The resort of Kalamki looks clean and tidy. The refuse is collected early every day. There are a few pubs and restraunts in the resort. I highly recomend Heavens Kitchen and the Olive Tree for evening meals. The indian/chinese is very expensive. Drunk Corner is also very welcoming and they get to know their regulars. There is no entertainment or amusement for children in the resort which meant the children in our party got very bored very quickly. Kalamki Beach is good. There were still some turtle eggs hatching so there can be some restrications at this time of year. We would not visit this resort again with children as there just is'nt enough going on for them, but would visit as a couple.

We were spoilt by the quality of restaurants in the area, the standard of food was very high. We ate in a different restaurant most nights, returning to a couple. The only downside for us was the fact that most of the bars on the main street were either karaoke or sports bars but if that's your thing you'll like it. we found most of the not so noisy bars down the side roads
The beach was a bit small and not particularly clean, but to be fair that was down to the people using it

The resort itself is beautiful, the people, bars and beach. If you like white sands and gorgeous clear blue seas then kalamaki is the place you can walk straight along the beach to laganas if you fancy its about a 40 minute walk.

The only thing i will say is that the bars in kalamaki are slightly low key and its much quieter around this area but laganas is only 5 minutes in a taxi or 40 minute walk.
There is a great bar in Kalamaki called THE WHY NOT BAR and its great its run by a lovely couple Chris and Alison.

Resort clean overall, although the greeks have a habit of leaving stuff all over the place!
A quiet resort compared with it's noisy and brash neighbour Laganas.. plenty of tavernas and bars, only one club as such.. ideal really for couples and families who want to chill.
Pavements a bit variable, may present a problem to the less abled.

ONE WORD OF WARNING... ladies keep tight hold of your handbags and carry them on your "inside arm" - there's a few young lads who go round at speed on mopeds who will snatch your bag as they pass - it happened to my niece who's a rep out in Kalamaki this yer (if you see Cat the Thomson rep tell her Auntie Sara and Uncle John say HI!)

Beach a little narrow, but overall quieter (noise wise) better than Laganas where the beach front tavernas pull customers onto their sunbeds with beer and footy on the TV.

Beach pretty clean, 2 sunbeds and a parasol 7euros a day

Would definately return.

Kalamaki was a lovely resort! The beach was fantastic - nice and sandy, lovely water and very long! There was people patrolling them to make sure litter wasn't left lying etc so it was clean too!

We gave the cleanliness 3 star. There wasn't litter lying around or anything and we found all the pubs etc very clean but there were a few empty properties that looked a bit of a mess. But no big deal really.

We gave the resort entertainment 4 stars as although we didn't really go to anything there was lots of different things on the pubs and resteraunts notice boards. Always something on somewhere ranging from singing acts, greek nights, karaoke, bingo, barbeques etc. Loadsa stuff! Alot of the pubs had sports on(mainly football) and seemed quite busy. They also showed uk soaps like corrie, eastenders and emmerdale so you don't have to miss your soaps! haha! I think there was only 1 or maybe 2 actual clubs but Laganas with all it's discos and nightclubs is really close so you can still party if you wish!

Kalamaki was a beautiful resort very flat and easy to walk. A number of bars and travernas which we found reasonable priced. Laganas easily within walking distance. People were very friendly and not to pushy as can be found in some resorts. Kalamaki is one long street and at the far end a more traditional greek atmosphere can be found. We found the resort itself very clean and the beach soft golden sand.

not a bad place to visit but once you have been up n down the strip a few times it can get boring.......never really had a bad meal all the resturants were very clean and the staff were all helpfull........the olive tree is one worth a visit.................the beach is not bad although there is not enough sun loungers.......and there are lotsof turtle people walking up n down offering advice........lots of places were closed n boarded up.....but i rally enjoyed the resort

we stayed in kalamaki we never did the trips (due to my wife breaking her foot the week before we went)many people did and seemed to enjoy them. we walked all around kalamaki bless the wife wouldn't give up walking.we chose to eat mostly in the greek restraunts the food was wonderful very tasty we really had a great time, crazy golf is a must day or night.we could only go on parts of the beach due to the turtles nesting as the eggs needed to be protected.so the beach was open from 8 in the morning till 8 at night.personally i would say kalamki is not where i would go with children as there is nothing at for them there except for the swimming pools.the waterpark is in tslivi which we were told is a great day out.

Kalamaki is a great family resort. There are lots of resturants. We found the Olive Tree, Escape and Heavens Kitchen to be our favs, but never really had a bad meal there in 6 years.

The beach isn't the best but you can walk further round and there is a nice one opposite Stani's.
