This holiday was my third time at the Palm Court and I can honestly say it has been by far the best holiday I have ever had.

The staff were excellent the receptionists were fantastic and friendly. They have become from my point of view very good friends of ours and the same goes for the wonderful bar staff who kept us entertained. They were all so helpful we could'nt have been happier.

There was a lovely family atmosphere in the hotel day and night as a lot of the guests myself and family who were with me all got together and had such a good time. We are all going to try and meet up next year.

People can say what they like, but for me the Palm Court is the place to stay.

Thanks to everyone involved in the running of the Hotel.

See you all next year.

Having stayed in the sister hotel, Venus, last year, using the Palm Court for some meals and entertainment, we have booked again for this year, and doubt we will even look elsewhere for cheap and cheerful accommodation, which leaves more spendo's for sightseeing and doing things outside of the hotel, which is the soul reason for going to such a beautiful country.

We got what we paid for and were highly satisfied.

My husband and I stayed at the Palm Court Hotel for a week, arrived back last Sunday. Was a bit apprehensive after reading the differing reports but was prepared to give it a go.

All in all the hotel was not too bad, the corridors were a bit smelly and grubby. We were given a room on the 3rd floor, but asked to be moved. We ended up on the 4th floor in a much better room. Apparently the rooms on the 4th and 5th floors are better. Ask to be moved if you're not satisfied with the allocated room, whichever floor you're on. The reception staff will give you a key for another room so that you can inspect it.

The food was quite good, better than I expected and there was plenty of it. The breakfast was the same everyday and the sweet menu wasn't very varied, always fruit salad, cake/gateau and ice cream.

The hotel location was good, plenty of bars, restaurants about. The hotel staff were very friendly, but the receptionists could have been more cheerful. The entertainment was very loud, karaoke, bingo etc.

The pool area was okay, pool a bit grubby, but it was well used.

We heard from the owner of a bar just up the road from the Palm Court that it was actually being pulled down and rebuilt in a couple of years time. Don't really know how true this is but you'd expect someone living there to know. Having said that no-one in the hotel mentioned it, well they wouldn't, would they.

Cleanliness - filthy pee/blood stained mattress, ants in bed, cockroaches in room, we didn't know what a maid was. Fridge with all inclusive sandwiches in was rusty and mildew patches in it, tatty ripped towels, threadbare carpets.

Cleanliness of the outdoor pool - every night a man would pour detergent over walkway around pool and then scrub with brush and you had to hope that not to
much detergent got in the pool.

Food, very basic, not of 3 star standard, very limited choice.

Staff were friendly enough, very helpful giving me pesticides for my room.

Entertainment - only had kareoke.

We were basically made to stay in the palm court after we arrived at the airport to catch our British Jet flight home and, what do you know, the flight had been cancelled. when we asked at the desk the member of staff told us that the flight had been rescheduled because it was not full!!

They asked us if we wanted to wait four days for the next flight home which with work commitments we could not do, so they offered us a night in the Palm Court so we could catch a more reliable airline than British jet home the next day!!

British jet, who runs the palm court, is liable to tell any customer of a change to flight details 14 days before they travel. They did not and therefore are in contradiction of EC261/2004 and we will expect compensation to arrive.

British jet dispute this and say that they informed us of the change of flight details, not so, they lie, we will pursue this all the way and the publicity will follow us!!

Take heed all who travel british jet and stay at the palm court!!

Did not use entertainment as many bars, restaurants etc very close and we like to wander.

As most reviewers have said "you get what you pay for" plenty of food, fairly bland but good choice inclusing Maltese type dishes. bus station veery close, please do use Maltese buses, cheap and fun, tour operators close by offering good value trips, cheaper than hotel, but not quite as good because you either go on a minibus and have to spend time dropping off at various hotels.

Visit towns and villages and take a boat trip or two, there is plenty to do in Malta. We have been to Palm Court twice and we will be going again soon, nowhere better for the price.

Well, we have been back for three days now and what a great time we had. Please don't be put off by any bad reports.

We stayed at the Palm Court for one week on a full board basis. When we arrived I was very worried having seen some of the reports about this hotel however, I was very pleasantly surprised. The best first impression was opening the door to our room and being hit by an icy blast of air from the excellent air conditioning (much appreciated at the time). I was also surprised at how clean our room was, quite a basic room with two single beds, dressing table, mirror on wall, wardrobe and two bedside cabinets.

We were staying on a full board basis. The breakfast was the same every day which was a choice of cooked English breakfast or cereal with plenty of bread and rolls available, jams, juice, tea, coffee etc. Main meal in the evening was fine, starter which was always a soup or you could have a pasta dish, followed by a choice of four main meals, you could have all four if you wish. We found the food excellent and ate too much every night as you do!!

The location we found great, close to everything but not right in the middle of a busy street so you could sleep at night, although you only had to wander one minute in any direction to get to shops or the front.

Most of the staff were helpful and accommodating however we did find the reception staff a bit stressed on occasions, maybe its the long hours they work.

I have got to be honest, we did not stay in the hotel at night, being the sort of people that like to go out and about so I cannot comment on the evening entertainment.

Well what can I say, you only get what you pay for, it was basic.

The rooms felt damp and the corridors were too, maybe if they took the carpets up on all the floors it would seem fresher.

One other thing is the stray cats that live round the pool area, I love animals but the smell of cat wee and poo really gets under your nose while lying round the pool, this does encourage flies which was another problem.

The food was also basic but edible, this hotel is in a good location though, bus station just up the road.

The staff are hard working nice people.

The outdoor entertainment was ok, would go back if it was done up a bit.

This was our second stay, and can say was better second time around. maybe because we knew what to expect but when you pay so little what do you expect.

I'm with frog on all they say lots of food to choose from and I agree why swim in a pool when you have a lovely sea, already planning next trip.

The staff are fine and most really cheerful.

Cannot comment on entertainment never spent the nights in the hotel bar area.
