I wouldn't rate this as 5* though, a good 3* I'd say but the entertainment for children and meals make up for the lack of fancy decor!!
The meals are buffet style and there are 3 sittings, breakfast is 6.30 until 10 and there is a really wide choice, cereal, croissants, pancakes, fry ups etc. The main meals of a night are just as good, the choice is really good, even though the same options are served every night there is so much choice that you could have a different meal every day. We also visited the chinese restaurant and it was lovely, nice and peaceful and the staff are excellent.
All in all I would recommend this hotel to families with children, it can get a bit boring if it's just adults unless you want to travel into Kos town which is ten mins bus/car ride. The hotel is set on a huge complex but it is quite far away from everything else so if you're after a lively holiday and are over 12 years this really isn't the hotel for you.
The best family hotel we've been to, Thanks for a nice time.

Oh note: people from kos seemed the be quite rude, dont take affence to much, although they do mean it. Oh and if you of an ethnic minority add at least 40mins for your journey time to your hotel because you will be asked at the airport to take part in a "Random" search which involves them checking your luggage and person! dont let it ruin your holiday thou. We just laughed it off in the end!

Our room was spotless, the food choice was very well though out and fresh, the staff (in all areas) work themselves to the bone and despite that, are courteous at all times.
If you have children then I would highly recommend this, as the entertainment is centered around them, even the shyest of children enjoyed themselves.
Just a few tips, let your bathwater out slowly to prevent overflow from the drains, if you require a quiet drink then go to the adult bar, and wear loads of suntan cream as it is very hot there.
Kardamena was fantastic, hire a quad bike, it coast us 25 Euro's for the whole day so you can have one each, and explore the island. The ringos (water sports) are so much fun, but wear goggles.
All in all we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend it to all age groups. It is however classed as a 5*, but I would suggest that 4* rating is more appropriate. Have a great time!!

Food was OK considering it was such a large hotel and they had a lot to cater for but there was only snacks available on the beach and that was only hot dogs and doughnut's but the latter was only available eveyother day.
The hotel was a bit far from the main town but there was a free bus and taxi's are not that expensive anyway.
As for the hotel staff, during the week I was there I was threatened, tutted at made, to feel very awquard and the children were told not to return to the bar as they had already asked for two drinks. I have been to other Greek island and the people could not be more helpful, unfortunatly it was not the case in Kos.
The entertainment was very basic and not great but they did their best.
In a nut shell I would never go back to the Norida

The hotel food may be described as a bit repetitive however there was suffucient choice that this did not bother us too much. In fact it can be quite difficult to eat 3 meals every single day of the holiday without feeling fed up with eating. During our stay we definitely enjoyed the Chinese Restaraunt however be aware this is extremely popular and you need to be in reception by 7.30a.m. to stand a chance of booking a table.
The location of the rooms away from the main hotel are up a steep incline and would be a problem for some people, however we preferred this option as staying in the main part of the hotel can be noisey as people are arriving 24/7.
We did not find any of the staff rude, in fact they were very pleasent especially when you consider the extremely long hours that they work and the fact that the resort is "All inclusive" therefore hardly anyone
tips. I found if you tipped a few times at the bar this certainly improved the level of service.....
The entertainment was definitely aimed at the children and was exactly what we were looking for and "boy" did the animation staff work hard. For this they need a special mention as this definitely made our holiday

The hotel is def not a 5 star I would rate it as a 3 star. I would never go back to this hotel there was a foul smell by the bar which put me off drinking there. One good thing about the place was the food apart from the chinease restuarant it was vile!
The reps were a total waste of space. would not advise anyone to stay in any of the mitsis hotels.

The hotel does have a minibus, but who wants to rely on, and wait for that all the time. We were put in the "Heavens" upon our arrival at the top of said Cardiac Hill, even though we specified at the time of booking that I am partially disabled.
The staff were excellent however and moved us to a much more accessible room in the main hotel without delay.
The food was pretty good, especially lunch in the Taverna overlooking the beach, also the Chinese restaurant was "just passable" for a change.
Biggest let-down of all however was NO BACON at breakfast. (not that I needed a cooked breakfast really anyway) esp. with all the other goodies on offer at dinner.
Four pools (One ADULT only) made for ample sunbathing/pool bathing, also pleasant shingle beach with happy cordial atmosphere. The ADULTS ONLY bar was a pleasant feature also. Not everyone wants kids (esp. other peoples ) running round knocking drinks over all the time.
Overall a pleasant enough stay, but not enough to encourage me to go back again.

I really cant think of anything bad about this hotel or resort.
The room we had was fantastic (one of the bungalows), it had plenty of space including to complete bathrooms exactly what you need with a family of 4, my children were 3 and 7 and had the time and had the of there lives, the staff especially the amatation team were brilliant to say the least although you did get the occasional mooding barmen but the long hours they work you can understand this.
The pools were lovely and clean as was the beach.
The restaurants catered for all tastes and the chefs were really friendly as well.

The entertainment team were brilliant! Louis, Nemo, Max, but especially Tornado who made a fuss of the whole family, those who were still there from last year remembered us and made areal fuss.
Had a new room that was being built last year and it was definitely 5* gorgeous! everything about the hotel is fab,
The food is delicious and the hotel is beautiful. Wish I was there now doing the club dance on the beach or playing darts with Max.
All in all the best hotel I have ever been to and I have been to a lot, I just hope the Arina Sands in Crete is half as good because that is where we are going next year!
