The resort of Kalamaki is lovely and very Tranquil, there is a little night life, but if you really want to hit the clubs stay in Laganas. the beach is beautiful, and the sea is so clear and shallow, and not too overcrowded. there is a little snack shack just off the beach, there is a man that walks up and down the beach every day seling doughnuts, and after a couple of days my kids were doing impressions of him so funny to listen to them I love this resort, had a totally rexaling holiday, and will deffinately be returning

The resort was pretty clean and tidy.No issues in this area. Live entertainment on the "strip" was almost non existent other than the greek nights in the taverna's.
Eating out was superb. The taverna's served up fantastic food ranging from the local traditional dishes to the classic steaks and pasta served all over the world. A few worthy of visit include the mermaid, heavens kitchen, ambrosia, the olive tree and the diaz. After dinner entertainment usually consisted of enjoying alittle karoke of the duo in the irish bar.We would return because we had a really relaxing holiday and the greek people were really friendly and helpful.

Kalamaki is a nice resort which is quite spread out along a main road. There are lots of bars, restaurants and shops to choose from. Our particular favourite restaurant was the Tesoro. The staff were very friendly and made a special fuss over our grandchildren. Mermaids restaurant had the larges plates I have ever seen and the food was very good. The beach is sandy but there are not sunbeds or umbrellas on the beach due to the nesting of the turtles. It can be very hot without any shade there. The sea is quite shallow for a long way and is good for children. In the resort there is a mini golf which costs 5 Euros for adults for 18 holes. There are two courses to choose from.

stayed here for 1week in june. the first few days the resort was a bit quite on a night but everywhere was still open and every one who worked there was very chatty. the resort had loads of nice places to eat heavans kitchen on the main strip and zeppos (next to the beach) were are favourates. they had quite bars and livley bars offering drink offers and shots if you came in but you didnt get any hassel if you didnt want to go in, try the cocktail bar therapy they make the best cocktails and will even make one up for you if you dont see any you like , the beach was very clean due to the turtles nesting there. there was plenty of people selling day trips all for similar prices some you can haggle with the boat trip rond the island is a good trip to do, didnt think much to the water park maybe would be ok if you had kids. overall this resort would suit most people from those wanting a replaxing holiday to those who want to go clubbig as laganas is the next resort on 7euros in a taxi.

Kalamaki is a quite quiet out of season but very clean and everybody is very polite and welcoming. The resort was spotlessly clean and people were continuously cleaning the pavements and washing them down.
The beach is covered in turtle eggs so not really a sunbathing beach during May, but absolutely beautiful.
We found some lovely restaurants including Heavens Kitchen. The food was very good. There is also an English restaurant called YoYo,s which was nice too.
The staff in all of the restaurants were lovely and also in most of the shops.
We would definately return as it is a very welcoming environment.

Kalamaki has every thing you need re shops plenty of places to eat.It has just one main street but you can buy just about every thing you will need on holiday.A Good beach but if you go in may/june a lot of the beach is closed due to the turtles laying there eggs. We went at the end of may so i dont know how long the egg laying goes on for.

Kalamaki is a nice resort, there are lots of hotels/apartments and lots of restaurants, bars and places to eat/drink.

The beach isn't spectacular. You are much better off walking the 2mile or so walk along the beach to Laganas where there are plenty more places to sunbathe, eat, drink, hire pedaloes and go on boat trips to see the turtles etc.

As Kalamaki is so close to the airport its actually quite a nice sight watching the planes land or take off.

We went to Kalamaki in May so the resort was VERY quiet, especially after 10pm. Most of the bars were almost empty except the most popular ones (eg. the cronulla, the rose and crown, the fire club and the iguana bar).

I would return, but only if i got a cheap deal!

The resort we found to be clean and tidy, the Beach was clean with a fairly good selection of sun beds, but as it is a protected area due to the Turtle population you had to be off it by a certain time but this was not a problem.entertainment was fairly low key but as it was May when we went I should imagine it would have more going for it later in the season, although nearby Laganos was the place for the younger holiday maker

Kalamaki was a pleasant little town with a large selection of eating houses and we again were impressed by the friendly staff of a large number of these, and the Heavens Kitchen was one in particular and the Escape another both worth a visit.all in all a very pleasant holiday
