Location
The hotel was very clean although I think the rooms need updating, pool and surrounding area e.g. outdoor showers need to be cleaned more and the beach I never saw being cleaned and there was a lack of bins.
The hotel staff worked very had but the hotel seemed understaffed and could not cope with the fully booked hotel during my stay, they were not as friendly as on a previous stay due to this.
The food was of a good standard for breakfast although the food was not always hot which needs to be improved upon also the entertainment was average standard but not enough selection and nothing for young people or childeren, entertainment aimed at the older guest.
Hotel is defintely worth a visit with some improvement needed to keep it at 4 star standard.

We had a very enjoyable holiday, mostly stayed around the pool during the day and you do have to put your towels down early if you want a good spot - we thought it was only the Germans that did that but no its us Brits as well!
If you don't do it then you don't get a good spot! We only had breakfast and there was plenty to choose from so no complaints there, so many other restaurants to choose from outside the hotel, if you want to go out for your evening meal.
Hotel staff were pleasant, we didn't really have much contact with them, room was nice enough, always cleaned each day with clean towels etc. Nice having tea/coffee facilities and nice to sit out on the balcony with a drink.
Try and get a pool or sea view if you can, think that a street view would be a bit dismal.Hotel central to small town, plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. Pool is freezing, feel it more if you are in the sun all day! Toweling dressing gowns and slippers in the rooms - nice touch.
Small fridge in the rooms, handy for keeping your water cold and your drinks, shower nice and warm, your own safe, loads of hanging space, tv, although hard to get any English speaking channels, Only evening entertainment we watched was on the last evening, the Greek night which was quite good watching the dancers.
No children with us but don't think that there was anything for youngsters to do at this hotel. Had a great relaxing, sunbathing break thank you Zante Maris.

we booked half board and were a little bit dissapointed with the evening meal side of it, as the food at dinner was not up to 4* standard. the breakfast was very good and would book on a bed and breakfast basis if we stayed there again, which i hope we will.
the hotel itself was kept very clean by the always busy room maids and cleaning staff. our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels nearly every day and bed linen when needed. we had a sea view room with a brilliant view and would be happy to pay the extra for that type of room again. the only thing i would say against the cleanliness is the carpets in the hotel rooms and corridors could do with being changed but overall the hygene was very good.
the location is excellent right on the beach where we spent most of our days and only a short stroll to the centre of tsilivi.
the staff are mostly very good, speak good english and are always willing to help. a special mention must go to takis who was a gentleman throughout our holiday, alma and bella who were always smiling and cheery and would never pass you without saying hello and asking if everything was ok. john the barman from glasgow also worked very hard on an evening and nothing seemed too much bother to him.
entertainment wise we never stayed in the hotel for long at night so cant really comment but others who stayed said the elvis night and also the singer hayleybelle were good.
the only problem we encountered at this hotel was one morning we awoke to find we had no water in our room which we heard was due to a pump failure somewhere in the hotel but which was quickly rectified within an hour and a half with a new pump being fitted.
i recommend this hotel to anyone visiting tsilivi but would advise to book b+b as there a are plenty of very good places to eat out in the resort.

The cleanliness of the rooms and public areas is first class. The staff are very professional. We didn't stay in for the evening entertainment much, what we did see was not up to much to be honest but others there enjoyed it.
This was our second stay there so we knew what to expect the hotel in some aspects could do with a refurbish i.e bathrooms and the robes are now a bit tatty but overall I can highly recommend this hotel.

It is in an excellent position right on the beach and kept extremely clean by the ever smiling cleaning staff.
The staff in the restaurant were particularly good, especially Alma, who never stopped working and was always pleasant.
We stayed on a half board basis and were not disappointed, however there are lots of restaurants close by to try.
We saw some of the entertainment which was ok but would be boring a second week!

I would go back if there was different staff and better food but other than that it isn't a 4 * hotel at all.. it's more of a retirement home for people so if you're young don't go there!!!!

Rooms very clean and cleaning staff very good.
It rained quiet a lot when we were there in September and our ground floor room was flooded twice. Hotel had poor drainage.
Flies were a problem in restaurant, doors were left open and they were everywhere.
Breakfasts were ok,with hot as well as usual continental style available. Orange juice was awful.
Evening entertainment poor, but occasionaly a good artist was on.
The pool was lovely but most people prefered the sea which was warmer and very clean. Hotel provided lilos and other equipment to use in sea.

The maid service was spot on and the hotel sparkling.
We did not use the hotel restaurant, preferring to visit the resort for meals, we did use the deck bar for lunchtime snacks, the menu was varied the quality good and also good value.
We did not stay in the hotel for the entertainment but we did use the bar in the early evenings the staff where a good laugh .
We used the hotel laundry service and again the staff where excellent.
We highly recommend this hotel.

Entertainment was rubbish but there were plenty of restaurants nearby with something on.
My son 17 was really bored though and there was nothing for teenagers to do in this area.
The hotel pool was ok but again sun beds all taken before you could get there as people must get up in the night to reserve theirs. Stupid. We only had B+B and their was plenty of choice and everything was really nice.
I found the area itself a nightmare to get around in a wheelchair though as pavements are so high and there are no slopes to get down. The roads are really uneven too so be carefull.
We went on a couple of trips booked ourselves at a fraction of the cost than with the rep.
Altogether a good holiday but wish they would sort their roads and pavements out.

The indoor pool was freezing, the Jacuzzi was never on either indoors or at the side of the pool apart from 1 day on the second week and then it was broken and didn't come on again!!
The food was good if you were there for a week but theres only so much pork or beef stew you can eat and the hot breakfast was appalling!! Bar staff and waiters were brilliant, cleaners came and changed the sheets every day.
The entertainment was very poor, the entertainments manager was one word, false!! Spent all her time ignoring you unless you were stuck up her backside.
All in all the Zante Maris was a nice hotel but certainly isn't a 4 star as the facilities are not up to scratch and there was nothing planned for when the weather was bad for 2 days.
