area next year as it seemed to meet all of our needs - as quiet or as lively as you want it.

Naam Bay
You can walk to Naam bay in 10 minutes. Cross the 4 lane dual carriageway and be careful at nights as the drivers do not use headlights. Go through the Marriot beach hotel towards the beach. Take a right turn and keep on walking. Naam Bay is 10 mins walk. There are many, many restaurants all selling food ranging from steaks to pizzas. The food is very cheap, an average meal for 2 people approximately £10. However a point to look out for is there is a 12% service charge and 10% tax on top of your total cost, so bear this in mind when you pay your bill. It is however still very cheap to eat and drink.
I took only UK money and changed this when needed in the ABC bank outside the hotel. The bank was open every day until approx 10pm in the evening.
Cairo
We didn’t book our trip with Thomas Cook as we deemed it too expensive. In Naam bay there were a few places advertising a day trip to Cairo, whether you wanted to go by plane or coach. We chose the latter and paid £32 each. The cost of the trip included the following:
Coach trip return
Local tour Guide
Entry into Egyptian Museum (normal cost £5)
Mini boat trip on the nile. Approx 45 mins (normal cost £3)
Lunch at the pyramids
Entry into the Sphinx (normal price 50p)
The coach departed from our hotel on the Monday morning 0130am. We were picked up from the hotel in a minvan then taken to sharm market where all the people going to Cairo are taken from the hotels and met there. We were then transferred to a coach, which had toilet facilities onboard should you need them. We also had on board a n Egyptian tour rep and two security staff. We left at approx 2.30am and arrived in Cairo at 9am stopping on the way to eat breakfast for which you are advised to ask your hotel to give you a takeout breakfast.
On arrival in Cairo at approx 9am we were taken straight to the Egyptian Museum where we were met by another guide for Cairo. We spent 2 hours in the museum where we were shown around many artefacts. However there were so many we were informed it would take you about 3 weeks to see everything.
On leaving the Museum we were taken to the nile for a 45 min boat trip. After that it was back on the coach straight to Giza where we had the choice of a buffet meal. The view from the restaurant was amazing right in front of us were the pyramids. After lunch we were taken to the pyramids and our guide gave us a quick talk on them before we had approx 45 mins at each pyramid. We did not go inside the pyramids as time unfortunately did not allow this. We finished at the Sphinx as the place closes at 4pm. We were then taken 200 yards to a perfume demonstration for approx 30mins. There was no obligation to buy but it was interesting nontheless. After that we were back on the coach and then taken to a shop which demonstrated how the Egyptians used to make paper from the papyrus plant. Again this was informal and there was no pressure to buy anything.
We departed Cairo at 6.30pm back to Sharm. Unfortunatley on the way back there was an accident involving 9 cars, we were stuck in traffic for about 90 mins. We arrived back at sharm 02.30 am.
Overall the trip was amazing and well worth the money. I would like to say that I do not think the coach trip would be suitable for families with young children.
Hard Rock Café
We went to the HRC and was pleasantly surprised how cheap it was. A cheeseburger and chips for example was 27LE approx £2.50. Beer was approx 19LE approx £1.70
Beach bars
There are a couple of beach bars that offer 2 for one drinks from 5-8pm This was great value for money.
I would definitely visit Sharm again and I live on the holiday island of ibiza.

Hard rock is wicked and the Taverne is good.
The pestering by the taxi drivers and the locals perving is the most annoying thing.

The resort is so big, but does not feel crowded there was always room on the beach and you could always get asunbed near the pool. The snokelling in the sea off the jetty was brilliant we all went to do it, the fish you see there are great, so many. The water is like stepping into a bath. But you do need water shoes as there is coral and without them you won't get very far. we took our own mask, snorkel and water shoes but they are really cheap there and if you want you can hire them. The is so much too do, Na'ama Bay isn't far and is an experience, they will try every trick in the book to get you into their shops!! Just say no thanks and keep walking! We met so many people who had returned for a second or third time, I can understand why!
