Not that bad though. Hotel is fairly clean, maid service everyday. Smell in corridors not bad although noticeable,
room was hot all night (aircon useless, fans not working).
Had one visit from a cockroach through the shower drain plug (tip from a local, cover the plughole, thats what they do)
Booked 2 rooms with ensuite & connecting doors as my 16 year old son & girlfriend came with us, got a family room.
Complained following morning, son & g/friend moved to own room, rep then demanded extra

Flight and food on plane were excellent and no problems with our transfer to hotel, which was the Palm Court.
When we arrived and saw that dark carpet on the corridors we thought all the reports that we had read were right about this hotel, but first impressions were wrong because we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The beds were changed during our week there and towels if left in shower tray were changed daily.
The food was good basic breakfast, only tried one lunch but enjoyed the fresh sandwiches and the evening meal had a choice of carved meats most nights, chicken, chops, fish, and loved the curry so we had no complaints as there was always something.
Had a couple of good nights on the patio with music and drinks.
Went on a few trips so had packed lunches which were good, asked chef the one night to put carvery meat on our sandwiches for next day and we did get a change of filling which was good of them.
You only have to ask and we have found the Maltese very obliging and helpful,we will return again which will be our fifth visit to Malta.

We didnt really spend much timer in the hotel but for the price of 137.00 who could could complain. We found a lido down the road from the hotel where the food and surroundings were second to none.
The food was ok no one would starve there, there was an english breakfast cereals ect, evening meal carvery, fish and chicken a range of salads, soup fresh bread. Its cheap if you want to stay in a posh hotel then its not for you but expect to pay a lot more.

In fact we really enjoyed the karaoke nights -
The swimming pool was clean and the area hosed down every night- the other guests were brilliant and friendly - I would certainly return to the Palm Court on all inclusive again -

The first impression was bad, we had to wait about half an hour to check in as there was only one staff on reception and he wasn't any help at all. At 4am it wasn't fun.
The corridors were old and smelly but I was surprised at the room it was basic but very clean and the beds were fine.
The rep was available every day for about 3 hours but we had nothing to complain about, we did hear other people complain but I think if they wanted five star treatment they should have paid five star money.
The food was nice if a bit repetitive but for what we paid we ate out a few times just to try Maltese food.
The staff were OK and were helpful if asked for help.
The entertainment was really bad, bingo and a bad singer but as we weren't all inclusive we didn't stay in the hotel at night.
We stayed around the pool two afternoons but preferred the beach as the pool was too crowded.
