Hotel Food: Not bad. what you expect for an all inclusive but definitely not for a 5* all inclusive. There was no real variety and each day was basically the same food as the day before. You have the opportunity to eat in the italian restaurant aswell (you get waited on as opposed to a buffet) and I strongly reccommend that you book this as soon as you arrive because it is almost always fully booked: if you are there for a week book at least twice then you won't feel so bored with the food. The food in the Italian is much nicer than the main restaurant although again, no great variety.
Hotel Location: Exactly what the brochure/website tells you: isolated. There is hardly anything around you at all. The shop at the bottom of the road is much cheaper than the shop in the hotel (but the owner of the hotel shop (the bigger one out of the 2) is lovely and she will bend over backwards to help you).
Hotel Staff: this is by far my biggest complaint. I strongly reccommend that if you are single females (as myself and my friend were) do not stay in this hotel. On the whole, all the staff were extremely rude and spoke to us as if we were nothing. Two of the waiters spent the first three days standing on the balcony of the restaurant watching me sunbathe and in the pool which became so uncomfortable that I lost it and had to complain to the restaurant manager. The only nice staff were the cleaning ladies, the enteraintment team and the shop owner.
Entertainment: the 'Animation Team' were great. Always really friendly and the shows and events they put on were great, especially for children.
Luckily the weather was amazing and we met some great people. Had it not been for that I think we would have been desperate to come home, largely because of how we were treated. If you are going with a family or as a couple then I would reccommend the hotel but I wouldn't go with friends again.
A few pointers for your holiday:
Don't go with Sunstar-the rep in the hotel is awful.
Book the Italian quickly
If you are looking for a quiet holiday try to get rooms near the italian restaurant (the main pool gets very noisy and the entertaining goes on their till 12pm)
Go to breakfast early (the cues get really bad)

Staff were always pleasant in restaurant and food was always to a high standard. No complaints from any of us.
Pizzeria was excellent, so book on arrival. Overall, a good relaxing holiday. I would go back without the kids. The 5* rating is over the top, but some lovely views from the rooms. Showers could be improved, as usual showering in the evening is a battle for water.

Rather than taking the transfer bus to the hotel from the airport we took a taxi (38 euro's) we saved about 1 hour from the transfer time. We had no problems at all with checking in, we were in our room within about 15 mins of arriving at the hotel.
We were in a room at the top of the hill right next to the quite pool, that was lucky wouldn't have fancied one next to the main pool due to the noise. As far as sunbeds went, well there weren't many Germans there so didn't have to get up to early for one, just a slight lack of umbrella's though. The pool itself is great, just one slight problem with it, was that during our second week Greece were playing in the final of Euro 2004 and the pool man just wanted to get away early so he turfed everyone out early (5.45pm) then put too much chlorine in. This affected all our eyes for quite a few days. (Itching).
The main restaurant is well staffed and the food just keeps coming, I am a very fussy eater but didn't find any reason not to eat in there. The drinks are waitered served in there, they were just a little slow. Beware the restaurant can get very busy between 8pm - 9pm. The pizzeria does make a refreshing change from the restaurant, it was great to be waitered on. "Byran" the waiter in the pizzeria was great and was definately the most friendliest of all the staff in the hotel.
The room was kept very clean, the maids mopped the floor and changed both the towels and sheets everyday.
As far as the staff go, forget the reception, not helpful at all and the management, well that is another story! The entertainemnt team do do there best with the limited resources they obviously have available, but don't worry if you do miss a night or two, I can't say it was the best. You will struggle to get a seat if you go down after about 9pm.
"Magdna" The kiddies rep was great, the kids loved going down to the club that she ran, well done.
If we wanted another quiet holiday then I would go back to this hotel.
If you are going to this hotel, please pass on my regards to "Byran", just tell him "Mr Engineer" sends
his regards and he will understand, thanks.

The resort is very quiet but a great base for exploring the island - a car is a must have. The hotel staff are great and where very helpful. The only downsides would be - you have to pay for the gym 25 euros for the week! (tip use the sister hotels its only across the road and FREE) Also the entertainment was!!! well different. If you don't mind being subjected to a greek version of a holiday camp - very child orientated which is ok - but not until 12 o'clock at night! Even though we have children of our own we found that screaming kids running about in all the bar and public areas to all hours a bit too much. We suggest you hide your wrist band and go over to the sister hotel which seems a lot quieter.

the food was excellent all inclusive is such a great way of doing it and this was our first time at all inclusive.
the staff were very friendly and the lady in the hotel shop was great she will help you with anything you need to know.
everywhere is spotlessly clean and its only 2min walk to beach where there is a great beach bar with drinks and snacks. so anyone who may have been worrying please don't as you will not be dissapointed.

We found the food to be plentiful and varied with little or no queueing. My daughters,11 and 8, had no problem filling their plates with all sorts they`d not seen before {and some they had}. The Italian restaurant is a must but you should book early. Drinks were fine, sometimes waitress service and the only times we had to queue was when a football match was on and the T.V. room was very full.
The hotel is a little out of the way but the buses run regularly and a taxi to nearby Lardos and Lindos is cheap enough. The beach is a short walk away, past a couple of bars and shops etc. and we found there were always sunbeds available. Nice touch having a bar on the beach, with snacks, that stays open till late afternoon.
Entertainment staff work hard for their money, I don`t envy them, poolside games and miniclub during the day with the early evening performances aimed at the younger kids which was probably lost on children aged 10 and over. That doesn`t bother me {I`m still about 9 at heart} but I can imagine how some people might expect more. Around 9.30pm the adult entertainment {for want of a better way of putting it}gets under way. Participation is encouraged with tipsy, cross dressing dads singing to Gary Barlow on Karaoke - harmless fun! You get what you pay for -

The food was lovely, I don't eat lamb but there was lot's of other food to choose from so we didn't go hungry. During the day there was a constant supply of drinks and snacks the crepes and chocolate spread we delicious.
We didn't really sample the entertainment within the hotel as we hired a car and went off around the island but during the day it was very good and kept all children and the odd adult occupied.
