not a very scenic place,lots of mountains and unfinished buildings.. You take your life in your hands having a stroll along the strips (stalis and malia) due to the scooters,quad bikes,coaches and cars. lots of fake goods for sale if your into that. after 1 week we decided it was safer to stay in our hotel at night rather than get flatened as there are no footpaths. hotel anastasia made the 2 week stay worth while,other than that we were using our spending money to get home ASAP. lots of love to Micheal,You have a fantastic hotel.xx

The resort was spotlessly clean. Lots of entertainment on offer right in the main area of the resort. Quite expensive at the moment with most places charging 2 euro for 0.5 lt. Supermarkets are expensive as well with a tin of peas at 1.98 euro, eggs at 1.40 for 6. and a tin of baked beans at 1.40 euro. the local trips were quite dear too, and a ride on the Happy Train was 10 euro for an hour run to Malia and back. The train can be caught outside the KODAK shop on the main street in Stalis (near a restaurant called Maria's), and is quite uncomfortable to sit on !.

Plenty of bars and restaurants on the main street, however there are no pavements to speak of and it can be quite busy with quads and coaches. Plenty of shops too and the beaches are lovely and clean. Very friendly resort.

resort cleanliness,leaves quite a lot to be desired,very grotty,spent two weeks here and never saw any of the streets or roads being cleaned,by anyone.
resort entertainment,if you like really loud music blasted out from nearly every establishment this is the place for you.if you want live entertainment i suggest you look elsewhere.
beach standard,if one can call a few hundred yards of sand a beach,and wall to wall deck chairs,then this is the ideal location for you,and you are welcome to all of this.

The resort is kept resonably clean, Entertainment of all types can be found here from Karaoke to live music. Thankfully you do not have the situation where each venue is trying to outdo the other with noise levels. there are numerous beaches all blue flag. This was our second visit and we are looking to go back next year.

went into stalis most nights,lots of bars restaurants gift shops etc .the only downside is the lack of pavements rather busy with cars,quad bikes and alike,but still a nice way to walk off your dinner.went into malia did not rate it so did not return.cant comment too much on the beach as we used the hotel pools,but we hired a car and went to various other beaches.

The beach was nice apart from there was rubbish on the beach,there was some water sports ,the entertainment in Stalis was,nt very Greek more like a sunny greek Blackpool,you got harrished every night to eat in there restorants,just felt like we were were getting harrashed everynight.The food was not very good apart from a chinese we went for.Me and my family have been to Greece before but we will never go again.

stalis has lots of bars and restrants you can eat greek, english, chiense, indian ect plent of chioce you can have a quiet night or a lively night. ideal for familys and couple. if you are looking for a all male or girls holiday with plenty of bars and clubs you want malia.

We found Stalis to be reasonably clean although we did notice many over-spilling rubbish bins but generally it was ok and we did see several street cleaners about.
As for entertainment there was plenty about if you wanted it. At night we would go for a nice meal and can highly reccommend Maria's, Hellas and especially 9 Muses.
The beach was clean, very busy and with plenty of watersports.
