There is no entertainment to comment on but there is so much on offer nearby but I would give a big thumbs up to the Alexandros Taverna left along the beach with beautiful bay view and fantastic food and service.

Ask for a room at the rear of the property otherwise you will be disturbed by road and bar noise.
Nikos Taverna - lovely hosts and good food.

The resort was qiet and ideal for couples or for anyone going on holiday to relax.
We ate and drunk in numerous reteraunts and bars we particularly enjoyed the traditional service at the Mary taverna and the food was reasonably priced, but be prepared to wait for your meal, we made good friends with the bar staff at the Roda Taverna where we enjoyed friendly banter and lots of Sambuca we would recommend making a visit to this bar if you stay in Roda.
We would advise people to be cautious when booking trips from the travel agencies that are situated all around the resort as what is advertised is not always what you get.
We enjoyed a stroll around the resort most evenings taking in the evening scenery and the sea breeze.

Roda is great for a family holiday, plently of good eating place at competative prices. Would consider going back next year.

Roda really is a place for familys, a lot of well run restaurants like the Compass(great pizza and spag bol)everything is priced and 5 euro and the house wine is not bad either. If you like grilled chicken and kebabs visiting the Drosia is a must - great value for money. If you like a hearty breakfast and believe me it will set you up for the day visit Maggies fantastic place again great hospitality.

Roda is great if you want a relaxed holiday, there are a few pubs & bars & plenty of restaurants to choose from, the best being The Roda Park & Maggies.
The beach seemed very clean but the sea is very salty & very shallow so you seem to go a long way out before you can swim.

Roda is a very British resort with lots of British themed restaurants and bars and even a British shop where you can buy fray bentos pies if that is your want. It is however pleasant enough especially for families but don't go there if you want a truly Greek experience!
There are plenty of decent tavernas and bars and there is also a nightclub based at the crossroads as you turn into the town from the main road between Sidari and Acharavi. Our favourite restaurant was the Odysseus which served decent home cooked food that was more or less Greek, at a reasonable price. The Dolphin is also very good if large portions are what are needed and their fish is excellent and not at all expensive.
The beach is sandy/shingle...the sand is brought in at the start of every season and you can rent two beds and a parasol for about 8 euros. The beach is clean as is the water and it is safe for children.
For travel/excursion agents I would recommend the agent that is based on the corner of the junction where the 'old town' road meets the main road, at the top of the triangle. If you book with any local agent for Hydropolis, the water park just down the road in Acharavi, you get free transport there and back. It's only a small water park but children under 12 will love it.
I would not recommend Cap'n George's 'dream' Cruises. My four year old shot straight from the hip and told the Cap'n that he and his cruise was a nightmare. They tout for business just outside the Roda Inn. It's a small boat and they cram it to capacity, which makes for an uncomfortable trip especially if you are going into Corfu Town. We experienced a force 6 storm whilst on this tiny boat and it was only then we discovered that they did not have any life jackets for children on board. When the boat is small and the sea is only a few inches from your finger tips when it is calm, it is no joke when the boat is being rolled from sea to sky with every wave that hits. I had nightmares for weeks afterwards.
Children are well catered for with most restaurants offering high chairs and not minding in the least when a JCB is needed afterwards to scrape the food up from the floor :-) Most bars tend to have big screens which are well utilised for family films when the football isn't on. Some also keep a stock of games and paper and pens, which is a nice touch.
If you want a good value snack or sandwiches at lunchtime, try The Korner. It is on the road just behind the beach about half way along.
It is fairly easy to tour from Roda even by public transport. Kassiopi is 15 minutes drive and Sidari, just 10. Corfu town is an hour away and the big water park about the same. The local countryside is quite pretty if you are into walking or riding.
One final point, Roda is incredibly cheap compared with the rest of Corfu, including Acharavi, which is just 5 minutes up the road.

Roda is lovely, there was no rubbish to be seen and friendly locals, there was never any trouble and the scenery was beautiful.
The beach was always clean and there was a great sea front to walk along. The only complaint I had was some of the locals (well 2) acted like wallies at night time, one had a honda firebalde and rode around like a maniac and it could have been dangerous and there was another in a mark 4 golf gti, considering it was a new car it was back firing and he was revving it to death and wheel spinning it every where and they both put you off your quiet night out when they come flying past! but otherwise it was fab!!
Oh and why oh why did the greeks put a phone box next to a bar that played music so loud that you cant hear a thing!! Not a comlaint just puzzled!!! But visit Roda there is something for everyone!!
