A resort that caters for every age group. Yes, if you want loud music and packed bars, go to bar street, however, if you want the laid back Greek style there is more than enough to offer. At the far end of the resort is a beach called bananna beach, only 20 sunbeds (approx) and a bar behind called bananna beach bar run by an English couple, Paul & Carol. By day, a good selection of English food is served till approx 16.30hrs. as the evening comes alive, the bar turns into a relaxed and friendly bar overlooking the Agean sea to Turkey. Many a night has been spent there with an old time sing along. On a 14 night break we will eat at Romanos resturant at least every other night. The food is always excellent and well priced (approx 25 euros for two people plus drinks) very friendly family run resturant overlooking the harbour. Pelagus and Captins are also very good resturants. All in all, an excellent resort for all ages. You just need to find what you want and you can in Kardamena. The locals are all friendly and love to chat. Katerina rent a car offers very clean, well serviced cars at a resonable price, be aware of companys offering cheap cars/motorbikes for hire, you may not stop when you brake! Please try this resort for yourselves, i love it and would move here if i could. Will be going 3 times in 2012. Maybe see you there.

Resort is very nice, the beach (smaller one) is lovely and you can use the sunbeds for free if you eat in the restaurants. There are some lovely places to eat...Captain's on the harbour side being the best. My boyfriend can't rate the steak any higher and I had swordfish and lots of other foods there which were all perfect!
The weird thing is that at 12 the bars turn the music off as it is otherwise illegal. You may find a couple of bars still play music, but the majority don't. The Starlight and Status were really good.
Everyone in resort seemed really friendly. I recommend Manos car hire as great customer service and very helpful. If you hire a car, go to Magic beach...the best beach in Kos for sure! And if you go to Zia at night make sure you get there early to watch the sunset and to make sure you get a nice table!
Overall, I would defo go back to Kardamena.

Kardamena needs a serious facelift. The Euro is killing it. Everything expensive compared to , say , Spain and Portugal. Kos Town still thriving and they are reaping the benefit of the slow death of this place.

the people of this resort are both friendly and very helpful lost of nice bars and eating places. pete and dawn from the dolfin bar are great and very helpful, veronica from manos car rentals is again very good we hired a jimny jeep very clean and well looked after. Paradise beach is a must long white sand clear water fab. fab. fab.

The beach is great and there are plenty of bars. And if your looking for nice food head to Pelagos near the harbour...fantastic food and nice staff, they dont hassle you to go in. Also would recomened the 4 bay cruise 20euro for a fab day out!

Karamena is a village suited to youngsters, families, older people and single people like myself. The resort is reasonably clean and looked after. There are lots of little shops during the day/evening and wonderful restaurants mainly along the sea front edge open lunchtimes through to evening. There are boat trips to Nysiros, Paradise Beach etc run by experienced crews and the beaches in the resort are lovely, however they do become packed. You can walk a little way out of the village and find other not so populated beaches which are just as lovely. Highly recommended.

did not go into kardemina much its a young persons dream resort in the evening with plenty of bars and clubs.. but if you want a boat trip there was a lovely english couple with a boat called zeus, hired it for the day and had the best time ever thanks to andy and carole.

resort very quiet due to time of year, however this made it a pleasure in that the locals seemed to have more time to talk and generally pass the time of day with you. Resort had plenty of bars/restaurants to cater for every taste and there are nightclubs, not open whilst we were there, available for those heading to this resort later in the season. The resort is just large enough to be able to walk it's full length in 30mins or so. Not all beaches are of a decent standard however a few mins walk will reward you with pleasant beaches and views. We would definately visit this resort again.

Close to all the bars and the beach is only a short walk which was clean around the sunloungers (all 5 euros each)
