Lassi is a small resort taking just 10 mins to walk from one end to the other, ideal for us it is what we liked, The capital Argostoli is just another 5 mins walk from ther onwards or 5 euros in a taxi. Plenty of place's to eat Zorbas at the bottom of the hill well to many to mention, we never had a bad meal all the time we were there.

lots of lovely coves, beachesa and villages, lots of space and greenery the best greek island Ive visited. Has to be explored. We will return but unfortunaly not back to Liberatos Village and only because of the lack of customer focus/consideration.

Lassi is a good base from which to explore the island. It's a great place for people who like a relaxed atmosphere, but if you like nightclubs and disco's you'll be disappointed as you won't find these in Lassi. There's no shortage of good restaurants and bars and Sirtaki Taverna is great, they do some lovely traditional dishes and make you feel very welcome.
There are plenty of supermarkets and they do vary in price, we found that Vagellati Supermarket was the cheapest.
Argostoli is an easy 10 - 15 minutes walk away and you can always get a taxi back if you can't face the return walk. The best time to go to Argostoli is either in the morning or evening after 6 as the shops close for a siesta in the afternoon. If you fancy a day out there are plenty of agents offering day trips all over the island and these are quite reasonably priced. Car hire is also available in lassi.
The beaches are all good, but if you don't fancy toasting yourself in amongst the crowds, you can always take a walk past the Dolphin Supermarket and follow the Fanari road past the famous Theodore lighthouse and the old water mill, and then on towards Argostoli, the scenery is fantastic and there are loads of little coves and beaches along the way.

The beach is just a short walk down a track, is clean with crystal clear water. The many restaraunts all offer good value and Argostoli - the capital - is just a 5 minute 6 euro taxi ride away. Lixouri can be reached from here via the little ferry for about 2 euros and offers some lovely harbourside restaraunts, square and cheaper shopping than the capital. Would we return? Already booked next July!!!

The resort in Lassi is just ideal for chilling with plenty of restaurants and bars along the strip, no same sexed groups just couples & families. All the bars have music and large t.v.'s which was great for Euro 2008 finals. It is one of the safest places to holiday with the crime rate non-existant.Beaches about 15-20 min walk but well worth it for beach lovers with soft sand and crystal clear waters. All in all would definately recommend this hotel & especially this resort.

The resort was very clean but Lassi lacks any character as it was developed,I believe, purely as a holiday resort and the only contact you have with 'locals' is with those who own the supermarkets/restaurants...but this is probably par for the course with most package holidays. For people interested in walking, if you go to Sami go to the Tourist office & pick up the brochure on the walk from Sami to a beautiful beach along the coast from Sami (can't remember the name)- we did this and it was brilliant - a big climb but well worth it.

we found the resort of lassi to be a pretty unspoilt place with lovely golden sandy beaches which although narrow quite long, the sea was clean and it was nice to sit on the sand and for the beaches not to be covered entirely by sunbeds. there were a few watersports but not too many to make it too noisy. the restaurant were of a good standard but not quite as traditionally greek as we expected, quite a lot of frozen veg and chips served and most had exactly the same menu this was the only disappointing thing. We didnt have any trouble with insects or tummy trouble had a really relaxing break. would recommend to people looking for lazy days on the beach and lazy nights in a taverna a good place for a romantic getaway.

Lassi was lovely with many nice beaches, easy transfer of 10 mins and Argostoli 20 min walk. Found things very expensive due to rise of euro against pound, beer 3.5 euro, main course average of 10 euro and soft drinks 2 euro.
Hired car from Pefonis near hotel haggled them down to 40 euros for a/c car for one day which was well worth doing. Etam hire further in town were 32 per day but Pefonis were recommended by rep and have all insurances. Would recommend Fiskardo, Myrtos Beach and Agious Georgious Castle for a visit.
Eating out was great and it is worth checking which nights the restaurants have the entertainment on and using them on that night. Our favourite was Nefeli and Phaedra by far. Sirtaki and Sto Psito were also good. I was not impressed with Oskars or Zorbas.
As I mentioned earlier prices have increased considerably, whilst on the way to Sami just outside Argostoli there is a Lidl store, prices are dramatically lower than inside resort and I would definitely have shopped there in hindsight as long as you have a car.
All in all nice place and would go back at right price.

Lassi has many very good restaurants and tavernas. We never had a bad meal. Recommend The Chinese Dragon, China House, Nefalis and Zorbas.
There are no actual shops here but the supermarkets sell all sorts of things and are open till afyer midnight.
Taxis are plentiful, costing 6 euros to go to the capital Argostoli.
There are the usual trips from here. The coach tour of the North and the South are very good.
Everything very expensive with food prices in tavernas even greater than in the UK.
