The food was good, always something to eat even for the fussiest person, my youngest ate pasta most days. The staff were brilliant, everybody told us how friendly the Greeks were and that they liked children, this is so true, all the staff always spoke to my youngest.
The lady who greated us everytime we went into the Restaurant was especially nice, always happy and seemed genuinely pleased to see us.
The entertainment team were great, Gunther who was the entertainment manager was brilliant as was Lorenzo, I have never seen everyone get up and go the club dance as they did the week we were there.
Beach was good but take good beach shoes as the shingle gets very hot. We would definitely go back.

The hotel was very clean and always tidy, but no way was this a 5* hotel more like a 3.5*.The room was very
clean and tidy and was serviced every day with clean towels and change of sheets.
Food
Quite frankly the food lacked imagination and on 9 out 10 occasions the food was luke warm or worse still, cold. Not what I would call 5* food form a so called 5* hotel. My 11 year old son ate mainly the pasta (main meal times) and the pancakes for breakfast. And oh yes sometimes it was you against the flies to get to the food first VERY off putting.
Location
What is it they say, "Location Location Location" well this hotel hasn't got one.The hotel is in a remote location with little or nothing to do in Kiotari.
The beach, well it's not what I would call a beach there's NO sand, it's sharp shingle, not kind to your feet and as you get near the water this turns into large pebbles. There are no wooden walkways to the sea and with the hot sun it makes it all but impossible to walk on. You will need to invest in a pair of beach shoes/flip flops. If you not good a walking or you have a disability getting onto the beach will prove to be very difficult or impossible. If you have a child in a buggie then just stay at the hotel pool.
Staff
Staff were friendly most of the time and were always very smart. But I would say that the reception staff need to do a lot better. Staff a the bars, well there needs to be more of them. The hotel the hotel wasn't busy but had to wait for long periods to get a drink .I would hate to think what it's like when the hotel is full (could die of thirst).
The drinks always seemed to be cheap local blends and not premium brands and don't even get me onto the mixers or so called soft drinks.
Will they see me next year I don't think so

Thankfully we are all young and fit but this hotel is not suitable for people who are unable to walk long distances or up steep hills. On arrival to our room, we discovered that we had been put in to what we later discovered were the staff annexes (where the hotel staff board). The rooms were appalling with a smashed balcony door, mouldy wall and bath, the telephone and wires were hanging out of the wall, the air conditioning didn't work and the beds had been crammed in making it nearly impossible to get up at night without causing your self an injury.
Worst of all, we thought we had purchased a 5* all inclusive holiday, we fully understood that 5* in Greece is obviously not like the 5* in the UK, but for what we had paid for the standard was abominable.
We had been informed prior to booking that we could have 2 x family rooms that comfortably sleep four. This was our preference, although not to cut costs as we still paid the same amount each (

Only a short walk to the beach across a bridge and through the neighbouring hotels grounds to the beach. The beach is coarse sand and shingle so you need beach shoes. Once in the sea there are lots of fish even at ankle depth. Always seem to be sun loungers free although hotel was fully booked.
Food was perfectly adequate, although not the most vegetarian friendly place on earth I always found something even though I'm the fussiest eater ever born.
Rooms were a good size and very clean. The maid made the bed each day and changed the towels. Never a queue at any of the bars and some good cocktails are included. There are three outdoor pools and one indoor and they did not become overcrowded.

The first time I stayed in Rodos Village was in October 2000 and I loved the hotel from my first visit on. After these great holidays my family and I kept going there every year.
We really like the nice beach and the refreshing blue ocean. Moreover you get a nice tan there.
The food in the restaurant is very good and in the pizzeria at the top pool as well. The rooms are very comfortable and big. Having a room to the seaside is awesome because of the wonderful view.
You are able to do many sport activities
( beach volleyball, beach soccer, surfing, tennis, stretching, jetski, waterski, darts, watergym, waterpolo etc. ).
Moreover the animation team is doing a great job during the daytime and the nighttime. Playing cocktail games and doing sports at the pool and on the beach. If you don't like animation every day you can go to one of the top pools to relax because animation is just on the bottom pool. The night animation with shows, mini disco, bingo or tombola and adult disco is fun for everyone.
The last time I was there was in June 2006 and they had the best animation team ever. I am so excited to be able to watch the night entertainment again this October. It's going to be the seventh time for me visiting the hotel.
I can't say anything bad about the hotel. I've read many times on this page that the staff were rude. I really can't agree with that. We never had any problems with the staff and everybody knows that 5 stars hotel in the Mediterranean can't be compared to a 5 stars hotel in Britain, Germany or Austria. I can tell you that the hotel never disappointed me.
One last hint: Don't just stay at the hotel the whole time. Go on some trips. Rhodes is very pretty and exciting to discover.

The food left a lot to be desired, the meat was cheap cuts and the variety was poor, the veggies and salads were ok.
Queuing was a problem towards the end of the week when the hotel was busier. The pools were good but there was a foot bridge and 400 yard walk to get to the beach, there was no mention of this in the brochure.
The staff were friendly and the animation team worked hard, they didn't pester you and the kids seemed to enjoy the entertainment. There was windsurfing paragliding and waterskiing at a charge.

The buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner were all excellent with loads of choice.
If you want a change from the buffet style meal at lunch time or dinner time you can book the restaurant near the top pool and have waiter service - the food there was also very nice.
It was a bonus having the beach bar for snacks, drinks and ice-cream (which was in on the ai deal).
The staff were all very smart and helpful.
The entertainment group did try there best, if you didn't want to join in the day activities at the bottom pool you just needed to go up to the top pool but it is quite a climb!
The only down side to the hotel was the shower, it was not very good and the water was often coolish.
The sunbeds at the pool were always taken by the time we arrived or should I say booked by towels, it was annoying if people didn't appear to use them.
I would go back to this hotel, it was lovely for a nice relaxing, chill week.

Staff were friendly at all times!.
Entertainment staff were very good, made every effort to get to know their clients. Especially Lorenzo! a absolute star, he even got my husband playing volleyball!
Food was not very appetising, cheap cuts meat, lucky if you got two small pieces for main meal. Got feedup by end of week with selection of food.
Bar staff were very good, tried to please even though they only had one choice of beer to offer!! and no option to purchase other than All Inc. offers. Good bar directly adjacent to hotel, we had a very good evening with entertainment as well as the company we were with.

Four bars altogether and snacks available all day including Greek salads and fruit.
The food available for lunch and dinner was fine. A wide range of pasta dishes, salads, meats (being grilled in front of you, fish dishes, vegetables etc etc. There were probably around 15 different desserts on offer. There was a wide range for breakfast as well. Our kids tried most things. Again like other people have said - if you are pie and chips people and your kids just eat chicken nuggets then you'll not like the food!
Entertainment was the first I have seen where they have got almost all of the audience to participate.
The drinks were definitely not watered down at all!!
We drink a variety of wine and enjoyed the red, white and rose!
There is an outside 'lounge' as well as other area to enjoy a drink if you don't want to watch the entertainment, as well as a games room.
The hotel has a nice gym and beauticians - even its own amphitheatre although there was nothing happening in it while we were there.
The rooms were cleaned/towels changed/sheets changed everyday. The maid would even tidy up for us as well.
We found all the staff, including reception really friendly.
Straight across the road are 2 supermarkets, a jewellers, a couple of restaurants and a bar and a couple of car hire. A five minute walk away is a complex of shops with supermarket, bar, caf
