I stayed at the hotel for one week in possibly the most busiest week of the season. we stayed all inclusive, i found the food to be great always well cooked, always hot and the desserts to be amazing. Although the fod was great there is no variety same old same old. All food tends to look the same and i would go as far to say as taste the same. Drinks not bad all tasted the same again me and my family gave the juice a name 'mystery juice'. Whether you ask for orange, pineapple, grapefruit you will get this one juice. (also i will tell you all of the juices are cordials and they mix them up with there own tap water, not goood for your stomachs.
All round the hotel was clean and tidy. although round the pool the glasses were left for quite a while, that can be dangerous.
The location of the hotel is very much isolated but found that fine. With the exception of a few small tavernas and bars and two small tourist shops opposite there is not much. If you are looking for nightlife Kiotari is not what you want!.
We had no problems at all with the hotel staff. Receptionists spoke good english and were as helpfull as they could be. Waiters again pleasent, along iwth cleaners, gardeners and maids. I will mention the shop in the hotel is rediculously expensive compared to the two others across from the hotel. It is well worth walking the extra 5 mins to them.
The entertainment in this hotel is awful unless you are under ten. The team were always pleasent and always smiled but if you did not sit at that section of the pool, were the entertainment happend nights became pretty boring.
All in all i had a good family break away. i would go back to this hotel and i would reccomend it. Altough i would not reccomend you booked it with sunstar leisure (what a waste of time holiday company)
apart from that the holiday was fine no complaints.

Returned 2 days ago from our holiday at the Rodos Village hotel.

Problems started at the airport - having to wait over a hour for our luggage to be taken off the plane. Too many night flights arriving from the UK within the space of a hour!!

Got to the hotel only to be given a room which seemed miles away - one of the highest spots on the complex - over 100 steps and ramps. A nightmare as we have a 5 year old and a 10 month old. Straightway asked to be moved - only to be told no chance until Wednesday (4 days wait). Bear in mind the temp was in the 40's every day. A nightmare having to traipse all that way with our son in his buggy along with all the usual paraphernalia. The room itself was OK. 4 single beds were provided.

The guy at Sunstar had ordered a cot for our son but they supplied a bed for him. They did finally change it though. Got moved to room 133 on the Wednesday as promised. Much better but we were all glad of the earplugs I'd packed at the music from the bar was defening until midnight. (Great if you like Bon Jovi).

Food was pretty non descript - but our daughter enjoyed the pancakes at breakfast. By the end of the holiday though it was awful. Queing was a major problem - reminicent of school dinners. Only seemed to have 1 CD in the resturant -

I never want to hear 'Lady in Red' or 'Carrie' again.
'Animation' staff did their best but after a couple of evenings of the mini disco and bingo we gave up.

Three swimming pools - Main one spoilt in the day by the animation team. 'Darts?' - give me a break - if we'd have wanted Butlins we'd have gone to Minehead!

Small pool half way up was nice - highest pool spoilt by groups of teenagers snogging and swearing at the tops of their voices.

Staff were OK - reception staff all need lessons in good customer service though. Had to pay 50 euros to keep our room until 11pm on the night of departure (2am pick up followed by 3 hour delay at airport finally left Rhodes at 9am the following morning.)

Hate to complain about holidays - we were determined to enjoy our selves but I came back more stressed out than when we left.

I have just returned from the Rodos Village hotel (arrived home two hours ago!) and very much enjoyed the experience.

Whilst the hotel is not 5* (4*, i would say) the only things to let it down are the beach (pebbly and fairly steeply shelving) and the condition of the bathrooms (in need of some refurbishment).

Apart from that, we had a lovely stay. The staff really made the trip for me; the waiters and waitresses are absolutely lovely, as are all the staff (with the sole exception of some of those at reception!) Be warned, however, the hotel is on a steep slope (many stairs or a very sharply rising bricked path up!) which would be very inconvenient for a wheelchair/pushchair.

The food is good (as soon as you arrive book for the pizzeria, the food is excellent and the staff lovely; equally it makes a nice change from the main restaurant.)

The pool facilities are fairly good, although in some places the pool is very deep (3.5m), and to get a sunbed you need to awake at 6am or earlier! I reccomend the smaller, third pool which is secluded and quieter than the others...also not plagued by entertainment staff, who have to be the most persuasive, determined people i have ever met!

The hotel itself is fairly isolated, but great if you only want a relaxing stay: if you want to go clubbing go elsewhere! It is very clean and the maids change the sheets every day, equally the hotel itself is in very good condition.
I really enjoyed my stay, and would reccomend it to others.

After reading terrible reports about the place we were dreading going. DON'T LISTEN TO THEM! Hotel was lovely(not 5 star by our standards, more like 4).The food was fantastic with a great selection every day. Staff are friendly and can't do enough for you. It's pretty hilly but that wasn't a problem, and the beach isn't pure white sands, but hey, you can't have it all! The only problem we encountered were moaning English holiday makers who did nothing but whinge about anything and everything. Forget the German's and the sunbed thing, believe us, we are much worse. Apart from that, we had a great holiday at this hotel, and also recommend venturing to the nearby taverna's, which were lovely too.

Arrived at Rhodos Village on the 26th July from the minute we arrived we enjoyed ourselves, the staff are exceptionally friendly, but like everyone else they can have a bad day!!!

The food was good most evenings, the odd night didnt find too much that we liked to eat so a couple of nights we went out to eat in a village called Lardos well worth a visit it is a small local village with some nice bars and restaurants to eat in.

The entertainment was very good and the animation team work very hard indeed doing darts' water gym, waterpolo etc and if you don't want to doing anything they don't push it too hard. We met some very nice people on our holiday and had a great time drinking and chatting etc. There were some very moany ones as well that didnt like children enjoying themselves like them jumping in the pooland generally enjoying themselves!!!

All in all had a great holiday would recemmend the hotel

I love the whole sand, sea and sun aspect of the holiday idea's. I was in a party of 15 and had 2 children under the age of 9 and an elderly lady in my party, the rest of us where between 14 and 50.

I found the the hotel catered for every age group and made us feel welcomed and relaxed, the food was nice, the maids were very pleasant and always folded the sheets in a way that made you feel welcomed throughout the two weeks we were there.

The location was nice as it has a shop near by and the beach is only about a 5 or 10 minute walk away. This made the place nice and quiet.

The staff were very helpful and this made the holiday enjoyable for the whole group.

On arrival at the hotel we were giving two rooms in the main hotel building on the second floor. On entering our rooms we found filth under beds which was still there when we left. Outside the rooms there were beds left for 4 or 5 days, there was broken glass which was not moved even when we complained to reception. Each morning between 5 and 6 we were woken by extremely loud banging coming from the kitchen as we were directly above it. This was for the entire holiday. The pool, is the most dangerous place we have ever come across. Immedietly around the pool is tiled, extremely slippy, during our stay one male guest had a tray full of drinks which were in glass and china plates, slipped fell onto his back, glass shattered in every direction including the pool. When reported to pool bar the guest was given a pan and brush to clean it up. We were horrified. Another guest had her holiday ruined due to broken glass again around the pool, which she had walked into and ended up in hospital for the remain of her holiday.

Night time entertainment was OK, but the shortage of chairs was ridiculous, the so called bar was a table with a cloth over it, and the ques were just beyond belief. My husband was spoken to in an extremely rude manner after ordering his drinks, he was extremely upset, for which there was no apology.

The location of this hotel is extremely hilly which we found difficult for the push chair. To say it is 100m to the beach we find questionable. After walking it twice in the extreme heat, we gave up.

Both restaurants were very good, however the pizzaria would have been better if you didn't have to book, to make it more available.

We as a family would DEFINITLY NOT vistit this hotel ever again.

We went to Rodos Maris on an late deal on an all inclusive basis so can't fault it for value. We have 3 kids ages 1,8,12, the older two absolutely loved it, they really enjoyed their freedom around the pools.

Entertainment was more family orientated, but the kids were happy and then so were we!! The staff in the main restaurant were great, always helpful didn't have to wait for a baby chair, they were straight there.

The food was more continental but was always hot when we were there, breakfasts not good at all though. The staff at all the bars were brilliant especially George at the pool bar!!

You do have to pre-book the taverna but it is well worth it we all enjoyed it. Staff can't do enough for you. The room was a little bit cramped but only because we had a travel cot and 2 camp beds.
The weather was great so we hardly spent any time in there. The cleaners came everyday and they kept everything spotless.

The sea had a sudden drop after a few feet so I would advise a little caution with the kids until they are used to it. The sand is red hot!!!!!

We would definately go there again.

P.S. no problem with international branded drinks they were always on offer!

Certainly not 5-star, v uninspiring, large and souless, but o.k. Our suitcase (& about 20 others) wasn't unloaded at Rhodes, we didn't get it back for 1 1/2 days. Our daughter got gastro-enteritis half-way through the week, I suspect due to sub-cooked burger. By end of holiday kids wouldn't eat anything. However was fabulous restaurant across the road on way to beach! If went again would go independently. No sense of being in Greece at hotel, could have been anywhere.
Kids liked entertainment but boring for adults.

Would recommend the Rodos Village hotel to anyone. It is a big complex altough very hilly and steep. Our room was away from main hotel. It was spotless with a lovely garden baclony and great view if the sea. Staff were very friendly and worked hard. Food good with nice fresh selection particuarly salads and puddings. Grill lacked a bit of variety.Hotel has good facilities, very clean, light and airy and has a nice outdoor bar. Could maybe have more bar staff but they are efficent and quick. Cocktails not brilliant but measures are really good!
